Cycling Through Central Park In New York
Join me as I hire a bike and cycle through the stunning Central Park in New York City. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with 40 million visitors in 2013, and one of the most filmed locations in the world. The park itself covers an area of 843 acres making it the fifth largest park in New York City.
In this video I cycle over 6 miles through the park along with stopping off at some of famous locations along the way. This includes the John Lennon Memorial in Strawberry Fields and the incredible Alice In Wonderland statue.
As mentioned in the video, here's a link to the bike rental shop I used just a short 5 minute walk away from Central Park -

Central Park Tour (New York)
Before heading home we took a tour of the famous Central Park in the heart of Manhattan on a 1 hrs bicycle tour. It was fast and convenient, however, the tour was slightly quicker and didn't have time to see everything. Would not recommend for future tourist to take the bike tour. We only got chance to visit the Baltom, Bethesda Fountain, and Minton Tile Ceiling at Bethesda Terrace and many mores.
Info: Central Park is an urban park in Manhattan, New York City. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with 40 million visitors in 2013, and one of the most filmed locations in the world.

NYC Biking - Central Park
On May 27th, 2013 my friend and I decided to take a bike ride through Manhattan, New York. I decided to wear a camera on my helmet so that I can record the beautiful ride, and these are the results! I decided to speed it up 2 times to make the film shorter. Enjoy!

A DAY AT THE BIG APPLE'S CENTRAL PARK IN NEW YORK, NEW YORK
It was a wonderful, cool, and sunny Saturday, on April 23, 2016. The Pepper Bird Magazine's Africa Teach-In Television Show's Roaming Camera was prowling the Big Apple Community in search community news, events, and/or activities to feature in a future television show.. Fortunately, The Pepper Bird Magazine has friends and supporters across the United States who often offer positive and helpful suggestion to our staff; and one of such suggestions was to hire a Pedi-dirver or horse driven buggy from around Time Square in Manhattan to take us sightseeing or just riding around the city. Heeding their suggestion, our staff were also fortunate to hire Pedi-driver and the only Gold Star Central Park Tour Guide, Moussa Fall (From Senegal, West Africa) for the job. Moussa Fall proved to be an excellent tour guide, who allowed us to record his presentation, and our rewarding tour experience, during our ride through NYC's Central Park. We extend sincere thanks and appreciation to Moussa Fall for his contribution to fulfill the continued mission and objective The Pepper Bird Magazine's Africa Teach-In Television Show to educate other around the world and in Rhode Island about the African and African American people, communities, and cultures,

Bike Sharing Is Booming In U.S. Cities
Despite some financial and legal challenges, bike-sharing programs are rolling out in cities throughout North America.
Locals and visitors in Minneapolis, New York, Washington and about 30 other North American cities can now buy daily, weekly or annual program memberships or pay hourly fees to check out a bike to ride around town.
Cities such as Tampa; San Diego; Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, British Columbia, will soon be launching programs.
Seattle is the latest city to announce that it is joining the bike-share bandwagon, with a start date in September for Pronto Emerald City Cycle Share, which will kick off with 50 docking stations around town for 500 blue and green bikes.

Bike Ride Through Central Park - Sail the Park - Times Square - New York City, New York
On our first day in New York City we took a bike tour of Central Park! This was a great way to see the park with our kids, and get a history of the area. We explored Central Park's pond, Gapstow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace and fountain, saw rowers on Central Park's lake, Belvedere Castle, Turtle Pond, and more! There is also a small amusement park and zoo in Central Park. After our bike tour and a slice of New York style pizza, we headed back in to the park to let the kids race sailboats around the pond with Sail the Park. It was a fabulous day and we walked an all time record number of steps!

Walking up 6th Avenue, down 5th, we will take a look at Madison, Park Avenue – a grand boulevard stroll with many urban highlights, like ice skating at Rockefeller Center, and the tall, huge office buildings of that complex. We're starting at Bryant Park and walking north, then south, then north again through the big Avenues of Manhattan.

Find someplace to eat, have a walk through Grand Central and admire the modern architecture of Midtown, and be amazed by some huge public artworks.
Midtown has a tremendous density of places, people, attractions and landmarks which await your discovery and the best way to experience it of course is on foot. You'll never run out of interesting sites. And while you're strolling along, enamored by the famous avenues, don't just walk past the side streets. They have got some fascinating things to check out such as West 46th Street, packed with restaurants, bars and stores. You'll get souvenirs cheaper than at Times Square.
Fifth Avenue's commercial heartland is one of the world's great urban vistas, always packed with pedestrians and lined with exclusive department stores and boutiques, too numerous to fully mention.
Continuing back down Fifth we turn on 42nd Street, to reach Grand Central Terminal, one of the great railway stations of the world and perhaps New York's most famous interior space.
We are plunging into a very worthwhile twenty blocks which can be nicely enjoyed along Madison Avenue with serious window-shopping, people watching and looking up at the buildings peaks. The shops and sights along the way will keep you thoroughly entertained.
You've heard about the New York minute? It's like a split second in which a lot of things get done. New York is quick. In fact, when you're walking, be sure not to take up the entire sidewalk because you're going to be blocking some speeding New Yorker coming up behind you.
We reach the Upper Eastside, with that rarefied atmosphere of the blueblood territory. The multimillion mansions and the nice side streets. Be sure to have a look as you walk along Madison and the other avenues down the side streets and see where the superrich live.
Lexington is one of the most interesting of New York avenues. It still retains a lot of its earlier character and quality, not quite so yuppiefied and gentrified as the other avenues that we been walking on, all of what you been lovely, but Lexington is especially nitty-gritty and a fine place to end our walking tour of New York's grand avenues.

LA Angel's Tent City: The New Face of Homelessness
We are in a homelessness CRISIS and the faces of the homeless may surprise you.
Help us document and support the new faces of homelessness and those at need in an effort to shed more light and awareness on this growing issue.
Tent cities are popping up all over America at rapid speeds (The National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty announced that research showed a 1,342% increase in homeless encampments reported between 2007 and 2017).
I and my producing partner Mitch Koss got to check out the controversial Los Angeles Angel's Tent City located in Anaheim, California where more than 1,000 people are said to call this area home. Within minutes, we met a 34 year old college educated single Mom born and raised in Orange County, aka The OC, who is now 6 months in to living in her tent. She let us film inside her tent so we could show you this dangerous living environment. Also, I get tempted to buy a bicycle from Mike's Bikes, another locally born and raised OC native millennial now 3 years into living in tent city. He lives in a sub camp with his brother a contractor short on jobs and his fiancee who works full time in a local store.
Perhaps the reason why California, New York, Florida and Washington state account for so many homeless people is that homelessness is no longer simply the result of mental illness and / or addiction -- which it mainly was starting in the '80s when the mental ill were de-institutionalized, that is, tossed onto the streets, so the public didn't have to pay for their care.
Today homelessness is looking more and more like the result of income inequality, and the rising unaffordability it brings.
For example, the state of California has the world's 6th largest economy, which means there's a lot of accumulated wealth here. But last fall, the US Census Bureau said that when cost-of-living is factored in, California has the highest poverty rate in the nation, nearly 1 in 5 people... And nearly 1 in 8 residents of the US living in California:
Your financial support is SO APPRECIATED. My vision is to give these forgotten / ignored neighbors a voice, a platform, and an opportunity to succeed.
PLEASE SHARE.
THANK YOU.
