So here I am, testing out different Spa's around Bali and letting you know how I feel about them. ***CLICK READ MORE***
This is one of my faves so far, Bodyworks in Seminyak. I have used their hair treatment three times. Twice the results were amazing, and once very disappointing. I did highlights and the one time, you could barely tell that I actually went to the hairdresser.. So this person forgot to put on toner afterwards (that's what hairdresser number 3 told me when I went the third time). So, now I have her name and I request her when I go there, so I can be sure I get what I want. And as I said, the other times it was brilliant service.
Massages are great, I can highly recommend the Tension Release Massage. Look at my face in this video, I am super relaxed and really enjoyed it. The staff is trained and very attentive when it comes to make the customers feel comfortable etc.
What's annoying on their menu online is that the listed prices are excluding 12.5% government tax, so that comes on top of the bill when you are paying at the end.
I also did the Biokos Aloe Vera Facial and the Biokos Seaweed Facial. Both times I was very happy with it. I am not the biggest fan of getting all sorts of cremes rubbed into my face for an hour, however, if you live in Bali it's very necessary to do so. All facials include extractions as well which is good. So, I can recommend those two from the list.

Kuta Beach is on the western side of the island's narrow isthmus. It's considered Bali's most famous beach resort destination. Kuta Beach is also minutes away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Tuban. The nearby resorts of Tuban, Legian and Seminyak are all within close walking distance. Once a simple, rustic and quiet fishing village, Kuta Beach has witnessed a transformation over the past years. This is due to the rise of various accommodation options, dining and shopping scenes. The rapid growth owes much to visitors, beachcombers and art lovers from nearby Australia. Expatriates also helped pioneer surfing in Kuta, as well. A rather frenzied traffic scene has become commonplace here. Even so, Kuta Beach continues to attract thousands of visitors every year with its unique charm. Kuta Beach is regularly fully-booked over the peak seasons. This is usually from July to August and the holiday season for Christmas and New Year. Travellers look forward to visiting Kuta for a pleasant and affordable Bali escape.

On the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, the Torajan people believe that a person is not truly dead until water buffalo have been sacrificed at their funeral, serving as the vehicle to the afterlife. Until that time, the bodies are may be kept at the family's home for weeks, months or years and are fed and cared for as if they were alive. Some Torajans continue their relationship with the dead through a ma'nene' ceremony, a type of second funeral in which families bring out their ancestors every few years and change their clothes and clean their bodies and crypts.

Traditional Balinese massage was developed with influences from the traditional medicine systems of India, China, and Southeast Asia. The reality these days is that most massage practitioners offering cheap massage train for a minimum of 15 minutes or so. Western massage therapists like myself train for a minimum of one year full-time. This lovely young girl here told me she uses a bit of Thai massage and Lomi Lomi. To become a fully-trained Thai Massage therapist takes 3 weeks at Wat Poh (I've done that course too) and this is the most extensive course. Balinese massages are enjoyable but perhaps not ideal for people with injuries or spinal issues. This young girl was SO keen to learn and did so quickly. The average massage course in Australia costs $7,500 so... you get my point... #bali

Waterbom Bali has always focused itself on its never-ending quest to improve; in 2013 Waterbom Bali began part 1 of 2 phases and committed to the biggest renovation and innovation enhancement project since its birth in 1993.
Phase 1 was completed in May 2014, where by Waterbom Bali introduced four brand new slides that uses the latest slide path designs as well as innovative fiberglass technology. Waterbom works with the leading waterslide manufacturer in the industry, WhiteWater, which always supplies for the likes of Disney and many other famed waterparks around the world. It’s with this kind of trust that deliversa perfect combination of safety and creativity.
The idea of the first phase is was to provide an upgrade from the previous installments of family slides, we had to bid our farewell to the Raft River, Jungle rides, and the famous Macaroni slide to give room to a new tower, two new body slides (The Green Vipers), 1 tube ride (The Constrictor) and gigantic 4 person tube ride (The Python). Each of the slides brings something new to the waterpark world. The green vipers use silkteck technology which is the cleanest fiberglass in the market, it is also translucent so the riders can be seen swishing around from above the tower or below as you are walking on the pathways. The constrictor is actually the Longest WhiteWater waterslide out there, with an impressive length of 250 meters (yes! A quarter of a kilometer long!!). And lastly the Python is massive in size with the belly of the slide measuring a crazy 6 meters in diameter.
After the first phase, the waterbom team took a much needed 6 month break before pushing through and starting phase 2. Phase 2 is focused on the thrills segment of the park, and by thrills we mean high pumping adrenalin boosters gaurenteed to leave you with a scream or perhaps a wedgie ;). Drum roll please….
DOUBLE TWIST:
A speedy drop followed by A DOUBLE loop provides a combination of speed, twists, turns and thrills. One of the most creative and innovative slide paths world wide,engineered and designed with the purpose of FUN in mind.
FAST N’ FIERCE:
Two open slides, line up side by side with a guaranteed to offer nothing short of a RUSH. This will leave thrill seekers wanting to come back for more. Speed is the name of the game for this slide.
TWIN RACERS:
The name of the slide says it all, race your friends and get the fun competitive spirit rolling. Start on a mat, face forward, push off, spiral around the in-closed section of the ride and then race down the surprise drop of the slide for the last stretch. A combination of fun and excitement for all ages! Get ready..gooooooo.
Smash down 2.0
The famous smash down of old has gotten that much better. Its predecessor started at 21 meters up, Smash Down 2.0 starts at a staggering 25.9 meters. Similar to the Climax slide, Smash Down 2.0 has everyone enter a capsule only to have a trap door open from underneath and have you bullet your way to the finish point in a matter of seconds. Adrenalin pumping – Check, Heart pounding – Check, Head rushing – check. More thrills it is..
And for the cherry on top, Waterbom Bali presents the FLOW RIDER DOUBLE, the first on the island. Yes you read it right, not a single but a double. It’s a five foot stationary wave supplied by the most reputable wave company in the industry ‘Wave Loch’.
