Blaine Washington And Peace Arch Border Crossing Park At US / Canadian Border - Washington State

Blaine Washington is known as America's Peace Arch City best known for its two border crossing. Blaine's marina and waterfront offer spectacular views of the bay and White Rock British Columbia. No visit to Blaine Wa is complete without a stop at the Peace Arch Park where you can stroll the sculpture gardens and experience the thrill of stepping through the great Peace Arch Gate. You can step across from the U.S. and Canada to explore the gardens on the other side of the gate, which ever direction you are coming from, but to cross the rest of the way into the other country requires a current passport or other accepted Identification and proof of citizenship.

Vlog Blaine, WA is a Large Fishing Town

I was a little surprised at all the boats they have. I didn't expect so much business in the way of sailing the sea. But the area does have a lot of islands. It only makes sense they will find a way to make they most use of the islands. From what I understand for travel, some of the roads require a ferry to keep you on your path. I guess they found a ferry to be more economical than a bridge.

The birds are a little larger than I expected. They must eat heartily in Blaine. I have seen clam shells smashed all over roads for many blocks. It seems that every block has some remnants of dead clams. Apparently, the seagulls wait until low tide where it's easy to grab the clams from the shallow water.

I have seen clams smashed all over the city. I think the seagulls prefer the roads for their harder surface. The seagulls have to smash the clash to get to their meat.

Currently this area has red tide conditions. This means the clams are not safe to eat. The Chinese won't purchase the local clams here which is affecting business. Red tide is a harmful algae bloom. Red tide can claim a lot of lives in the seas.

Downtown Bellingham Wa Things To Do - One Of The Healthiest Cities In Western Washington

Subdued Excitement In Downtown Bellingham Washington. Downtown Bellingham WA has many restaurants, clubs and bars to keep you entertained or at least distracted day and night. Many club venues have live music at night and on weekends.
The Downtown area near Bellingham's waterfront has an upscale urban village look and feel that has been intentionally fostered to help local businesses compete with other larger shopping corridors like Guide Meridian Ave. and Bellis Fair Mall.

Over the last decade there have been many new high rise condominiums built near downtown giving the area hundreds of residents happy to stroll the streets and frequent downtown businesses.
Night life in Downtown Bellingham is surprisingly lively and diverse perhaps due to Bellingham's College Town status--- Bellingham is home to Western Washington University.
If you're looking for things to do in Downtown Bellingham you might want to consider checking out are Museums including the SPARK museum, home to the awesome Megazapper Tesla Coil.
Bellingham's waterfront is also a popular staging area for vising the San Juan Islands. Along the downtown waterfront you will find whale watching tour operators and charter companies.

Seattle to Blaine | December 2018

Quick trip to Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, WA from Seattle using I-405 and I-90 North. The weather was crazy with about 60 miles of rainfall and then beautiful Blaine, WA.

CANADA USA BORDER CROSSING BY CAR | BLUE WATER BRIDGE | ROAD TRIP

Border Crossing between Canada and USA through Blue Water Bridge (Sarnia - Port Huron).

This is our normal routine as we been crossing this border for more than a year every week by car.

This was on Sunday around 11am with few vehicles. Sometimes it took us 45 mins to hours to cross especially long weekends and peak hours.

Bellingham Washington Waterfalls Indlucing Whirlpool Falls In Whatcom Falls City Park

Whirlpool Waterfalls In Bellingham Washington Is One Of Four Major Waterfalls In Bellingham's Whatcom Falls Park just east of Downtown Bellingham. The four main falls are (Whatcom Falls, Whirlpool Falls, Middle/Pixie Falls, Lower Whatcom Falls)

Whirlpool Falls Is the second major Waterfall on Whatcom Creek as water draining from Lake Whatcom makes its way down to downtown Bellingham and enters Puget sound.
