Kurobedaira is a station for a ropeway and cable car linking Mt. Daikanbo and Kurobe Lake. At an altitude of 1828m, you are able to view some magnificent mountains.
Inside the station, there is a restaurant and a soba corner for a light meal. Outside there is Kurobedaira Garden and some 2 minutes away on foot, there is also an alpine botanical garden.

いつ開くかは当日の朝にならないと分からないのですが、めったに咲くこと無い花を見ようと沢山の見学者が来園してました。富山県中央植物園は普段17時で閉園ですが、この鑑賞会がある日だけは特別展示のため21時頃まで鑑賞できます。

Hakone Botanic Gardens of Wetlands
The Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands (Hakone Shisseikaen or 箱根湿生花園 in Japanese) is located within the Fuji Hakone Izu National Park. It covers an area of about 30,000 square meters, where there are a great variety of hydrophyte and alpine plants native to Japan, spreading across marsh and grassland. In total the garden shows around 1700 plant varieties, approximately 200 of them are plants found in the Japanese marshlands and 1300 plant varieties fall into the alpine plant category.
The garden centres on the plant life thriving in the rivers and marshes originating from the wetlands. There is a walking path where you can look around the primeval wetlands from the lowlands to the mountains.
There are 8 zones within the garden: deciduous broad-leafed forests, dry grassy plains, low moors, Japanese moor grass plains, high mountain flower fields, high moors, wetlands and hygrophyte forests. On the opening day of March 20th, you will be greeted by witch hazel and skunk cabbage. In the latter half of the month, a sign of spring is the 20,000 blossoms of skunk cabbage that are starting to open. June is the most beautiful time of the year. The flowers of more than 100 types of plants bloom in the garden. October is the peak time for Japanese pampas grass, which turns gold under the sun to become a shining carpet. As the autumn gets into full swing in the garden, the area is surrounded by the colours of flowers such as violet bellflowers and gold toad lilies.

일본 특유의 아기자기한 조경을 만끽할 수 있는 리쓰린 공원은 에도 시대 지방 영주의 정원이었다. 내가 이곳을 찾아간 때는 벚꽃이 한창인 4월의 첫날. 이제 막 찾아 온 봄의 향기에 흠뻑 취하고 말았다. 리쓰린 공원은 나무, 돌, 물의 조화가 아름다웠다. 이끼마저 돌과 아름다운 색채의 대비를 이뤘다. 정성껏 가꾸어진 나무들과 구도가 아름다운 연못의 돌 배치 그리고 영주가 차를 마시던 호젓한 다실이 기억에 남는다. 밤에 리쓰린 공원을 다시 찾았다. 낮보다 더 많은 사람들이 줄지어 입장을 하고 있다. 그 이유는 밤 벚꽃 때문. 조명을 받은 벚꽃 잎은 낮과는 다른 색감으로 눈을 즐겁게 했다. 가족과 연인들이 벚꽃을 배경으로 사진을 찍고 있다. 평화로운 봄날 밤의 풍경이다. 시코쿠의 첫인상은 봄날처럼 평온하고 소박했다.

Im Nebel fuhr ich mit der Fähre von Wakkanai zu der Insel Rebun. Dort nahm ich an einer Bustour zu den Hauptattraktionen der Insel Teil, wie u. a. die Besichtigung des Katzenfelsens (Neko iwa) und machte mich am späten Nachmittag wieder zurück nach Wakkanai, um von dort aus noch den Bus zum nördlichsten Punkt Japans (Kap Sōya) erreichen zu können.
Hättet ihr den Pfirsichfelsen erkannt? ????

THE BEST JAPANESE TAIKO DRUMMERS, WADAIKO KOKUBU | MANYOU BOTANICAL GARDEN HANGING WISTERIA
We paid another visit to Nara. This time to see the Wadaiko Kokubu Japanese drum group. It's a group of the best taiko drummers I've seen led by Mr Chiaki Toyama. Their Japanese taiko drum performance was amazing.

This video has been one of my biggest undertakings. It's the most Japanese I've ever featured in a vlog and I had to scrutinise the translation which I wrote myself. My Japanese level is low conversational so it was a bit of a challenge to capture the nuances of his words. But this is one of my best vlogs because of it, I think.
