5 Best Rooftop Bars in Prague
We spent 5 months loving, living and DINING in Prague, Czech Republic. Check out some of our favorites rooftop restaurants and bars we found!
1. DANCING HOUSE
Address: Jiráskovo nám. 1981/6, 120 00 Nové Město, Czechia
The entrance onto the rooftop patio is 100 korunas or you can buy a drink and the entrance to the outdoor patio is FREE. I recommend going here for the sunset with a great view of the Vlatva River and the Prague Castle. Very relaxed vibe with people coming after work for a drink or just to hangout during the day.
2. T-ANKER
Address: OD Kotva, nám. Republiky 656/8, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia
It is a little difficult to find but it is on the 5th floor of the mall. It is a very family friendly environment, especially when it gets warm there is also a playset for your little ones, complete with a slide!
3. UPRINCE HOTEL
Address: Staroměstské nám. 460/29, 110 00 Staré Město, Czechia
One of our PERSONAL favorites! It has great food, great drinks and great views. It is on the top floor of the UPrince Hotel right in Old Town Square. One of the only places in Prague where we could find a Moscow mule. Also recommend their hanging meat skewer and their sangria!
4. VILLA RICHTER at St Wenceslas Vineyard
Address: Staré zámecké schody 6, 118 00 Praha 1, Czechia
Located near the Prague Castle area, this recently restored vineyard has panoramic views of the city, plenty of seating within its two restaurants. It makes for a great stop after touring the Prague Castle or visiting Petrin Tower. It is also known as the oldest vineyard in Bohemia
5. KAMPA PARK
Address: Na Kampě 8b, 118 00 Malá Strana, Czechia
Although it is not on a rooftop, it has great views of the Vltava River and the Charles Bridge with an international menu and a large list of wines. The avocado shrimp salad was absolutely TO DIE FOR. Although this spot is perfect for summer weather, Kampa Park also has plenty of space inside and a winter garden complete with a heated conservatory that overlooks the river.

St. Charles Bridge & Taste of Prague Food Tour in Czech Republic
Our second day in Prague and we started early with a Sandeman's walking tour through Prague, which was really good. We then killed some time walking to the St. Charles Bridge and taking some pictures before we finally picked up some light snacks and headed to our Taste of Prague food tour. The food tour was the highlight of our night and was really good. I always recommend taking a food tour in a new city so you can experience the culture and learn more. It was still very cold this day and had snowed overnight.

Supermarket snack dessert from Prague the capital of Czech Republic. It is made of dough and similar to doughnut. It is an original and authentic pastry you can buy everywhere.
See in this unboxing movie a review of three different kind of pastries. There is one that is natural original and plain.
The second one is filled with Cranberries and tasted really fruity, that's the newest product. The third dessert is a chocolate version filled with cream. Choose the one you would like the most.
We hope that we could give you an overview of what kind of food other counties eat and sell.

Prague Pisek gate
Prague : Pisek gate
Praha : Písecká brána
Approximate coordinates (gps): 50.09538 x 14.40583
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Písek Gate (Czech: Písecká brána), also called Bruska Gate (Czech: Bruská brána) is a former city gate of Baroque fortification of Prague, Czech Republic. Once belonging to the fortification section called Marian Walls (Czech: Mariánské hradby) it is located in K Brusce Street in the Hradčany neighbourhood, not far from Hradčanská metro station. Other sights in the vicinity include Royal Summer Palace or Villa Bílek. Nowadays Písek Gate is the only preserved gate of the city proper and one of four remaining of the whole fortification system (Tábor, Leopold and Chotek (Brick) gates are part of Vyšehrad Fortress).
The name has nothing in common with town of Písek in Southern Bohemia but it derives from a previous medieval gate which used to stand several hundred steps away, at Písek, a defunct suburb of Lesser Quarter (located approximately where Valdštejnská Street is today). This suburb together with the old gate was demolished in the 1620s in order to make space for then newly built Wallenstein Palace. The alternative name derives from the Brusnice (Bruska) stream, a tiny tributary of the Vltava River running along northern side of Prague Castle.
The gate was situated between bastions of St George and St Ludmilla. It was built as one of latest parts of Baroque fortification in 1721 by architect Giovanni Battista Alliprandi after a design by František Vogot. Písek Gate serving northbound traffic was one of three city gates in the left bank part of Prague (the other were westbound Imperial Gate (Czech: Říšská brána) located in what is now Dlabačov Street and southbound Újezd Gate (Czech: Újezdská brána) in Újezd Street). During the War of the Austrian Succession in 1741 understaffed and weakly defended Písek Gate was where troops of Charles Albert, Elector of Bavaria and claimant to the throne of Bohemia, entered Prague. After the Austro-Prussian War of 1866 it was decided that fortified cities were no longer necessary and the fortification ring of Prague started to be gradually dismantled. The Marian Walls survived until the turn of 20th century when only fractions, including Písek Gate, were left. Thanks to a new road bypassing it, the gate was no longer considered an obstacle for growing traffic and remained standing. In 2000 - 2002 Písek Gate underwent restoration and was turned into a café and gallery; wedding ceremonies are held there as well.

OUR FIRST DAY IN PRAGUE | Exploring + Budget Activities!
We made it to Prague! We ended up doing Day 2 on the itinerary instead of Day 1 but it was an absolute success. We didn't wake up as early as we would've liked but we still got a chance to get some amazing views of the city, get dessert and sightsee so much.
___________________________________________________________________
Here's a few activities that we did that were in our budget and worth doing:
Astronomical Clock (FREE, strikes every hour and to avoid the crowds, go at sunrise!)
Old Town Bridge Tower (This one we did, it was 100 CZK = $4.31 USD = SO WORTH IT!)
Charles Bridge (Go at sunrise to avoid the crowds, but you can go to the playground underneath it located on the bank of the Vltava river to get an amazing view!)
Get yourself a Trdelník with soft served ice cream at the small shop right before going to the children's park! It was 110 CZK each = $4.74
Prague City Hall (Go check out the paternoster lift. A doorless 20th century elevator that doesn't stop or slow down, SO COOL!)
Vysehrad (A historic fort built approximately in the 10th century; you'll find the beautiful doors of the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, a beautiful cemetery and panoramic views of the city!)
Hope this was helpful. Make sure you're subscribed for our next Prague vlog with more activities you can do while you're here! :D
