Der Bethmann Park ist auf den Bankier Johann Philipp Bethmann zurückzuführen und liegt mitten in der Stadt zwischen Berger Straße und Friedberger Straße. Durch Mauern etwas gegen den Lärm der hektischen Stadt und der großen Straßen geschützt, ist der kleine Park ein echtes Raumwunder. In jeder Ecke entdeckt man Neues. Jeder Blickwinkel offenbart neue Aspekte. Wer der Hektik der Stadt zumindest für kurze Zeit entfliehen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Auf der großen Wiese kann man Sonnenbaden, auf einer der vielen Bänke sitzen oder einfach nur zwischen den bunten Pflanzen schlendern. Sogar Schach kann man hier
spielen. Nirgendwo in Frankfurt kann man besser entschleunigen.
Der Beratungsgarten informiert an drei Vormittagen pro Woche
interessierte Bürger über Pflanzen und ihre Pflege, über
Pflanzenschädlinge und deren Bekämpfung.
Ein ganz kleiner Spielplatz bieten auch den Kleinsten etwas Abwechslung.
Wenn man glaubt alles entdeckt zu haben, dann eröffnet sich hinter einer weißen Mauer der chinesische Garten, eine ganz besondere Oase der Ruhe. Hier sind Pavillons mit geschwungenen Pagoden, filigrane Brücken, ein Wasserfall, ein mit Drachen verziertes Stufenportal – angelegt nach den klassischen Gestaltungsprinzipien der Harmonielehre Feng Shui. Der
erhaltene Baumbestand harmoniert sehr schön mit der fernöstlichen Bepflanzung. Dieser Garten trägt seinen Namen völlig zu Recht: „Garten des Himmlischen Friedens“. Er ist eine Einladung zur Meditation.
Der Garten wird über Nacht verschlossen.

Frankfurt's Legendary Grüneburg Park & Other Great Sights (Germany)
The Grüneburgpark is an enormous park in the Westend district of Frankfurt, whose name derives from the Green castle, which stood on the site in the 14th century. The Grüneburgpark was a very popular destination for many decades, in the former Frankfurt military community. Just about everyday that wasn't cold or rainy, you would see many US service members, dependents, and US civilians walking through the park, playing in the park, or just plain ol' hanging-out in this really inviting and comfortable location.
The Grüneburgpark was right next to the now closed Frankfurt American High School (closed in 1995), and of course, right next to the now deactivated, legendary, Abrams building -- which was a top military complex & USAREUR headquarters for the US military's commanding officers.

The Frankfurter Kreuz is an Autobahn interchange close to the airport, where the Bundesautobahn 3 (A3), Cologne to Würzburg, and the Bundesautobahn 5 (A5), Basel to Hannover, meet. Der Grüneburgpark geht auf ein weit außerhalb der Stadt gelegenes Landgut „die grüne Burg der Familien Bethmann-Metzler und Schwarzkopf zurück. 1837 erwarb die Familie Rothschild das Gut und ließ dort ein Schlösschen mit Park anlegen, das bis 1935 im Besitz der Familie blieb. Heinrich Siesmayer und sein Sohn Philipp gestalteten den Park zu einem großzügigen Landschaftspark mit wertvollem alten Baumbestand um. Reste der berühmten Rothschild'schen Gärtnerei haben sich in der ehemaligen Orangerie erhalten, die heute als griechisch-orthodoxe Kirche benutzt wird. Das Schlösschen wurde 1944 durch Bomben zerstört.n

Glinting with glass, steel and concrete skyscrapers, Frankfurt-on-the-Main (pronounced ‘mine’) is unlike any other German city. The focal point of a conurbation of 5.5 million inhabitants, ‘Mainhattan’ is a high-powered finance and business hub, home to one of the world’s largest stock exchanges and the gleaming headquarters of the European Central Bank, and famously hosts some of the world's most important trade fairs, attracting thousands of business travellers.

“A peaceful place to rest/In the silence one finds the strength for new thought”, this is what is written in calligraphy on a table at the water pavilion of the Chinese Garden (Chinesischer Garten) in Bethmann Park (Bethmannpark). And this exceptional place does indeed radiate a special calm and an East Asian aesthetic.
Surrounded by thick walls and shielded from the hectic pace of the city, the garden has been constructed according to the model of the Shiukou Gardens in Huizhou. The buildings are in the style of simple homes from the Anhui province. Over a period of only 5 months of construction, in 1989 a 4,000-square-metre “spring flower site” was created here with 22 landscape views, a marble bridge, various pavilions, a large pond and even a waterfall. The specialists and craftsmen who created this exotic garden world also came from China, as did most of the precious materials used in its construction.
The origin of Chinese garden culture can be found in Taoism. The requirement that wise hermits go to the cities to fulfil their obligations supposedly led to the idea of transferring landscapes to gardens.
In this way, the harmony of the world with a balanced relationship of the “seven parts” (earth, heaven, water, stone, buildings, animals and plants) is to be illustrated.
