Our Tour:
We started day 1 of the best tour in Bali in Ubud where we got to see a traditional Balinese dance performance called the Barong and Kris dance. If you guys remember, Stacia spent her whole life dancing so this was especially fun for her to see! This performance is only scheduled 1 time per day from 9-10am and this Balinese dance was strictly used only for ceremonies until they decided to share it with the public starting in 1990.
Next on our journey through Ubud Bali was to see the local artisans, Silver Making, Painting, and Wood Carving. We were not able to fit this into our video, but know if you take this tour with Bali Golden Tour you will visit these local artisans and their sales rooms. We then travelled a quick 10 minutes away to see Batuan Temple. This is the oldest Hindu Temple in Bali that is open to the public. Batuan Temple dates back to 1020 AD and is a large tourist destination in Ubud Bali Indonesia.
No guide to Ubud would be complete without visiting the Tegallalang Rice Terraces. We were hesitant to visit Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud because we heard how touristy it would be, but the place was absolutely gorgeous! Although there were many tourists at the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, the space was so big that you had plenty of room to explore in peace. We highly recommend going as one of the best places in Ubud. We also visited an Ubud alternative called Sidemen about an hour northeast and saw gorgeous rice terraces there as well. Make sure you check out that video and tell us which one you would rather visit!
Last on the tour we had lunch at one of the best places in Bali, Mount Batur. The restaurant we ate at had an unobstructed view of the Bali Volcano and we were in awe of the beauty! Lunch was very good, there was a mixture of Indonesian food, Indian food, and Western food. After lunch, we took a 2 hour drive north through the center of Bali Indonesia to Lovina Beach in North Bali. We spent the night in a fantastic hotel right Lovina Beach and had an excellent dinner that was also kindly included in the tour.

Otherwise we aim to share the lesser-known attractions of Bali and the more off-the-beaten-track routes and tours in Bali.

Welcome to Bali! In this video, we visit the top sights in Ubud including the temples, volcanoes, and rice terraces.
Our tour starts as we visit two of the most iconic Hindu temples: Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, which is the image on the Indonesian 50,000 Rupiah bill and located on Lake Bratan and Tirta Empul Temple, which is a UNESCO Site with a purifying fountain. Price - I paid $77 USD per night for this full Balinese villa in the rice paddies
During our trip to Bali, I really wanted to stay in a Balinese villa, specifically surround by rice fields. So after some searching I found a place near Ubud that looked very quiet and nice.
It was a beautiful place, very relaxing and I enjoyed the entire community.
We had 2 full rooms, a swimming pool, a kitchen, and a living space. And one of the best things about staying in a Balinese villa in the rice paddies is being able to take walks and just enjoying the incredible countryside of Bali.
Our host family that owns the villa was also very kind and welcoming.
A few drawbacks:
- It's a little isolated, and you have to walk or take a motorbike out to the main road. So you have to pre-arrange transportation everyday.
- Unless you go out of the neighborhood there are no really local food options.
But overall, my family and I really enjoyed our stay.

Bali is part of the largest island kingdom in the world, the State of Indonesia. Denpasar has been the capital of Bali since 1946 and was once the seat of the homonymous principality of Badung. The small village situated around the Pemecutan Raja Palace, soon developed into a bustling city. The city’s oldest Hindu temple dates from the fourteenth century and was established by the envoy of the Majapahit Empire. At the entrance to the Monkey Forest near the town of Ubud, the famous saint monkeys welcome those who come here. The cheeky little macaques are thought to be descendants of mythical monkey king, Hanoman. Gamelan music and Legong dance are part of Bali’s culture. The movement of the body, and especially the position of the head, the play of the eyes and various facial expressions, each form the traditional elements of the dance. A journey to the centre of the island, from Sebali to Keliki, is a great experience and one not to be missed. Uphill through small villages and lush greenery, past banana trees and paddy fields, typical Balinese country life. On the main island, in Kuta, are wonderfully spacious, white sandy beaches and the warm Indian Ocean, often with waves several metres high. Here, relaxation is the order of the day and the waves attract surfers from all over the world. Bali is truly the Island of the Gods, with fantastic scenery, fascinating culture and exclusive hotels.

Digital Nomad Life: Tour My Home in Ubud, Bali
Come and visit the home I'm renting in Ubud, Bali. Situated right in the heart of Ubud, just a few minutes from Yoga Barn and most of best restaurants in town, it COULD be great -- if not for the cacophony of roosters and cicadas.
This two-bedroom upper level home is really more of a one bedroom, unless you have a friend who doesn't mind sleeping without A/C and you don't mind having someone come into your living area to use the single bathroom that is ensuite to the master bedroom. So it's really like a big one-bedroom. I am paying 7 million IDR per month, which comes out to almost exactly $500USD. It includes A/C, TV, Water (with hot water), and cleaning 2X per week.
Generally you can find private home rentals between 6-14 million per month, or you can rent a room for as low as 3.5 million per month.
I recommend first renting a place on AirBnB for at least a week before you come and then use that as a jumping off point to explore longer term rentals.

Ubud Bali A Day In The Life | Indonesia Travel Vlog
In the video today we take you along for a day in the life. It's an average relaxing day for us in Ubud Bali with nothing too eventful happening. We had to work that evening so we only had the morning and afternoon to enjoy our day. We started with a fabulous vegetarian breakfast with Linh. We continued on by enjoying some much needed pampering at a local spa. We had massages, pedicures, and waxing. We then called the rest of our group and met at a local resort that allows non-guests to enjoy the pool if you buy food and/or drinks. I mean, we are so there! We had a wonderful relaxing day. We hope you enjoy it!

If you're not familiar with either area, Ubud is the region in the centre of Bali that is popular for Yoga, Spirituality and Meditation whereas Canggu is the new kid on the block. Canggu has amazing nightlife, trendy cafes and the beach but it does come with a few issues.

Taking the best moments of what I'm able to capture on video on our day to day life where we live in Denpasar Indonesia, and all of the surrounding, majestic Island of Bali Indonesia. Come along for the ride. In this episode, after a short view of our New Year celebration here in Denpasar, we take a single-day ride up to Ubud Bali, capturing the usual sights of Ubud while walking JL. Monkey Forrest Road and also give you an in depth look at traffic through the helmet cam on the ride home in 4K. Ends with a quick dinner ride in the neighborhood and then home to sleep after a long day.

Puri Saren Ubud or more popular name as a Bali Ubud Royal Palace is an Ubud Kingdom Palace with beautiful Balinese traditional houses as a residence of Ubud King. It is set in the center of Ubud Bali with traditional art market just in front of it and it is found by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel who has commanded from year 1800 - 1823. Ubud Royal Palace is an artistic cultural life center, while the traditional market is the symbol of local economics resident. The existence of Ubud Royal Palace as a palace is equipped by a Wantilan/auditorium that is a large building of meeting room and a banyan tree as shelter place at the daytime. The traditional market is the place of society economics and its existence is always border on palace as artistic cultural life center. It means that the both pole meeting is describing the dynamics of society and kingdom life.
