100 Great Scottish Pubs Bon Accord
The Bon Accord is one of Scotlands great whisky pubs. It is in the heart of Glasgow and serves good pub food. There are many reasons for visiting this pub, great whisky knowledge and Scotlands most expensive dram are just two of them.
Its definitely getting into my book, '100 Great Scottish Pubs', 'A thirst quenching guide to Scotland'.

TEST SCREENING
Hidden Underground is a short film about what lies beneath the surface of Aberdeen's City centre including a very hidden Subway tunnel that runs through the centre of Aberdeen, underneath everything!
Aberdeen is home to some of the UK's finest Victorian engineering projects that when built changed the city centre, removing the slums and old housing to make way for Bridges and roads.
If you have ever wondered how our city centre came about let me start you in the right direction.

A Rush to Glasgow

Story Behind A Rush to Glasgow.
On Saturday morning at 5am we woke up and made the long trek to Glasgow from London Euston to see my favourite band Rush.
We met a really nice couple called Tracy and Rick who joined the train at Preston and they were also heading to Glasgow for Rush. We exchanged numbers and said we would meet them at a pub called the Bon Accord (more on that later). We arrived at Central Station in Glasgow about 13.15pm. Before we checked in to our hotel we headed straight to the Solid Rock Bar where we met our friend Mark, then after we had checked in to our hotel in Charing Cross not far from the SECC. We walked across the road to the other pub (Allen had been reading all about this pub as he like his ales) the Bon Accord where we met up with another friend Tam then joined by Mark and Tracy and Rick, from there we all headed to Rush.
I packed two pairs of boots. I travelled up in the ASOS boots featured in this video with the black embossed shiny leggings. The ASOS boots have a slight platform with a 4.25 inch heel and the other pair made by Dorothy Perkins has a small heel about 4 inches ideal for the concerts and if we needed to walk around a lot. I know all about the hills in Glasgow from previous experiences.
The Rush concert at the SECC really was good but not as good as I had expected set list wise but 4 rows from the front we wasn't going to complain.
On the Sunday we met up with Mark and walked around Glasgow to see some parts of Glasgow we hadn't been able to see on previous visits. I wore my ASOS boots for the whole weekend apart from the concert. The Dorothy Perkins have a smaller heel as I have said but I never wore them at all only for the Rush concert as they ended up hurting me so much I am not sure why.
We visited a few pubs the first I cannot remember, the second was a Wetherspoons called The Counting House before seeing Mark off at Central Station and ending the evening at the Solid Rock Bar.
Monday we went in Sauchiehall Street and went into a little indoor market where I found some white elbow lace gloves to buy. We met Mark again in the Solid Rock Bar before catching our train at 13.40pm from Glasgow Central to London Euston and arrived home at just before 19.25.
Scene One:
Allen, Mark and I walk to The Counting House pub.
Scene Two:
This scene we recorded in the little shop here I bought the white elbow length gloves and had a really nice chat with the people in the shop. A slight bit of heel bending but we also recorded this section because of the wonderful sound of the heels on the tiled floor.
Scene Three:
We recorded this scene in the railway station and at the bus stop home whilst waiting for a taxi home. We recorded some lovely sounds on tiles at the station and then some really nice heel bending whilst sitting down.

20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland Travel Guide
Join us for this travel guide to Glasgow, Scotland as we highlight 20 of the best things to do in Glasgow including visiting distilleries, trendy restaurants, hopping pubs, fascinating museums and more attractions.
This is our second time visiting Glasgow, UK and our city guide is a combination of footage from our visit this year and last year. Glasgow has a thriving food scene (both Scottish food and International) and we give you a thorough food tour as we bite our way around the city.
In terms of major attractions Glasgow (Glaschu) doesn't have many iconic places to visit as nearby Edinburgh; however, I feel one of the advantages it has over Edinburgh is that the city is more spread out and each neighborhood has a distinct character.
One of our favorite places to visit was the University of Glasgow which has a campus that would make Harry Potter proud. Whether we were visiting breweries or distilleries or having seafood for lunch or dinner we found no shortage of things to do in Glasgow, Scotland.
Now let's explore Glasgow (Glesga) together!

20 Things to do in Glasgow, Scotland travel guide video transcript:
In today’s video we’re going to be showing you around Glasgow, Scotland. This is a city that we visited last autumn and then again this summer, and on both visits, we ate like kings and queens because it turns out, Glasgow is a great destination for foodies.
Since we never got around to making a travel guide on our first visit, today we’re going to be combining the footage from both of those trips to show you some of the best things to do in Glasgow and also some of the best places to eat and drink it. So let’s get started!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Glasgow, Scotland. We loved our two visits and we’d gladly return for a 3rd. This is an amazing city for foodies and there are so many great bars, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries to visit.
Also FYI - if you’re already visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow is just a short 50-minute train ride away, and it’s a city with its own unique vibe.
If there are any other fun things to do in Glasgow that you’d like to share with travellers, feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments below. Wishing you happy travels!
This is part of our Travel in Scotland video series showcasing Scottish food, Scottish culture and Scottish cuisine.
