Thailand: Clean shooting! Gun-toting 12yo girl puts Calamity Jane to shame in Chiang Mai
12-year-old Salisa Lisa Wasuwat presented her impressive gunsmith skills at her father's business in Chiang Mai, Wednesday.
Lisa is so astute at disassembling, cleaning and assembling weapons that the local police force regularly seeks out her services. Her father, Prajak, said that thankfully she is only interested in how the guns work and not how to use them.
Among the weapons Lisa works on there are semiautomatic pistols, revolvers and pump 12 gauge shotguns.

Thai police have arrested two Australian men after a shooting incident in the seaside town of Phuket in which two German tourists were injured.
John Edward Cohen, 33, and Adam Lewis Shea, 26, were allegedly involved in a dispute with a Danish man over a motorbike at Patong Beach on Tuesday.
During the confrontation, Cohen allegedly fired a gun, accidentally wounding German tourists, Johann Baschenegger, 42, and Joseph Woerner, 71.
The two were taken to Patong hospital.
Cohen and Shea were arrested an hour after the shooting, according to local media.
Police gave permission for media to film CCTV footage, which was said to show the two Australian suspects entering a hotel lobby and showing a picture.
Two men, said to be the injured German victims, are then seen running into the reception area.

I will try a weapon at the practice range, a Kalashnikov, maybe a machine gun or a bazooka, I'm not sure. In France it is not possible to try these kinds of weapons so I'll enjoy trying it here.

It was great, it made a surprisingly big impression on me. The weapons are a lot more powerful than in the movies. It's a strange feeling. I've known about this weapon in the movies since I was young but it's the first time I've handled one. Everyone should come and try it - it's a stress reliever. It's an experience.

LEAD IN :
Cambodia's bloody civil war claimed the lives of an estimated 1.7 million people, and forcibly relocated millions of people from the cities to the countryside.
The legacy of the civil war lives on in the country's weaponry.
Tourists can fire a wide variety of vintage weapons at Phnom Penh's army shooting range - at a price.
STORYLINE:
Civil and strife has blighted Cambodia since the 1970's.
In 1975 the Communist Khmer Rouge took power, and carried out a Socialist purge of Cambodian society that led to the deaths of an estimated 1.7 million people.
The bloody period in history claimed the lives of people through political executions, starvation and forced labour.
Millions of people were displaced, and many intellectuals were punished and killed for their crimes.
Now the country is still grappling with its grim legacy.
Some of those guns from its bloody past are now a tourist attraction.
Tourists can pay money to fire vintage weapons, and bang of the AK-47 is a draw for some.
About 15 kilometres (9 miles) outside the capital, tourists can take a tuk-tuk to fire some fully automatic weaponry.
Just outside Phnom Penh, the shooting range is located on the operations base of the Airborne Brigade 911.
For Marot, the weapon of choice was the iconic Russian AK-47 assault rifle.

The Bangkok Gun District in Thailand
Wedged in between the streets of the busiest and biggest city in Thailand is the gun market district in Bangkok. Here you have dozens of stores that selling everything ranging from the cheapest Chinese tactical garbage to high-end side by side shotguns or semiautomatic race guns that Thais compete in IPSC and IDPA competitions with throughout the entire country. Although many of the stores are quite camera shy for some reason, we were able to get in touch with one of them that allowed us to film some of their wares that were on display. We looked at some of the handguns, shotguns, and precision rifles that were for sale at a very steep price for the average Thai citizen. In addition we were also able to combine this footage with actual competitions and shooting activities that we were able to join in on while in Thailand.

Thailand's Shooting Ranges
For this episode, we go to Northern Thailand where we take a look at some of the shooting ranges in Chiang Mai. Specifically, we were able to sit down some of the shooters, owners, and instructors at a range called Shooting Adventure Chiang Mai and Range 333 where we quizzed them on such topics of what firearms were popular, prices of guns in Thailand, what kind of shooting sports were practiced, and the sort of training that is available. Unlike the United States there is a strong shooting tourism industry in Thailand that supports tourists from all over Asia where their own countries laws make it impossible to own and even much less fire a firearm on a controlled range.
One of the bigger shooting sports in the region is the local division of IPSC which is extensively shot in Thailand. There is IDPA in the south, in addition to precision rifle matches very similar to the PRS competitions in the United States, also in the south.
For more information about the shooting ranges in these videos, please check out-
