Arizona Hot Springs Hike, Lake Mead National Park
The Arizona Hot Springs comprises of 4 pools of water ranging from 100 degrees Fahrenheit to 111 degrees at the source. The source provides mineralized water to the pools at an astonishing 30 gallons per minute. If you venture down the ladder, near the last pool, you will have a 1,000-foot walk to the Colorado River. I have done this several times and it is such an amazing sight to see the river at the end of the trail.
The hike is 6 miles round trip and there are two routes that you can take. I have only done the Hot Spring Canyon Trail. I hear that the White Rock Canyon Trail is just as beautiful. I may try that route in a few weeks and update you with a video on Instagram.
I will be creating a hot spring guide soon. It will include everything you need to know about hot spring etiquette, hot to get to certain hot springs and what you need before you go. You can get the complete guide and other guides by subscribing as a Patreon. (Only $1).
There will be a small printable available to those who subscribe to my email list on my website.

Hiking Goldstrike Canyon Hot Springs Las Vegas Nevada
Located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area along the Colorado River, Gold Strike Canyon contains a number of natural hot springs, ranging in temperature from 70 to 144 degrees. It is possible, albeit rather dangerous, to reach the springs by canoe, but most visitors prefer to make the six-mile hike to the pools from U.S. Highway 93, which takes about two and a half hours.
Features to look for along the way include a water fall, numerous caves, crystalline stalactites and stalagmites, narrow passages, and 100-foot-high canyon walls. Scrambling across boulders is required to reach the hot spring pools, which are terraced into the landscape for about 100 yards. Many of the pools are deep enough for bathing and even swimming. They have a slightly blue-green tint due to the algae that grows in the very hottest water.
To get there from Las Vegas, take U.S. Highway 93 south toward Boulder City and Hoover Dam. About half a mile past the Hacienda Casino (aka the former Goldstrike Casino), take a right onto the road that goes south under the new highway. At the fork in the road past the east-bound highway on-ramp, turn left and go down to the bottom of the canyon. A half-mile further on, the road ends at the trailhead. FOLLOW MOUNTAIN DO

Hiking Near Las Vegas at Arizona Hot Springs Trail (Colorado River!)
???? SUBSCRIBE -
Welcome back to another video! In today's vlog we are going hiking through the Arizona Hot Springs Trail which leads to the Colorado River and into hot springs as well. This is one of the most popular hikes near the Las Vegas area, and for good reason!
Once you arrive, you can setup a chair, relax near the water, go for a swim or even continue hiking to the actual hot springs which are about another mile or so into the canyons.
Best advice I can give is bring PLENTY of water; I would recommend at least a gallon if you plan on doing the entire hike, going to the hot springs and spending some time in the sun. Also be sure you load up on sunscreen to avoid sunburn. Last, I would NOT recommend this hike during the summer months and I'm not sure if the trail is even open during summer because of extreme temperatures. I did this hike in April of 2019, and the temperate was about 75 which was perfect for how long this hike is.

Gold Strike Hot Springs: Hiking Las Vegas
The INCREDIBLE Gold Strike Hot Springs hike is in Boulder City, about 30 minutes from Las Vegas and Henderson. At about 8.5 miles and 1,000' in elevation change, this hike is rated STRENUOUS. There are several ropes throughout the bouldering sections to help with safe passage. This trail is closed during the summer due to high heat. Take LOTS of water, snacks, and gloves for the rope sections. I have to say, with so much landscape diversity and so many technical aspects, this is my new favorite hike!

Gold Strike Hot Springs Canyon | Las Vegas, NV | 2017
Saturday was a beautiful day to go hiking at Gold Strike Hot Springs Canyon here in lovely Las Vegas near the Hoover dam.
The hike took a little over 2 hours to the Colorado river, but it was worth it. Beautiful Hot Springs, clear running water, sky scraper high canyons, friendly hikers to assist you along your descend. What more can you ask for?

Hiking To The Arizona Hot Springs
Whether you are an avid hiker or just someone looking for a fun adventure for the day, this hike is a challenging hike with a big payoff. We found ourselves taking the 3 mile hike toward the Arizona Hot Springs on the perfect day in early January. While the rest of the country was being blasted by cold weather, mid 60s and light winds made for the perfect day.
We started our hike a bit later in the day than originally expected and so after melting into the amazing waters of the hot springs it made it a bit hard to leave for the trek back to the parking area. We ended up hiking back in the dark and while it was a bit more confusing this way, the stars at night were so amazing!

Visiting Arizona Hot Springs - Arizona, USA
The springs around Lake Mead National Recreation Area provide a unique opportunity for visitors to experience nature’s version of a hot bath. Arizona Hot Spring is probably the most popular spring in the park and visited by thousands throughout the year.
Arizona Hot Springs in Black Canyon on the Colorado River
A group of us hiked up to the Arizona Hot Springs from the river while kayaking. The hike only took a few minutes and the terrain was fairly easy, other than the metal ladder (watch the video to see).
Arizona Hot Springs
This is a great hike that starts 4 miles south of the Hover dam and takes you down the Arizona hot springs trail through the slot canyons and hot springs and ends at the Colorado river. there is beautiful views along the way and you may even get to see big horn sheep up on the cliffs. there is another trail called white rock canyon that leads back to the trailhead with a side trail that goes to liberty arch. the trail is fairly easy but bring plenty of water and a snack.

TOP TRAVEL TIPS:
*Reservations are required. They take phone calls to reserve a spot. Here's the website with their reservation calendar:
*Bring headlamps so you can stay late and hike back in the dark in order to have the whole place to yourself like we did.
*Clothing is optional- there will likely be naked people in close proximity, just fyi.
*The hike is a gradual and easy 4.5 miles which follows the logging road.
*The water is very nice with three pools: the lower water was around 90 degrees fahrenheit, the middle pool 104 degrees, and the upper pool/ cave water temp is 111 degrees.
*Bring a hand towel for taking pictures! We forgot one and it's tough to keep your hands and the lens clean with the heat of the water, and there always a high chance of rain in the Cascades.
*The drive in gets pretty difficult after the sharp right turn. A vehicle with good tires and off road capabilities is a must.
*The driving directions in are also not very clear, but here's the driving route in:
The journey included:

Northwest NV Expedition Part IV: Bog and Dyke Hot Springs
Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #177!
This is Part IV of my Northwestern Nevada series, in which some adventurous girlfriends and I set out to explore the hot springs, abandoned cabins and ghost towns of NW Nevada. After leaving Soldier Meadows, we continued on north toward the Oregon border, through some of the most DESOLATE country I've ever seen...stopping at two hot springs with somewhat unappealing names: BOG and DYKE. But what's in a name?! They were both awesome, and beautiful in a very bleak, desolate way.
