FOOD CRAWL IN SAN SEBASTIAN / AROUND THE WORLD VLOG 011
In this video I try to channel my inner Mark Wiens. I have always been drawn to food and travel videos and TV shows. Unfortunately the backpacking lifestyle does not enable me to indulge in the cuisines of the cities I visit too deeply but as a result of saving money through couchsurfing I took full advantage of my time in one of the food capitals of the world. I had so much fun filming and editing up this video and was able to sample some amazing food. Hopefully in the future I will be able to bring you guys some more food videos. Let me know if you guys enjoyed the change.
Restaurant and Dish Breakdown:
Bar Azkena was not the greatest food I tried but the fish dish was decent. Overall I would say you can skip this restaurant.
Gandarias seemed very promising. Good well marked GF options and if it wasn't for an untimely vein in the Foi I would fully recommend this restaurant. The risotto was actually really good and one of the better things I ate all day.
Bar Sport is a place I only recommend the pork sish kebob. It is a value play so for some cheap food it might be worth it to stop by.
Bar Nestor: All I have to say is make sure you go here. Preferably with friends or family and share everything on the menu. The food is so good and so fresh and the atmosphere is amazing. The price although a little more pricey you definitely get your money's worth here which is hard to find in Europe.
La Vina: Make sure you go here for the cheesecake. It is a slice of heaven. The full slice I think runs about 5 euro so not cheap but the full slice is actually a decent size and like I said it is so creamy and good.
La Cocina Taberna: This is a little more upscale pinxtos bar so most of the options are pricey and the portions are smaller. The quality is very good and the suckling pig I ate was amazing. If not for the price and the small portion I would have given this place 5 stars. Food is amazing.
Bordi Berri: This was my favorite pinxtos bar in San Sebastian. I saved the best for last. While this place is also a little more upscale pinxtos bar, you get your money's worth here. The food is incredible and the portions are huge for pinxtos. There is a reason this restaurant is so popular with locals and tourists. I highly recommend the veal cheek because it was so tender and flavorful. The ribs were also really good. There were a few more dishes I wish I had sampled here but you guys can let me know when you go!!

A Pintxo or pincho is a small snack, typically eaten in bars in Northern Spain. Basically, make your way to bar grab a napkin & fill her up! Why Everyone Should Visit San Sebastian, Spain *vlog*
I got 3 things to say:
1. 24 is the new 70.
2. I still think about those waffles daily.
3. My videos would be 10x longer if I actually included all of the footage of other people’s dogs that I have.

The restaurant at the beginning of the video is in San Sebastian. It is called Bar Nestor! We highly recommend this place but get there when it opens! Seriously!
The second restaurant in Pamplona was called Cerveceria Shamrock. Its located right across from the AC Hotel , Marriot property. Ask for Anna, who was in the video. She is amazing. She made us feel at home! Thank you Anna! Miss you! Vale Vale

Tapas y bebidas que zumban
This place sums up the spirit and charm of “old town” San Sebastian, Donostia. The staff are vibrant, happy, friendly and charming. They are very passionate about the place that they work in and the food and drinks that they serve. Everyone gets the welcome smile, and the atmosphere inside the bar is one of integration. Sitting with strangers and sharing experiences, hand signals and broken language of all sorts wins the day, the bar hums with excitement, the food satiates, the drinks ,all served with vigour add the buzz!
