3D Archery in Warsaw
This weekend Warsaw Local went to check out the 3D Archery in Warsaw. 3D Archery is not just standing and shooting at targets, you must travel through a forest with your bow and arrow in hand. Around the forest you'll find (fake) animals hiding. There are two spots you can shoot from and the points are counted on where you hit the animal.
You can more about the location on their Facebook page:

The British Horseback Archery Championships
Horseback archery is the latest equestrian sport to come to the UK; imported from Hungary and Germany just a few years ago. There are two main styles of Horseback Archery and at the British Championship the Korean Discipline is used.
The sport is a combination of horse riding and the skill of archery. It takes place on a 100-metre fenced course and involves a full gallop with no reins, loading arrows into the bow and shooting at a large target from different angles. Points are marked both with your arrow to target score along with your time down the track, these are totalled and make the final score.
The history of the sport originates from the people of the Steppe region such as the Mongols, Persians, Turks, Syrians, Sarmatians and the Huns. The military practice later turned into an equestrian sport but was only really practised by a handful of people in countries such as Korea and Japan where their traditions lived on. It was brought back to life by the Hungarian, Kassia Lajos in approximately 1988 and he introduced the sport to Europe.
Since becoming a discipline in its own right, it has grown in popularity and spread through too many countries including Hungary, Germany, Poland, France, Greece, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, the US and now the UK. At the British Championship competitors had to hit 1, 2 or 3 arrows on the run, the latter being the hardest as by the last shot competitors often have to twist to aim at a rear target.
There is clearly an adrenalin surge in this sport but the combination of skills used makes it a hard sport to master.
With a heritage of success in both separate disciplines, it seems likely that this sport has a bright future in the UK. After the day's competition it was Neil Payne from Somerset who was top dog.
