The scenery is beautiful. We saw a marmot and mountain goats.
We got an early start at 6:49AM and there were only a few cars in the parking lot. On the way back, we passed numerous people. We were shocked when we got back to the lodge and parking lot areas, as there were cars, Harleys, bicyclists and people everywhere. The hike was really nice; however, the lodge area was swarming with activity.

Squaw Mountain Fire Lookout Tower, Arapaho National Forest
The Squaw Mountain Fire Lookout Tower is located on the top of the same mountain that provides a lot of VHF and UHF repeater coverage to the Denver area in Colorado. The fire lookout tower, and radio antennas and towers, are all located at about 11,400 feet (3,475 metres) in Clear Creek County directly west of the Denver area.
Here's my personal webpage about antennas:

Pikes Peak (originally Pike's Peak) is a mountain in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains within Pike National Forest, 10 mi (16 km) west of Colorado Springs, Colorado, in El Paso County in the United States of America.
Originally called El Capitán by Spanish settlers, the mountain was renamed Pike's Peak after Zebulon Pike, Jr., an explorer who led an expedition to the southern Colorado area in 1806. The Arapaho name is heey-otoyoo' (long mountain).[3]
At 14,115 feet (4,302 m),[1] it is one of Colorado's 54 fourteeners, mountains that rise more than 14,000 feet (4,300 m) above mean sea level, and rises 8,400 feet (2,600 m) above the city of Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak is a designated National Historic Landmark.
