Batam Ferry Terminal Walk Over to Mega Mall via Covered Linkway

We were in Batam Indonesia! After spending 3 nights at the Radisson Batam Golf and Convention centre, it was time to head home. Before the ferry ride, we had a good lunch at Wey Wey Seafood. Then we went to the ferry terminal, but it would be a while before our ferry was due to depart. Instead of waiting at the terminal itself (which was small and rather crowded), we discovered a covered walkway that brought us directly across the road into a large mall called Mega Mall. So we went across to check the mall out. It was cool! Many eateries, outlets, department store and even hypermarket. We didn't have much time so we just walked around a bit, before heading back to the ferry terminal.

Goodbye Batam, we had a fun time in Batam, Indonesia!

Kami berada di Batam Indonesia! Setelah menghabiskan 3 malam di pusat Golf dan Konvensi Radisson Batam, tiba saatnya untuk pulang. Sebelum naik feri, kami makan siang yang enak di Wey Wey Seafood. Kemudian kami pergi ke terminal feri, tetapi akan butuh waktu sebelum feri kami akan berangkat. Alih-alih menunggu di terminal itu sendiri (yang kecil dan agak ramai), kami menemukan jalan setapak yang membawa kami langsung di seberang jalan ke mal besar bernama Mega Mall. Jadi kami pergi ke seberang untuk memeriksa mal. Itu keren! Banyak tempat makan, outlet, department store dan bahkan hypermarket. Kami tidak punya banyak waktu jadi kami hanya berjalan sedikit, sebelum kembali ke terminal feri.

Selamat tinggal Batam, kami bersenang-senang di Batam, Indonesia!

Population Although Malay culture is predominant in the area, population is culturally and ethnically diverse, coming from all over Indonesia as well as from overseas. The population as at December 2000 was 462,528 people, made up of 219,747 males, and 242,781 females. The annual population growth for the past decade has been considerably large, due to the active recruitment of labour by expanding industry.
