Benetka Road Covered Bridge
A quick video over, under and through Benetka Road Covered Bridge. Benetka is a 138-foot Town lattice with Arch bridge, Benetka was built about 1900 spanning the Ashtabula River. In 1985 a laminated arch 9-inches wide and 38-inches thick was added to the length of the bridge during renovations. The Covered Bridges of Ashtabula County Ohio Part 1
Harpersfield Bridge is a covered bridge spanning the Grand River in Harpersfield Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. This double-span Howe truss bridge, one of currently 16 drivable covered bridges in the county, is the third longest covered bridge in Ohio at 228 feet. A flood in 1913 washed away the land at the north end of the bridge, and the steel span was subsequently attached. The bridge features a walkway, added during its renovation in 1991-92. The bridge also features an Ashtabula County MetroPark at its north end, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The bridge’s WGCB number is 35-04-19, and it is located approximately 3.4 mi (5.4 km) south of Geneva.

1962 – Bypassed when State Route 534 was rerouted around the settlement of Harpersfield.
1991-92 – Bridge renovated.

The bridge's WGCB number is 35-04-12, and it is located approximately 3.4 mi (5.5 km) southwest of Conneaut, Ohio.
Middle Road Covered Bridge in Ashtabula County Ohio 6-16-15
Middle Road Bridge is a covered bridge spanning Conneaut Creek in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. The bridge, one of currently 16 drivable bridges in the county, is a single span Howe truss design. Built in 1868, it was reconstructed in 1984 with the help of three volunteers and four college students. The bridge’s WGCB number is 35-04-06, and it is located approximately 3.2 mi (5.1 km) south of downtown Conneaut. It is 136 feet (41.5 m) long.
Riverdale Road Covered Bridge in Ashtabula County Ohio 6-4-15
Riverdale Road Bridge is a covered bridge spanning the Grand River in Morgan Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio, United States. The bridge, one of currently 16 drivable bridges in Ashtabula county, is a single span Town truss design. During its renovation in 1981, the floor was rebuilt and glue-laminated wood girders were added. Previously, center steel bracing had been replaced under the bridge in 1945. In 1987, a new concrete abutment for additional support was added after the road at the east end of the bridge washed out. The bridge’s WGCB number is 35-04-22, and it is located approximately 1.1 mi (1.7 km) north-northwest of Rock Creek.
The Smolen-Gulf Bridge - Ashtabula County, Ohio
Spencer and I where told about this bridge and we are glad we went to check it out. The Smolen–Gulf Bridge is a covered bridge which carries State Road (Ashtabula County Road 25) across the Ashtabula River at the Plymouth and Ashtabula Township line in northern Ashtabula County, Ohio

Smolen Gulf Fly by
A quick fly-by of Ashtabula Ohio's Smolen Gulf Covered Bridge. The Smolen Gulf Covered Bridge is the longest covered bridge in the United States Spanning 613ft and capable of holding standard commercial Loads 93ft above the Ashtabula River. The bridge is surrounded by the Indian Trails Township Park with a beautiful overlook. For people that may be interested there are also geo caches in the area.
Ashtabula River Ohio - lack of rain makes for very shallow water 8-8-12
This is a comical look at the Ashtabula River...and it's lack of water due to the lack of rain the county has seen. The area is way under the normal rainfall amounts...but on the bright side, the mosquito population is a lot lower than it has been in years!

October 2010 and we headed out to the Ashtabula County, Ohio Covered Bridge Festival. We see 11 bridges today as well as the longest covered bridge in the U.S.
