Derek Deek Diedricksen, on his way to building a custom tree house for a client in Monroe, WA, swings by The Fremont Troll, a rebar, wire, and cement statue created in 1990 under the Aurora Bridge by a team of artisans known as The Jersey Devils. This 18' statue is a fun (AND FREE) tourist attraction (close to the Vladimir Lenin statue) in Fremont, WA- and pretty easy to find (it shows up as an icon on most Google Maps)

We all love movie theaters for the special feeling they give with fantastic special effects, complete sound immersion and the taste of popcorn. Would you still love them just as much if you found out their secrets movie theater owners don’t want you to know? We’re going to unveil 10 movie theater secrets.
In cinemas, many people can’t always keep their feelings to themselves and that’s normal. For example, a movie about cannibals called Raw appeared to be too hard to watch for a couple of visitors at The Toronto International Film Festival in 2016. The people fainted and one of them hit his head badly during the fall.
Digital devices can do everything on their own, and there are more automatic processes at a cinema than there were during the previous century.
Keep it in mind that in case there are some problems with a projector (the image is blurred, not centered, etc.), you’ll have to stand up and go notify a staff member in the lobby.

-Someone who loves to fight will always find a reason to do so. It could be that someone took someone else’s parking place, they talked on the phone during the movie, or someone is chomping too loudly.
-Thanks to security cameras, movie theater staff can spot and kick out couples that go too far on their “loveseats”.

Chinatown is a neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles, California that became a commercial center for Chinese and other Asian businesses in Central Los Angeles in 1938. The area includes restaurants, shops and art galleries but also has a residential neighborhood with a low-income, aging population of about 10,000 residents.
The original Chinatown developed in the late 19th century, but it was demolished to make room for Union Station, the city's major ground-transportation center. A separate commercial center, known as New Chinatown, opened for business in 1938.
There are two schools and a branch library in Chinatown, as well as a city park, a state park and a medical center and hospital. Many motion pictures have been filmed in the area.
Los Angeles, officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-most populous city (over 18 million) in the United States (after New York City), the most populous city in California. Situated in Southern California, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, sprawling metropolis, and as a major center of the American entertainment industry. Tickets for the film went on sale from January 11, 2015 in the United States.[85] According to ticket-selling site Fandango, Fifty Shades of Grey is the fastest selling R-rated title in the site's 15-year history, surpassing Sex and the City 2.[111] It also had the biggest first week of ticket sales on Fandango for a non-sequel film, surpassing 2012's The Hunger Games.[111][112] It is fourth overall on Fandango's list of top advance ticket sales behind The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 and The Hunger Games.[113] The demand prompted US theatre owners to add new showtimes.[111][114] Weeks before the film's release, several box office analysts suggested as much as a $60 million domestic four day opening[115][116][117][118][85] while Box Office Mojo reported that a $100 million opening could be possible.

Arizona and New Mexico
Two bordering states in these United States. Both are in the heart of the American Southwest.
Both are about the same size...New Mexico is just slightly bigger. However, Arizona has more than three times as many people, and it’s growing at a higher rate. In fact, Arizona is one of the fastest growing states in the country, while New Mexico is definitely not.
A big reason why is Phoenix, which is the fifth biggest city in the country. Phoenix attracts all the concerts, all the professional sports teams, all the best comedians, and all the best indie films in theaters that people think they’re cool for seeing.
Arizona also has Tucson, which has a larger metropolitan population than New Mexico’s biggest city, Alburquerque. Still, it has an amazing balloon festival called the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Plus Albuquerque is a way cooler name for a city. I just love saying it.
Both states are known for their deserts, for both are two of the driest states in the country. However, both have these little areas that get higher rainfall due to having a higher elevation.
Due to these elevation differences, both do have some climate variation. I mean, Arizona has the high plateau in the northeast part of the state, the mountainous region that runs from the northwest to southeast, and the low ranges and desert valleys down in the southwestern part. Its biggest desert is the Sonoran. The Chihuahuan Desert is the big one in New Mexico, and it even creeps into Arizona. New Mexico also has the Rocky Mountains in the north, the Great Plains in the east, and basically high plateau throughout the rest of the state. Where the elevation is high, they also tend to get four seasons. Otherwise, folks have been moving to both states for decades due to their mild winters and generally beautiful weather. Or at least snowbirds just head down there for the winter.

Koreatown is a neighborhood in Central Los Angeles, California. It is the most densely populated district by population in Los Angeles County, with some 120,000 residents in 2.7 square miles. Koreans began immigrating in larger numbers in the 1960s and found housing in the Mid-Wilshire area. Many opened businesses as they found rent and tolerance towards the growing Korean population. Many of the historic Art deco buildings with terra cotta facades have been preserved because the buildings remained economically viable for the new businesses.
Los Angeles, officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-most populous city (over 18 million) in the United States (after New York City), the most populous city in California. Situated in Southern California, Los Angeles is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, sprawling metropolis, and as a major center of the American entertainment industry. Los Angeles lies in a large coastal basin surrounded on three sides by mountains reaching up to and over 10,000 feet.

BRITISH PATHÉ'S STORY Before television, people came to movie theatres to watch the news. British Pathé was at the forefront of cinematic journalism, blending information with entertainment to popular effect. Over the course of a century, it documented everything from major armed conflicts and seismic political crises to the curious hobbies and eccentric lives of ordinary people. If it happened, British Pathé filmed it.
Now considered to be the finest newsreel archive in the world, British Pathé is a treasure trove of 85,000 films unrivalled in their historical and cultural significance.
British Pathé also represents the Reuters historical collection, which includes more than 136,000 items from the news agencies Gaumont Graphic (1910-1932), Empire News Bulletin (1926-1930), British Paramount (1931-1957), and Gaumont British (1934-1959), as well as Visnews content from 1957 to the end of 1984. All footage can be viewed on the British Pathé website.
