Black Rock Mountains Georgia - Overnight Camping
Black Rock Mountain State Park is a 1,743 acre Georgia state park located west of Mountain City in Rabun County, Georgia. It is named after its sheer cliffs of dark-colored biotite gneiss in Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains.Located astride the Eastern Continental Divide at an elevation of 3,640 feet (1,109 m), the park provides many scenic overlooks and 80 mile (130 km) vistas of the southern Appalachian Mountains. On a clear day, four states are visible: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. In addition to Black Rock Mountain itself, the park includes four other peaks over 3,000 feet (910 m) in elevation, making it the highest state park in Georgia.

Mountain View Campground - Fall Colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains
Available to watch in 4K
Yoly and I head up to Hiawassee, Georgia to spend a night nestled high in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We stay at one of the best Passport America parks we've ever run across. Full hook-ups, cable TV and the fastest internet (by far) than we've ever seen in traveling 48 states. The owners Mike & Damien were super cool and Damien brought out his Yuneec Typhoon H to fly alongside my Phantom 3 Advanced. I got some awesome shots of the foliage from ground level and from the sky. Ended up being the longest video I've ever produced for YouTube but when the footage is that good you have to use it all :-) Mountain View Campground is about 4 or 5 miles east of the town of Hiawassee and Lake Chatuge. It is close to all kinds of natural wonders .... waterfalls, hiking trails, scenic lookouts, zipline and kayaking adventures as well as close proximity to good restaurants. We can't wait to go back -)
The Real Story of ‘Murder Mountain’
A scenic stretch of northern California wilderness is where 60 percent of marijuana is grown in the United States, and it's known as “Murder Mountain.” It’s not the climate or the soil that draws farmers to the area but the isolation. Humboldt County also has the highest rate of missing persons cases in the state, which is how it has become ground zero for danger in the marijuana industry. One grower says it's like the Wild West.

The 20 Best Mountain Towns in America
Ouray, Colorado
Believe it or not, more horses than people lived in this former mining town at the end of the 19th century. Today, Ouray is home to around 1,000 residents and a sizable population of tourists. They can often be found cruising down Black Bear Road, chilling out at the world's first ice climbing park, or frolicking on Main Street, a National Historic District chock-full of old buildings. Perhaps the most endearing of Ouray's attractions is its scenic setting in the San Juan Mountains, which has earned the town its nickname, Switzerland of America.

Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster on-ride HD POV @60fps
Skip forward to 3:24 if you only want to watch the downhill portion of the ride..
At 2500 feet in length, this Wiegand alpine coaster is the shortest of the four alpine coasters in the area but still a very fun ride and well worth trying out. This video was filmed at full speed throughout the ride.
The Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster is located near Pigeon Forge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Also called mountain coasters, these gravity-operated rides installed on a hill or mountain utilizes a track made of stainless steel tubes. The sleds are designed to not come off of the track during the ride and riders control their speed by applying or releasing brakes connected to levers on each side of the sled.

Rock City Gardens in Georgia will amaze you. Located atop Lookout Mountain just 6 miles from downtown Chattanooga, Rock City is a true marvel of nature featuring massive ancient rock formations, gardens with over 400 native plant species, and breathtaking See 7 States panoramic views. Rock City Tennessee address1400 Patten Rd, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750
Take an unforgettable journey along the Enchanted Trail where each step reveals natural beauty and wonders along the woodland path. Experience the magic of Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village, visit one of our regional gift shops and dine at the Big Rock Grill. Rock City is splendid year-round - Each season there's a new reason to visit! Because of Rock City's closeness to Chattanooga and ONLY A FEW MILES UP the road FROM RUBY FALLS which is in Tennessee, it is frequently believed to be in Tennessee. The tour of Rock City begins in the aptly named Garden's Gateway on the far side of the Rock City gift shop. An ADA-accessible entrance is down the hall to the right of the Gateway. The Grand Corridor is an excellent way to acclimatized your group to the rigors of walking in Rock City. The pathway occasionally narrows and there are some steps, but face it, if you have a problem here, bail out and take the ADA accessible (green) trail. At the Needle's Eye the trail narrows significantly, and walking sideways may be required, before it opens into Deer Park. Goblins' Underpass is a reference to Fairyland, later on trail. On the left after Goblins Underpass a set of rock steps takes visitors up to Legacy Lane. This is a section of the ADA accessible trail that leads to the 1932 Rock City entrance. It can also be used to get to the Birds of Prey show.
A choice presents itself before you enter Rock City's most scenic area. For those free-spirits willing to throw caution to the wind, take the Swingalong Bridge, a solidly built swinging bridge with an excellent view of the Tennessee River valley on clear days. For those who want to keep a little earth under their feet choose the Stone Bridge, crafted from solid rock with an excellent view of the swinging bridge.
Across the bridge lies was is collectively known as Seven States Plaza, featuring what is one of the best-known scenic views in the world. Peering into Georgia's Ridge and Valley section featuring long mountains (like Taylor's Ridge) separated by well-defined valleys. Within the plaza is the See Seven States marker showing the approximate directions of the states. On a clear day (only about 10% are clear enough in the summer), a knowing eye can spot the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Cohutta Mountains and Rich Mountain in the southern Appalachian province.
Added to the plaza in 1991, the Seven States Flag Court has additional scenic views backed by the flags of each of the seven states. The following year the Cliff Terrace was added with food, a movie on Rock City, and amenities. In 2005 a pavilion was added to the plaza so Rock City could host larger events. Leaving the plaza the trail makes a dramatic drop into Fat Man's Squeeze before returning to the area near Seven States Plaza. Here is a dramatic view of some man-made falls and additional scenic views into Georgia's Valley and Ridge area. Continuing on, the 1000-ton Balanced Rock is the final natural attraction in Rock City. Watch for a shortcut shortly after Balanced Rock if you do not wish to see Fairyland Cavern. Frieda Carter loved the children's stories from her native Germany and created Fairyland Cavern as an homage to these tales in 1947. Garnet hired Atlanta sculptor Jesse Sanders to replicate the images of Frieda's childhood. Sanders first had to learn how to work with the relatively new concept of black light, which would allow the cavern to remain dark but light up the statues. In 1964 Sanders completed Mother Goose Village, based on the characters in various nursery rhymes.

Contemporary extension of the Hunter Museum of American Art
As the birthplace of the tow truck, Chattanooga is the home of the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum.[106] Another transportation icon, the passenger train, can be found at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, called TVRM by locals, which is the largest operating historic railroad in the South. Chattanooga is home to the Hunter Museum of American Art. Other notable museums include the Chattanooga History Center, the National Medal of Honor Museum, the Houston Museum, the Chattanooga African American Museum, and the Creative Discovery Museum.[107][108][109][110][111]
Arts and literature
Chattanooga has a wide range of performing arts in different venues. Chattanooga's historic Tivoli Theatre, dating from 1921 and one of the first public air-conditioned buildings in the United States, is home to the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera (CSO), which became the first merged symphony and opera company in the United States in 1985. The CSO performs under the baton of Kayoko Dan.[112] The Chattanooga Theatre Centre offers 15 productions each year in three separate theater programs: the Mainstage, the Circle Theater, and the Youth Theater.[113][114] Another popular performance venue is Memorial Auditorium.
Chattanooga hosts several writing conferences, including the Conference on Southern Literature and the Festival of Writers, both sponsored by the Arts & Education Council of Chattanooga.[115][116][117]
Attractions
Chattanooga touts many attractions, including the Tennessee Aquarium, caverns, and new waterfront attractions along and across the Tennessee River. In the downtown area is the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel, housed in the renovated Terminal Station. Also downtown are the Creative Discovery Museum, a hands-on children's museum dedicated to science, art, and music; an IMAX 3D Theatre, and the newly expanded Hunter Museum of American Art. The Tennessee Riverwalk, an approximately 13-mile-long (21 km) trail running alongside the river, is another attraction for both tourists and residents alike.
Across the river from downtown is the North Shore district, roughly bounded by the Olgiati Bridge to the west and Veterans Bridge to the east. The newly renovated area draws locals and tourists to locally owned independent boutique stores and restaurants, plus attractions along the Chattanooga Riverpark system, including Coolidge Park and Renaissance Park.[118][119]
The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park is located a short distance from the downtown area.
Parks and natural scenic areas provide other attractions. The red-and-black painted See Rock City barns along highways in the Southeast are remnants of a now-classic Americana tourism campaign to attract visitors to the Rock City tourist attraction in nearby Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The mountain is also the site of Ruby Falls and Craven's House.[120] The Lookout Mountain Incline Railway is a steep funicular railway that rises from the St. Elmo Historic District to the top of the mountain, where passengers can visit the National Park Service's Point Park and the Battles for Chattanooga Museum.[121] Formerly known as Confederama, the museum includes a diorama that details the Battle of Chattanooga. From the military park, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Moccasin Bend and the Chattanooga skyline from the mountain's famous point or from vantage points along the well-marked trail system.[122]
The Heritage park is a park that lies in East Brainerd. Heritage park has a bocce ball court, a playground complete with swings, and a walking pavement. The park also features an off-leash dog park which is operated by the Friends of East Brainerd, the City of Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department, McKamey Animal Center and the Goodwill Assistance Dog Academy.
Near Chattanooga, the Raccoon Mountain Reservoir, Raccoon Mountain Caverns, and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Botanical Garden boast a number of outdoor and family fun opportunities. Other arboretums include Bonny Oaks Arboretum, Cherokee Arboretum at Audubon Acres, and Cherokee Trail Arboretum. The Ocoee River, host to a number of events at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, features rafting, kayaking, camping, and hiking. Just outside Chattanooga is the Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park. The Cumberland Trail begins in Signal Mountain, just outside Chattanooga.

Fall Season Mountain Drive Into Helen, GA
Leaving our cabin in Sautee Nacoochee from the south of Helen Georgia and driving Unicoi Turnpike ( 75 ) north into downtown Helen, GA., driving on South Main Street to North Main Street through town. This was filmed the last week of October 2015 during Oktoberfest
Helen is a city in White County, Georgia, United States, along the Chattahoochee River. The population was 430 at the 2000 census
Formerly a logging town that was in decline, the city resurrected itself by becoming a replica of a Bavarian alpine town, in the Appalachians instead of the Alps. This design is mandated through zoning first adopted in 1969, so that the classic south-German style is present on every building, even on the small number of national franchisees present (such as Huddle House and Wendy's).
Because of this, tourism is the main industry in Helen, catering mostly to weekend visitors from the Atlanta area and also motorcyclists who enjoy riding the beautiful roads of Helen and its surrounding areas during all seasons. Helen is extremely crowded in late October, when autumn leaves typically peak. It also hosts its own Oktoberfest during September, October and November. There are many events and festivals throughout the year. One of the most well-known is Southern Worthersee, which is a stateside Volkswagen and Audi event that pays tribute to the Worthersee Tour in Austria with attendance of approximately 20,000 people. Also the annual hot-air balloon race held the first weekend in June.
The main road through town is north/south Georgia 75. The Helen stream gauge (HDCG1) is located on its bridge over the Chattahoochee in the middle of downtown. A parallel route to the west is labeled Georgia 75 Alt to identify it as a bypass route around the town and its massive traffic jams in the autumn and on some weekends.
Unicoi State Park and Lodge, spanning 1,050 acres, is located immediately northeast of Helen on Georgia 356. The park encompasses Unicoi Lake, a 53-acre freshwater lake, offering outdoor activities for all seasons. Among them are a swimming beach, trout streams, wheelchair-accessible fishing docks, seasonal canoe, kayak and paddle boat rentals, seven picnic shelters with charcoal grills, three playgrounds for children, many spots for birding, 7.5 miles of hiking within the park (with adjacent trails in the Chattahoochee National Forest), 8 miles of mountain biking trails within the park, and plenty of places to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and park. Unicoi State Park also offers lodging in several forms. Access to Anna Ruby Falls, part of the Chattahoochee National Forest, is located through the park.
In 1975, DOCUMERICA photographer Al Stephenson documented the life, recreation, and economy of the Helen area before and during the construction of Alpine Helen.

Cummins Falls State Park TN - EPIC TRAILS #tennessee #hike
#hike #Tennessee #TriStarAdventure #GoPro #nosmallcreator
We decided to take an adventure day and hike towards Cummins Falls State Park, which is 2 hours and 10 minutes from Clarksville (where I live at). The beginning of the trail was amazing. As soon as you arrive to the river part it gets exciting. We hiked thru the rocks and it was hell.
When we got to the falls O.M.G. it's beautiful..... breathtaking. The wife being 11 weeks pregnant and my 5 year old did the hike back and forth (I kind of mentioned it a LOT). The hike back was super easy, we crossed thru the river and it saved us a bunch of time.
An amazing journey and an epic adventure,
Would like to thank Tennessee State Parks for keeping up with these beautiful places. Shirts that we wore are from TriStar Adventure. Filmed completely on GoPro Hero7 Black. The shots taken were with Canon 7D and Canon 60D.
