Balaram Mahadev Historical Temple of 5000 years old,this Shiv temple of the Mahabharata times, It is situated about 10 KM from Palanpur city. Pandavas visited this place and stayed here for some time. There is a small dam near the Mahadev temple and a river. The temple has a sacred cow with a constant water flow from mouth.

Balaram Mahadev Historical Temple of 5000 years old,this Shiv temple of the Mahabharata times, It is situated about 10 KM from Palanpur city. Pandavas visited this place and stayed here for some time. There is a small dam near the Mahadev temple and a river. The temple has a sacred cow with a constant water flow from mouth.
The sacred temple of Balram Mahadev is situated about 12 kms from in Banaskantha district. The palaces of the Nawab and Hindu Temples are also worth seeing. The palace is in a neo-Classical Baroque style, with arcades and classical columns. It has now been taken over by a private entrepreneur, and opened as a resort. The huge gardens, their contours clearly defined, have been landscaped to blend exotic plants, bridges and ramps for easy access into the original Nawabi design. The entrance pathway is lit by lampposts resembling parabadis, the traditional bird feeding posts of Gujarat. The place has been painted in a gracious creamy tone, and glass has been added to protect the interiors from dust. Interiors have been newly appointed, as the original furniture was stolen, with modern handcrafted pieces, and western style bathrooms, televisions, telephones and refrigerators have been added to the rooms for the modern traveller.
Balaram River is a river in Banaskantha district of Gujarat, India. It flows entirely in Banaskantha district and merges into Banas River at 14 km before Dantiwada Dam.[1] [2]
Balaram Shiva Temple
Balaram Palace is located on the bank of this river. Surrounding area of this river is known as Balaram Ambaji Wildlife Sanctuary. Balaram temple is also located on the bank of this river.
The Balaram palace resort is situated amidst the aravallis in the 542 sq. kilometers of the balaram ambaji reserve forest.
Mangalya Van Ambaji
Mangalya Van is one of best artificial mini forest which is developed by Gujarat Forest department. I really believe they have make this nice initiative.
Here you can visit this place with friends, group or place in pure natural air. You may be good photography too.

Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctury | જેસોર વન્યજીવ અભિયારણ
Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary is situated in the district of Banaskantha and it is almost 35 kms far from Palanpur. This forest spreads over 180 square kms and declared as sanctuary in May, 1978. The Jessore Hills falls under Arvalli Hills.
Jessore Hills popularly known as sanctuary of sloth bear but it is less opportunity that you get that chance. But you can walk to up hill and visit Kedarnath Mahadev Temple which will take almost 30-40 minutes of walk from parking.
When you visit this place, please make sure you will carry water and some food because here you will not get this kind of any facility until you reach to the temple. Moreover, you will only get water at Temple.
This is so natural place but it gets so beautiful during monsoon and just after the monsoon.
Here they not charge any money for entry ticket but you must have to register yourself before entering to the sanctuary area and it is mandatory.
I found during my visit that many schools and groups organised to visit this beautiful place as picnic and a day trip.
