Travelling along the Benjamin Sheares Bridge-Singapore (July 2017)
Opened in 1981, the Benjamin Sheares Bridge is the longest bridge in Singapore, spanning 1.8 km, and the tallest, at 20 metres. It is named after Dr Benjamin Henry Sheares, the second president of the Republic, who died four months before the bridge was opened to the public. The bridge was once part of the East Coast Parkway, but has since been downgraded to an arterial road, Sheares Avenue. The cost of construction was S$177 million.
Built over reclaimed land by construction company Sato Kogyo, the bridge is made of pre-stressed concrete and links East Coast Parkway on the east coast to Marina Bay on the west coast.

of underground high-speed road and 0.33km of underground access road.
Singapore - Helix Bridge HD (2015)
The Helix Bridge, previously known as the Double Helix Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge linking Marina Centre with Marina South in the Marina Bay area in Singapore. It was officially opened on 24 April 2010 at 9 pm, however only half was opened due to ongoing construction at the Marina Bay Sands. It is located beside the Benjamin Sheares Bridge and is accompanied by a vehicular bridge, known as the Bayfront Bridge. The entire bridge was opened on 18 July 2010 to complete the entire walkway around Marina Bay.
