Boardi Beach is an absolutely flat and calm beach. The height of water is just enough to drown your feet even during high tide water level does not touch the knees.
Boardi beach is a very safe beach to sit, relax & chill. The sand is actually black and we wrote our names in it.
The beach is very quiet and you wont find it crowded. It is a kind of private beach to chill & relax.

A Trip To Bordi, Maharashtra - A Lazy Village With Deserted Beach !!!!
Bordi is a small village located above 130kms from Mumbai in state of Maharashtra, India. I had stayed for a couple of days in April 2016. The description can be read as follows;
1) A totally deserted and clean Bordi Beach taken at 11:00am
2) Nice well maintained road and scenery near Bordi Beach.
3) Beautiful sunset at Bordi Beach at 18:50Hrs.
4) Bordi Beach taken at 19:05Hrs, 15mins after Sunset
5) A coverage of Goolkhush Resort at Bordi where I stayed in an AC room for INR2500 per day per head inclusive of morning tea, afternoon tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
6) Goolkhush Resorts Swimming Pool, AC room with Coconut Plantation around.
7) After 4-5km walk in Bordi Village, we take a breather at a Big Lake which had dried up a bit
8) 12935 Bandra Terminus Surat Intercity Express speeds through a rural Bordi Road Railway station.

BORDI BEACH - This beautiful beach is situated near Dahanu Road, in Thane District. The Bordi beach is a very safe beach as the water does not rise above the waist up to 400 meters. The entire stretch of the beach from Dahanu to Bordi is roughly 17 kilometers and very picturesque. The specialty of the beach is that it is natural and calm even though the beach is connected with outside town it is pristine and refreshing.

Dahanu has a brisk air. The best time to visit Dahanu Bordi is during the winter (November to February).

Bordi beach is 24 Kilometers away from Dahanu Road Railway Station (W.R.) and if you want to go to Bordi; then you have to catch the shuttle train from Virar Station for Dahanu Road. Shuttle Trains ply regularly between Dahanu Road and Virar. Also there are some mail trains which halts at Dahanu Road. The place is also accessible from Mumbai - Ahmedabad Highway.

Aswali dam - Aswali dam is one of the best place to visit if you planning to go for one day picnic.
Though it takes 3 hours to reach from Mumbai, this place can be counted as one of the best and beautiful place to visit with family.
One can reach here from Mumbai Ahmadabad highway or can reach by train. You can reach Aswali dam from palghar or Gholwad or Dahanu or Umbargaon it takes max half an hour to reach here.

Bordi and Chinchani beach
Bordi is a village in the Palghar district of Maharashtra, India. It is located in the Dahanu taluka. Its a small town with no hustle bustle so one can relax there. There are many resorts to stay there. Beaches there are not that extrordinary but its a cool place to spend a weekend. Bordi is an idyllic beachfront, 160 km North of Mumbai surrounded by Chikoo orchards all over the area. Dahanu beach is 15 km from Bordi and also known as Dahanu chowpaty. Chinchani beach is about 30 km from Bordi and a very flat beach with white sand. Its a lovely place to spend evening and watch sun going down.

A visit to Bordi, Dahanu.
Bordi is a small area that somes near Dahanu.
How to go there:
If you are taking your personal vehicle then its easy through GPS. If you want to go by train then there are two options. 1. You can take a Dahanu local from any of the western railway station and get off at Dahanu and then take an auto to Bordi or If you are taking a Vapi express or any other train going towards Gujarat then you can get off at Gholwad station. It will charge you 20 rupees. There is a 7:45 am train from Virar. From Gholwad station you can take an auto and reach Bordi in 10 rupees.

Swim in the sea, try the Pani puri, Star gazing at night, Chickoo chips, Chickoo pickle and Chickoo kulfi.
The beach has a patch of golden sand too .
