Todays Philippines vlog explores a small island known as Balicasag. The island itself can be explored in 45 minutes but we were here to explore the beautiful reef cliffs surrounding the island. Balicasag Island Hopping From Panglao - Philippines Marine Sanctuary
From Alona Beach I did an island hopping tour that began in Panglao, that took us to Balicasag Island and onto the Virgin Island. Balicasag Island is a marine sanctuary and divers paradise in Philippines. The boat ride is about 45 minutes there, then 25 minutes to the Virgin Island on the way back. The tour itself is around about 500 PHP when you go in a group. This island group is just south of Bohol island.

Snorkeling in Balicasag Marine Sanctuary - Bohol, Philippines!!!
The most amazing snorkeling experience in the Philippines was on our trip to Bohol Island. Bohol is one of the most popular destinations for tourists coming to the Philippines. This is also home to one of the greatest reefs in the Philippines: Balicasag Marine Sanctuary.
We took a snorkeling trip from Alona beach and spent a whole day on the marine park of Balicasag chasing turtles and a variety of colorful marine fish and corals.

A turtle takes us on a panoramic tour of divesites at Balicasag Island, Bohol, Philippines. Along the way, we encounter a signature school of Jackfish, an Orangutan Crab, a Scribbled Filefish, Trumpetfish, and a cute Juvenile Boxfish. We accidentally cross over the nesting area of a Titan Triggerfish and the result is predictable. Dove with Bohol Fun Divers based at Alona Beach, who come recommended. The soundtrack is particularly relevant as it makes references to sailing to Cebu. Videod in HD using a Lumix ZS3, edited with Muvee Reveal 8. Enjoy the ride!

Highlighs: So many Turtles that I lost count, Schooling Jacks, the soft coral gardens of Black Forest and the hard coral wonders of the Wall.
Dives Sites: Black Forest, Cathedral, Turtle Point, Sanctuary, and Divers Haven.
Other Critters: Beautiful Nudibranches, Shrimp, Crabs, and some very nice schools of fish.
