Boston’s acclaimed French restaurant from celebrated Chef/Owner Jamie Mammano. Located in the city’s stylish South End, Mistral showcases Chef Mammano’s uncomplicated French Mediterranean cuisine, highlighted with the season’s finest ingredients. Inspired by the wind that sweeps through the south of France, the restaurant’s decor is reminiscent of Provence with hand picked French pottery, high ceilings and arched floor to ceiling windows that evoke a feeling of warmth and sophistication. Mistral’s dramatic dining room serves dinner nightly and Sunday Brunch. In our bar and comfortable lounge area we also offer craft cocktails and fine wines to compliment Chef Mammano’s menu. Mistral’s private dining room, Le Salon du Mistral, accommodates 60 seated and up to 80 guests for a reception.

Rochambeau Boston's Back Bay | Fun, French Flair to Boylston Street
Boston, MA – Rochambeau, a fun, vibrant French restaurant and café from the Lyons Group, is now open at 900 Boylston Street in Boston’s Back Bay. The former Towne Stove & Spirits space has been completely transformed into a multifaceted space comprised of a French brasserie and all day cafe. The culinary program at Rochambeau is under the direction of Chef Nick Calias, a twelve year veteran of Brasserie Jo and the Colonnade Hotel, and Chef Matthew Gaudet, formerly of West Bridge in Cambridge, MA and a former Food & Wine “Best New Chef” winner.
The entrance to the bi-level brasserie leads guests to a large, copper-fronted center bar with four sides of seating surrounded by tables and booths, The second floor serves as the brasserie’s main dining space. Adjacent to the main dining room is an additional bar and private dining area. Also on the second floor is an expansive private dining and event space that is customizable based on guests’ needs. Additionally, there is a 65 seat seasonal outdoor patio.
Chef Calias and Chef Gaudet have applied their vast knowledge and expertise on French cuisine to develop the menus at Rochambeau. The menu features modern twists on French brasserie classics such as wood-grilled lobster frites, coq au vin with porcini knefla, and a chateaubriand meant for sharing with the table. Guests will also be able to enjoy a few of the chefs’ most notable items, including Chef Calias’ profiteroles and Chef Gaudet’s Egg in a Jar appetizer. Lobster popovers will be featured on the bar menu as homage to Chef Lydia Shire’s days at Towne Stove & Spirits.
The all-day café occupies the front half of the first level of the expansive space. The café will serve coffee and tea drinks as well as breakfast and lunch items such as a classic bodega-style egg sandwich, tartines, salads and sandwiches. Rochambeau’s pastry chef, Michele Fadden, has curated a pastry menu for the café featuring seasonal fruit crostatas and a signature Rochambeau cookie, made with oats and dark chocolate chunks.
Rochambeau’s expansive wine list will feature French wines, such as Chenin, Cremant, French Malbec, and Tanat, hand selected by Wine Manager William Moriarty, who joins Rochambeau following five years with the Barbara Lynch Collective.
David Evers will oversee Rochambeau as the General Manager. Evers, a Charlestown native, returns to Boston after eight years with the Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, most recently serving as Operations Director. Evers has traveled the world opening restaurants, many of which have received national and regional accolades.
The former Towne Stove & Spirits space has been completely transformed by Brooklyn-based Home Studios, who have designed many notable restaurants in New York City and Los Angeles. Design elements throughout the French-inspired space include a tin ceiling, greenery that will serve as room dividers, wrought iron, pink glass tile, pops of bold blue hues, and beautiful tile floors.
The name Rochambeau is inspired by the French general who played an integral role in helping the Thirteen Colonies gain independence during the American Revolution. It is also another name for the game of rock-paper-scissors.
The café will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily, and the restaurant will be open for lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and until 11:00 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. The bar is open daily until 2:00 a.m. Brunch will be served on Saturdays and Sundays only, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Boston night. A time of thirst. Boston visited the famous beer in the bar. This is the same as the set of release to decorate the stage of the sitcom chieoseu '80s that were aired in the United States has become popular. Drama chieoseu 'is a sitcom a small bar' chieoseu in Boston in the background. Chieoseu very ordinary stories of everyday life, which led to a 'human touch' has won 26 Emmy Awards until fall 1983, the fourth consecutive year as the best picture of the Emmy Awards, including Comedy film. Is the power of the chieoseu sitcom? A sip of beer seems to change with moisture to thirsty horsepower. But the lover looks lovely view even encouraged me a glass of beer. The trip came to Boston in the couple married eight years in Kansas City. This is really a nice place. Boston People think it's a very friendly and nice people. We are thinking back to visit to see the city, a cool beer and a pleasant meeting with the couple is a bonus gift of travel. Boston night long.
