SECRET SKYWALK IN BANGKOK CITY | Connecting Benjakitti Park To Lumpini Park, Bangkok, Thailand
There's a secret Skywalk in Bangkok City connecting Benjakitti Park to Lumpini Park that not many people know about.
The secret skywalk is about 1.5km long that directly connects 2 of Bangkok's biggest parks. The Benjakitti Park and the Lumpini Park.
You can find the start of the secret skywalk on Sukhumvit Soi 10 Alley, which is where I started my walk in the video. But you can find other entrances at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 4 Alley, or at the end of Duang Phithak Rd.
There are many interesting sights and scenery to explore on this peaceful 1.5km skywalk. Is crosses over canals, highways and even through housing areas of local residents, which was an incredible sight to see.
I only saw about 6 people in total on this 1.5km skywalk, I didn't understand why, because it was an amazing footbridge. I wasn't quite sure why not many people frequent this skywalk more often.
I went there around 1:00PM, so maybe people walk the bridge later on in the evening when the sun goes down.
I felt quite safe walking there alone during the day but I'm not quite sure how it is at night.
But I do highly recommend taking a stroll on this secret skywalk in Bangkok city. Which directly connects Benjakitti Park To Lumpini Park. Always take caution where ever you go of course.
The 1.5km skywalk will take you approx. 30 mins to walk, from end to end. It took me approx. 40 mins in total because I was walking slowly and I went to the wrong entrance of Lumpini Park.
I hope you get a chance to check this secret skywalk out.

Benjakitti Park (part 1) Bangkok Thailand
We use AirBnB almost exclusively when we travel. Its truly my top recommendation ( )
Here is the link to our condo complex at NOBLE REMIX:
As mentioned in this and other videos it is Super Convenient as it has a covered walkway directly from the BTS Thong Lo station. If you know anything about Bangkok, or southeast Asia in general, it rains. And, when its rains... Yep, you guessed it - it POURS! It had to walk (run?) about 50 feet.. in a suit.. and got drenched. Then, I was in a hotel conference room with air conditioning. As you might guess, this is certainly imperfect. For the most part the clothes dry out fairly quickly but its still annoying if you are going somewhere, other than back home and don't have the option of taking Off your wet clothes and having dry towels near by. Ha!
Here is some Noble Remix condo info:
NEXT: We take the BTS Skytrain to Asok station. Then an easy walk to Benjakitti Park (and YES, I am sadly, fully aware that I pronounce the park incorrectly... its NOT, Benjakki... its BENJAKITTI - hopefully you can ignore my ignorance and enjoy the scenery and discussion abut the part and the beauty of this place.
**some more info on Benjakitti Park:
Its truly one of the gems of Bangkok. I think the more I discover about Bangkok, the more I like it.
I still believe I am in tourist mode with a slight transition into part-time resident... VERY part time. But, I still feel like Gracie and I live a little bit closer to 'locals' on the tourism continuum :--)
Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for watching.

Benjakitti Park Bangkok - Silence in the City
Benjakitti Park Bangkok - Silence in the City
Location on Google Maps:
Benjakiti Park, a spec of green amongst Sukhumvit’s high-rise hotels and office blocks, is one of Bangkok’s most popular parks, offering a haven for joggers, cyclists and anyone in need of a quick escape from the big bad city.
The park is dominated by a sizeable lake, and the two separate lanes around the perimeter have been designed specifically for segregated cycling and jogging (which for many, is more like walking thanks to the unrelenting evening heat). The water’s edge is also nicely framed by some pretty, well-maintained plant life and colorful flowers adding to the tranquility.

Even though we are hosting the bi-weekly meetups in Bangkok, there will always be some people who can't make it along. This doesn't mean I won't make a special trip in, so when Jeremy bounced me a message, I took the opportunity to go back into Bangkok to hang out for the afternoon. He was in the Asok area and suggested we meet at Benjakitti Park which is conveniently located close to the BTS and the MRT lines. Today I chose to take the MRT given that both lines have a station at Bang Wa which is where I usually grab the BTS.
Benjakitti Park was developed from Tobacco pond area 200x800 meters, built by digging and reclamation. This park was part of the project replacement area from resolutions in the government of Prime Minister Anand Panyarachun. Name “Benjakitti” was given by Queen Sirikit during the opening. Benjakitti Park has a landmark symbol called “Pathumthani” near the pond. It was opened in 2004 (on land formally owned by the Tobacco Monopoly) to honour the 72nd birthday of Queen Sirikit.

I chose early retirement over working the 40 40 40 plan and now I'm living stress-free as an Aussie expat living in Thailand with my Thai girlfriend. Our Video Blog covers the typical things we find ourselves doing as we build our life together living in the suburbs of Bangkok. My fiancée is a post-op ladyboy and we have been together since 2009. I finally moved to Thailand in September 2016 because the 8 years of travelling to see her were taking its toll. Where to Relax in Sukhumvit - Benjasiri Park (Bangkok) #livelovethailand
Benjasiri Park is one of the best parks in downtown Bangkok and is very popular though out the day and early evening. Located in the Phrom Phong area of Sukhumvit you will find people jogging and practicing yoga, keep fit, volleyball, basketball, sepak takraw skateboarding and children playing on one of two separate playgrounds. Built in 1992, this is quite a compact Bangkok park but the space has been maximised. There is a central lake with grass and trees surrounding it, sports facilities towards the back end of the park and a running track on the periphery. Modern art sculptures are dotted around too. There are a couple of food and drinks kiosks selling ice creams, drinks and simple snacks. Benjasiri Park is also popular for relaxing on the grass with friends under the shade of a tree. It is easy to spot squirrels running between the branches too. In the central lake you will find many fish and turtles. Benjasiri Park is very easy to find, located at the foot of the BTS Skytrain at Phrom Phong. There is a large image of Queen Sirikit in gold at the entrance to the park.

This is a bit out of order depending upon the order with which you consume videos from Live My Ass Off ( In fact, I rarely do Live Streams. In fact, interestingly enough, the last time Gracie and I did a live stream on YouTube was when we were in Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River on one of the commuter boats as we headed up to check out the Grand Palace/Wat Po.
This day, we hopped on the BTS from our condo near On Nut and headed up to the Asoke station, then a quick walk down to Benjakitti Park. We'd been here few years prior and in fact, it was arguably a bit nicer as the weather had not taken its toll on the infrastructure.
BUT, Gratefully, Bangkok has allocated a significant amount of the necessary budget for upkeep. In this part of the world where the elements are quite intense (e.g. Intense Rain, Sun and Heat) the soil can wash away within hours so reconstruction is necessary.
That is what is happening at Benjakitti Park here in Bangkok.
On this day, I decided to go live on Facebook at about noon-ish in Bangkok so about 9pm Pacific time so 12 midnight on the East Coast so I wasn't expecting *any* viewers but figured I'd give it a shot. Turned out some long-time friends tuned in from *the other side of the world* so I figured I'd continue the 'cast.
This YouTube post is simply the edit of that.
Thanks for watching.

This was my 5th Trip to Thailand, and 1st visit to this awesome Park. This was my second best moment during my Trip.
Will cherish these moments in this Park forever! I don't make Vlogs for Views / Likes / Followers. I love myself too much to crave for those futile things ;)
HOW TO REACH:
One Entrance of this Park is on the MRT Queen Sirikir National Conventional Center side (around 300 m walk), and the other Entrance of this Park is on the MRT Sukhumvit / BTS Asok side (around 300 m walk). Very easy to find. I really wish to go there again!
