▶︎ Shady Wooded Campsite a short walk to the dunes and Beach
This is a nice well maintained campground. It's situated in a wooded area so there is a lot of shade on hot days and its inland enough that it's blocked from the wind.
The bathrooms have flush toilets and are well maintained. Each site has a food lockbox and use it because the raccoons are fierce! We had our cooler on the picnic table and they knocked it over and tore apart and ate all our food. Lock your cooler in your car.
The beach and dunes are a trail or a road walk from the campground. Dogs aren't allowed on the dunes but, they can be on the trail and beach.

Wrights Beach Campground | Bodega Bay, CA
Wright’s Beach Campground is a California State Park for camping near Bodega Bay and Jenner. This campground video shows on of the best California beaches that you can get outside of a California West Coast RV park. It’s close to Bodega Dunes Campground and Doran Beach camping in Northern California. The camp sites are near the beach and it is some of the best camping in Sonoma County and California State beach camping. You can also take the Kortum trail to Goat Rock beach. If you RV in California, you’ll love this West Coast RV campground. This is definitely one of the best California beaches that has a campground since the campsites are near the beach.

Training for flying in the Himalayas sometimes takes youth sea level! Here's a quick training flight with the Matrix at Bodega Head, California. What a difference the lower altitude made. So much more flight time than even in Colorado. I knew this would feel luxurious compared to 17,500+ feet in Nepal.

Bodega Bay Dunes Camping and Fishing during the July 4th Weekend
Camped at the Bodega Dunes Campground during the July 4th 2017 weekend. Explored the [picturesque North Central California Coast starting from Tomales Bay all the way up to the Point Arena Light House.

Turns out the fish inside the perch were its babies.

I had some technical issues that I hope I have ironed out with the Osmo; so apologies on not getting more handheld audio/video. ▶︎ Beautiful but freezing!
I absolutely fell in love with the campground that’s nestled in the sand dunes surrounded by the most gorgeous beaches. We didn’t have a reservation and just showed up and didn’t make the best choice with our campsite because it was shady which looked stunning but we were absolutely frozen the entire time! I can’t wait to go back this summer!

Sonoma Coast State Park is made up of sections that are found along 17 miles of coastline that extends from Bodega Point north to Vista Point, which is just a few miles north of the town of Jenner. Arched Rock Beach, Marshall Gulch, Blind Beach, Goat Rock and other unnamed vista points are visited in this video.

Spacious Campsite on Bodega Bay
We stayed at a campsite in Bodega Dunes State Park to go visit San Francisco. Very reasonable camping fees; very roomy with privacy. But the temperatures were cool coming off the water. There is a nice town near the bay area to do grocery shopping. We met some nice people and it was very safe. You can hear seals. I recommend for people of color who want to camp.
