IJGA Las Vegas 2016
Footage of the 54 hole IJGA World Allstars golf championship held at Bear's Best in Las Vegas July 18-21. Dylan'd Mom graciously agreed to capture some of the golf, so please excuse some of the shakiness.
The course played approximately 6300 yards and the conditions were HOT and windy. Dylan shot even par (72-72-72) and finished T10 out of 69 players.
Other than one of the players caddy/Dad caught cheating (kicking the ball out from under a tree), the tournament was enjoyable. Tournament offcials did not see the act of cheating as a serious breach of etiquette (rule 33-7), an offense punishable by disqualification, and decided that replacing the ball and incurring a one stroke penalty was fair. Interesting how the rules committe could make such a huge mistake given the opportunity to teach juniors that cheating will not be tolerated.
Golden Nugget Hotel review in Las Vegas
Golden Nugget Hotel review in Las Vegas. It is a resort in downtown Las Vegas. There are a few restaurant to eat. If you are vegan there is Vegenation within 5 minutes walk. There is fremont street just next to Golden Nugget hotel. It is family friendly hotel and has a shark aquarium. Feeding shark costs $50 and this aquarium is open during summer only.
Hungry bears roam into Nevada towns
The extreme drought in Reno, Nevada, has not only dried up rivers, it has also depleted the natural food sources of bears, forcing them farther into urban communities to feed. Bears are bulking up for hibernation and need to eat up to 30,000 calories a day. Carter Evans reports.

Holiday Season in Las Vegas - The Best Time to Go
8 reasons why the holiday season is the best time of year to visit Las Vegas. People often ask me what the best time of year to travel to Las Vegas is… and it’s simple.. It’s during the November, December, January Holiday Season. First, the weather is the best. It's much cooler than in the Summer, but still has an average high temp of 65F / 18 C with an average low at night of 34F… so bring a jacket!
-- Cheapest hotel prices of the year
Best times to visit -- Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Week, Before New Years
Rooms that go for $400 regularly can be $100 during the holidays
-- The hotels are all decorated
Bellagio Conversatory
larger-than-life snow globe, a 42-foot-tall live tree, playful polar bears made of thousands of carnations, penguins and a ten-foot long train made from 1,200 red and white roses
Bellagio Fountain
holiday favorites like “Santa Baby” and “Carol of the Bells.”
The Linq Shopping Promenade has “snow”
-- Attractions are all open
Las Vegas basically doesn’t close… everything is open… all the time! The same can’t be said for many other travel destinations during the holidays…
On caveat -- while most of the swimming pools are open, the one category of attractions that typically are closed in the winter are the pool clubs
-- Holiday Buffets
What better way to have a festive meal with the family than to gorge yourself at a buffet? Best of all… there’s no clean-up!
-- Ice Skate on the Strip
Not kidding! The Cosmopolitan hotel has an annual tradition of putting an ice skating rink on it’s rooftop!
The Park MGM also puts up another Ice Skating Rink between the Park MGM and the NYNY hotel.
-- Pre Christmas Shopping
With a shopping mall in practically every hotel on the strip, you’ll find plenty of places to bring back gifts for your loved ones. Looking for a Rolex watch? You are in the right place! there are six certified Rolex dealers on the Strip alone!
-- New Years Eve
Ok… this won’t be cheap… because you and 300,000 other people will be visiting Vegas for New Years Eve.
The Strip closes to traffic and people fill the streets for America’s Party. On Fremont Street, there’s an admission fee ($35-$45) for the Downtown Countdown, but the crowd is smaller and three stages keep the bands playing all night. At midnight, the Strip rings in the New Year with its famous roof-top fireworks lighting up the sky for miles, and on Fremont Street, Viva Vision erupts with its own spectacular light show.
If you’re going to the strip, it closes to traffic at 6pm.. So make sure you are in walking distance by that time. The seven properties that usually participate in the annual event, from north to south, are the Stratosphere, The Venetian, Treasure Island, Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, ARIA and MGM Grand.

Desert Inn Golf Course Las Vegas Aerial View from Helicopter Tour Convention Center in Video Clip
Las Vegas Desert Inn Golf Course Aerial View from Helicopter Tour with Convention Center at end of Video Clip -- - Las Vegas. Pop. 591,536. State -- Nevada (NV). Currency -- US Dollar. Language -- English and Spanish. Time Zone (GMT minus 8 hours). Main Airports -- McCarran LAS. Average Temperatures -- 6°C (Jan), 33°C (Jul). Best time to go -- September to April -- avoids the hot summer months. Las Vegas is the undisputed home of USA gambling and is promoted as being the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' although is often referred to with the less glamorous titles -- Sin City and Vice City. Las Vegas was founded in 1905 and became a city in 1911. The growth of Las Vegas mushroomed during the construction of the nearby Hoover Dam in 1931 -- 1936, and the legalization of gambling by the state of Nevada. The city became a Mecca for the dam construction workers who flocked to the casinos and speakeasies in downtown Las Vegas. Further growth happened in the 1940s when the El Rancho Vegas resort and Flamingo Hotel opened on what was to become the Las Vegas Strip (The original El Rancho was destroyed by fire in 1960). The Strip comprises 4 miles (6.7 km) of Las Vegas Boulevard South It extends from the Stratosphere Hotel at the north end to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino at the south end. The Strip is the home to some of the largest casino, resort properties and hotels in the world, including -- The Mirage, Las Vegas Hilton, Sahara Hotel & Casino, Riviera, New Frontier, Wynn Las Vegas, Treasure Island, Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Imperial Palace, Caesar`s Palace, Bellagio, Bally's, Paris Hotel, Aladdin Resort & Casino, Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, New York New York Hotel, Tropicana Resort and Casino, Excalibur Hotel and Casino, Luxor, and Four Seasons Hotel. Apart from the Strip, downtown Las Vegas is also popular with visitors especially the Fremont Street Experience mall, which includes famous hotel casinos such as the Golden Nugget, and the Four Queens Hotel & Casino. Many visitors to Las Vegas understandably go to gamble. Gamblers must be 21 or over and a valid ID with proof of age should be carried. Beginners to gambling are advised to study the various games before participating and it is quite appropriate to ask the dealer the house rules of the game. A good tip is to start playing during the day when the tables are less crowded.

My camera was giving me problems all weekend long, so around the 6 minute mark in the video, I had to pull out my backup. At least I was able to use my usual external mic with it. So, sorry for the change in image quality.
