Fort Bowie National Historic Site
In the throes of a civil war where one nation wished to separate and follow its own destiny, the other wishing to maintain the union of a great nation; far to the west in what is now southeastern Arizona, a much smaller nation engaged the United States; as well as, Mexico just to keep its own sovereignty. Under the leadership of Cochise, the Chiricahua Apaches watched the encroachment of outsiders, the Butterfield Overland Mail Road, the stage station in Apache Pass and ranches sprouting up here and there across the arid landscape where water was premium; invading his peoples land. It finally come to a head after the Bascom Affair in February of 1861 which set the tone of hostilities and soon after; the Battle of Apache Pass fought July 15-16, 1862. Fort Bowie was then established July 28th, 1862 to protect the mail route, the nearby Apache Spring, and became the military nerve center on the campaign against the Apaches until Geronimo’s surrender September 4th, 1886. Afterwards, with the defeat of the Chiricahua Apaches Fort Bowie was no longer useful as a military base of operation closing October 17th, 1894 fading away into the silence of the surrounding hills and a bloody history lasting over two decades.

Utah Trip 2018: A visit to Ogden's Railroad Museum
And so the series begins!
Following morning after a late arrival in Ogden (14 hour car ride from home, didn't go to bed until 2 am) My family and I decided to take a look around the Ogden Union station, including the rail museum they have located there.
While I did get photos of the rail exhibits on the inside, I didn't want this video to drag out too long, so I only included photos of the actual trains outside, as well as a few videos of passing Frontrunner commuter trains. The museum has an extensive collection of vintage rolling stock, from Passeneger cars to Espee bay window cabooses to UP turbine locomotives, there was a lot to see here. More content is on the way!
This video is best watched in 1080p60 HD on a mobile device or laptop.

Rehearsal @ AM Studio (right below ultrasound) NYC
Cereal Hero Killer are:
Sandor Gavin, Tamas Mester, Justin Oram + Jay Sharp
we are kinda
electronica a bit industrial- I wish we sounded more like muse or brit pop but we're definitely a euro type, placebo - ish band. Sandor adds a synth pop jive to our sound that is reminiscent of the cure or new order. But we really don't want to sound like anyone else. We're not copy cats. We want to find our own way- like Bowie... though we may wind up covering him in the future.
Bob Chester Series pt 8 - Burlington,MKT,UP, MoPac, SP and more
This is the last of the Bob Chester series. There were smaller segments from several railroads that Bob caught on trips away from his home area. I also found that I'd overlooked two Santa Fe segments that had not been posted in part 1, so I have used them to close with. Thanks again to Bob for allowing everyone to see these long gone scenes he enjoyed so long ago.

London Recap, Final Slideshow 2014
And just like that... it's all over.
It's been one incredible journey. From check-in eight weeks ago, to Paris, to a boat cruise along the beautiful Thames... from late nights / early mornings at Primrose Hill to early Mornings in Chelsea and Shoreditch. From The Stay Club @ Camden to Boujis and back again, who know that we could've gotten this far and seen so much?
But we did. And now it's time to say goodbye.
Memories fade, and resumes / CVs evolve... but something that won't ever change is how this summer effected all of us in its own individual way, helping to shape us into the people that we are now. And most of all, the people that you've met - and the lifetime friends that you've made - will always be there, to help you along the path to YOUR dream.
Keep it real, and keep it Dreamy, y'all.
Thank you all...
... for the summer of a lifetime.

[Butterfield Trail] The Center of the World to The Middle of Nowhere (Day 4) [4K]
After leaving the Border and surveying Los Algodones, I headed for my last stop in California… The Center of the World... it runs on an honor code, please be sure to stop and contribute to this unique tribute to the history of mankind.
Jacques-André Istel and his wife, Felicia (who the town is named after) created this site originally as the Hall of Fame of parachuting, but it has gained notoriety for its Museum of History in Granite, Eighteen granite monuments include eight monuments to the History of Humanity, the History of Arizona (2010), the History of French Aviation (2002), the History of the French Foreign Legion (2003) the History of the United States of America, and a Marine Corps Korean War Memorial, of which Jacques served in
But back to Istel. This man lives an incredible life. After leaving active duty, He had a brief stint as an investment banker, before seeing the vast potential in free-fall parachuting. He quickly established a business and began educating people on parachuting. In 1956 Free Fall was illegal in the United States Armed Forces. Istel wrote Headquarters Marine Corps outlining the benefits, and was ultimately awarded a contract to train, thus becoming the creator of “High Altitude, Low Opening” free fall tactics used by the most elite military units worldwide, to this day. While serving as Commandant, General Charles C. Krulak declared, we are a better Corps today because of Jacues-Andre Istel. The Center of The World will surely stand the test of time, is so much more than a “tourist” trap. and will exist as a testament to mankind.
I set back out on the open road. No matter how many times you see them, helicopters are always fascinating to watch in action.
I quickly crossed the California-Ariz border into Yuma, and decided to stop and read until a train appeared. For this particular track at the foot of Fort Yuma, it took about twenty minutes before a Union Pacific intermodal appeared.
I ventured up the hill, to what was remaining of Fort Yuma, a prior strongpoint along the trail, and the Westernmost point of the state of Arizona. These days, it is owned by the Quechan Indian Tribe, who provide a small gift shop, and outstanding conversation.
I then got back on the highway, headed to link back up with the actual Butterfield Overland Mail Stagecoach route that defines this journey, located a few miles away. As you crest the mountain road you happen upon a stretch of highway dedicated to Jerry Garcia from one of the most influential American Rock Bands of all time, The Grateful Dead.
I exited the highway near some unidentified ruins, and stopped nest to a livestock center, in order to air down the tires and re-enter the dirt.
From there, I quickly returned to the backroad world, linking back up with the trail along one of Arizona’s brilliant irrigation systems.
I found a secluded area to establish camp, and then began clearing and breaking excess brush to serve as kindling for the fire. I decided to cook some seasoned chicken and peppers I’d purchased at a carniceria back across the Californian border, it was superb. I dined under the stars, properly extinguished my cooking fire, and racked out for the night. Tomorrow would be my first full day in the Arizona backcountry.

From his popular music to his personal artwork, Mothersbaugh's unique artistic view constantly foregrounds the relationship between technology and individuality. SEPTEMBER 11 attacks - WikiVidi Documentary
The September 11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda against the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The attacks killed 2,996 people, injured over 6,000 others, and caused at least $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage. Additional people died of 9/11-related cancer and respiratory diseases in the months and years following the attacks. Four passenger airliners operated by two major U.S. passenger air carriers —all of which departed from airports in the northeastern part of the United States bound for California—were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists. Two of the planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the North and South towers, respectively, of the World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan. Within an hour and 42 minutes, both 110-story towers collapsed. Debris and the resulting fires caused a partial or complete collapse of all other ...
