Wakeboarding Through Bangkok’s Floating Markets with Dominik Gührs
Dominik Gührs wakeboards through Bangkok's waterways and floating markets.
Who doesn't know that problem: you quickly have to get from point A to point B, but the roads are clogged with traffic. Luckily, Dominik Gührs knows the city of Bangkok in Thailand like the back of his hand, which is why he can easily ignore the traffic, ditch the tuk tuk, jump on his Wakeboard, and use Bangkok's waterways and floating markets, in order to get to his final destination on time.
At fluege.de you can see more about the episode and discover flights for the next adventure:

Thailand Adventures Part 3: Bangkok
Our last stop of our Thailand Adventure :( We spent two nights in Bangkok mainly traveling by Tuk tuk to some of the tourist attractions until we realised how cheap taxis were! Rookie mistake.
If eating bugs is on your bucket list, it's really not that bad except for the frog - dont eat the frog!

Crispiest Chicken in Bangkok - Err Urban Rustic Thai
Listen to the sound factor on this super crispy chicken! Err Urban Rustic Thai is the sister restaurant to Michelin star kitchen, Bo.Lan in Bangkok. With it's Chinatown location right by the river, the mood of the histporic space is spot on. I always enjoy this restaurant when visiting Bangkok.

Bangkok Like You Have Never Seen it Before -- 15 Mile Morning Walk
Urban hiking on the streets of Bangkok, I walked around the city for over 5 hours covering a distance of some 15 miles. Most of this walk took place just in two neighborhoods, the Huai Khwang area and the Din Daeng area. Bangkok is so big that despite walking for so long I covered an extremely small portion of the city.
These areas are well of the beaten path of tourists, where you can see how Thai's live day to day. In fact I only saw one foreigner the whole time. The highlights of the walk was the Buddhist offering on a little back street, the monk ordainment party and the excellent traditional Thai restaurant I found.

Looking for an authentic and unique adventure? Co van Kessel bike tours and boat tours provides a refreshing alternative to the tired tourist experience. We do not battle the crowds at clichéd destinations promoted in guide books, but turn your attention to quaint local communities and charming excursions into the fascinating lifestyle and culture of real Thai people. Every day is different and every tour is a surprise as we focus not on destinations, but lose ourselves in the enchantment of the journey itself.
Co van Kessel, an innovative and adventurous Dutchman, pioneered bicycle tours in Bangkok more than 30 years ago. As a longtime resident and self-professed lover of Bangkok, he understood very well the picture of accelerated urban development (gridlocked traffic, concrete towers, and choking pollution) that has plagued the recent image of the city. He also had a hunch that this was not what Bangkok or Thailand was all about.
Making it his goal to re-discover Bangkok, Co spent thousands of hours on his mountain bike exploring the vast network of local streets, alleyways, footpaths and canals between the main urban thoroughfares. What he found, lurking behind the facade of modernization, were hidden worlds of peace and tranquility, a picture of “real” Thai life that has remained unchanged for countless decades; an identity of a city that is true to the Thai people, yet largely unknown to outsiders.
Whether it’s the colorful sights and smells of the local markets, the fascinating life of locals along the canals, or the surprising existence of bountiful green belts, Co discovered the essence of what makes Bangkok one of Asia’s most captivating cities. Since then, it has been his mission to share these discoveries with the rest of the world.
What we do
Our mission at Co van Kessel Bangkok Tours is to provide our guests with a singularly unique travel experience in Thailand. All our tours use Co’s extensive topographical knowledge of the greater Bangkok area as well as his keen eye for the interesting to take you where nobody else can or will.
We aim not to bore you with talk, but to immerse you in an experience where your individual fascinations emerge.
Bicycles, boats, and our feet become the tools we use to gain access to the previously inaccessible, behind-the-scenes lifestyle of the Thai. Here the roots of an ancient culture will become evident in a way you never could have imagined.

Bangkok Tuk Tuk ride - Fast public transport in Bangkok - Bangkok tourist attractions
Watch all our THAILAND TRAVEL VIDEOS, Link in comments section below. No visit to Bangkok can possibly be complete without at least one ride in a Tuk Tuk taxi. This video shows a short clip of our ride from Saphan Taksin Station (this is where you can catch a BTS Skytrain or one of the Chao Phraya River taxis) to Bangkok's Central Park Lumphini Park.
The Tuk Tuk is definitely one of Bangkok's most unique forms of public transport. Be sure to agree / bargain on / haggle a price before the journey starts. I have heard that a trip in the inner Bangkok City should not cost more than 150 Baht. Video is filmed with Canon Powershot SX210 IS Camera.
