The Old Course next to the British Golf Museum is holding this position. The museum's exhibition hall showcasing the history of golf from the development process from the beginning to the stylish display could look interesting or even a stranger to golf. The sheep pools or tteutdeon abandoned land is now called the number of tourists was the goose laid the golden egg. Improved efforts of golf clubs and balls, etc. The tool also factors that increase the authority of the Old Course. I think. Title of the Holy Land of golf, after all is ARM, and is not possible by the efforts to develop it. Maybe it is just and true sense of culture?

Places to see in ( St. Andrews - UK )
St. Andrews is a seaside town northeast of Edinburgh, on Scotland’s east coast. It's known for its many golf courses, including the Old Course, with the landmark Swilcan Bridge at the 18th hole. The British Golf Museum chronicles the history of U.K. golf. On a headland nearby are the ruins of St. Andrews Castle, with its medieval bottle dungeon. Close to the castle is the University of St. Andrews, founded in 1413.
St. Andrews is a town on the east coast of Fife in Scotland, 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Dundee and 30 miles (50 km) northeast of Edinburgh. The town of St. Andrews is home to the University of St Andrews, the third oldest university in the English-speaking world and the oldest in Scotland. According to some rankings, it is ranked as the third best university in the United Kingdom, behind Oxbridge.
St. Andrews is named after Saint Andrew the Apostle. There has been an important church in St Andrews since at least the 8th century, and a bishopric since at least the 11th century . The settlement grew to the west of St Andrews cathedral with the southern side of the Scores to the north and the Kinness burn to the south. The burgh soon became the ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, a position which was held until the Scottish Reformation. The famous cathedral, the largest in Scotland, now lies in ruins.
St Andrews is also known worldwide as the home of golf. This is in part because the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, founded in 1754, exercises legislative authority over the game worldwide (except in the United States and Mexico), and also because the famous links (acquired by the town in 1894) is the most frequent venue for The Open Championship, the oldest of golf's four major championships.
Visitors travel to St Andrews in great numbers for several courses ranked amongst the finest in the world, as well as for the sandy beaches. The Martyrs Memorial, erected to the honour of Patrick Hamilton, George Wishart, and other martyrs of the Reformation epoch, stands at the west end of the Scores on a cliff overlooking the sea.

British Golf Museum - Lectures 2018 - Prof Neil Millar Early Golf in Scotland and England
Thursday 17th May 2018
Professor Neil Millar presents a talk at the British Golf Museum focussing on the early history of golf in Scotland and England.
His talk will focus primarily on events in the 15th-17th centuries and he will discuss evidence suggesting that some of the stories that have become part of mainstream golf history may be myths.
For example, he will discuss new findings concerning the importance of figures such as Catharine of Aragon, Mary Queen of Scots and the Stewart/Stuart Kings, as well as new evidence concerning the spread of the game from Scotland to England in the early 1600s.
Neil Millar is a Professor of Pharmacology at University College London (UCL) but also has an interest in the history of golf. He has adopted an evidence-based approach to golf history and has written several articles focussing on aspects of the early history of golf. A particular focus has been a reassessment of early documentary sources, which has led to a reassessment of several aspects of the early history of golf in Britain.

Monk's Well, St. Andrews
Ancient holy well or spring located in cemetery adjoining St. Andrews Cathedral grounds. The water inside the interesting structure is stagnant and full of litter and debris. CANMORE, citing Morris and Morris (1982) refer to the well as Monk's Well. They add that St. Cainnech [Kenneth] is associated with it, having supposedly built up a small community there, possibly because it was a holy spot in pre-Christian days. A later well, also derelict, is situated close by, against the wall.

Places to see in ( Dunblane - UK )
Dunblane is a town in the council area of Stirling in central Scotland. It is a commuter town, with many residents making use of good transport links to much of the Central Belt, including Glasgow and Edinburgh. Dunblane is built on the banks of the Allan Water (or River Allan), a tributary of the River Forth. Dunblane Cathedral is its most prominent landmark. Dunblane had a population of 8,114 at the 2001 census which grew to 8,811 at the 2011 census, both figures computed according to the 2010 definition of the locality.
The most popular theory for the derivation of the name Dunblane is that it means fort of Blane, commemorating Saint Blane (or Bláán in Old Irish), an early Christian saint who lived probably in the late 6th century. His main seat was originally Kingarth on the Isle of Bute. He or his followers may have founded a church at Dunblane; the cult of Bláán possibly came there with settlers from what is now Argyll in later centuries. The earliest spellings of the name Dunblane are of the form Dul Blaan, the first element being a Pictish word for 'water meadow, haugh' which was borrowed into Gaelic. There are parallels to Dul Blaan in such Scottish place-names as Dalserf, Dalmarnock and Dalpatrick, all of which commemorate saints.
The earliest evidence for Christianity on the site are two cross-slabs of the 10th to 11th centuries which are preserved in the cathedral. Incorporated into the later medieval building, but originally free-standing, is an 11th-century bell-tower, whose height was increased in the 15th century. The nave and aisleless choir are 13th century. Dunblane did not have a rich or extensive medieval diocese (37 parishes), and the cathedral is relatively modest in scale, but its refined architecture is much admired, as is its setting overlooking the valley of the Allan Water.
After the Reformation, the nave of the cathedral was abandoned and soon became roofless and used for burials. The choir was retained as the parish church. The nave was re-roofed and the cathedral provided with new furnishings by Robert Rowand Anderson between 1889 and 1893. During the boom years of the Hydropathy movement in the 19th century, Dunblane was the location of a successful hydropathic establishment.
Since the early 1970s the town has grown extensively and is now regarded as a highly sought-after commuter town due to its excellent road and rail links and good schools. Dunblane is close to the University of Stirling's campus at Bridge of Allan, and is a popular location for academics. Japanese Wagyu beef is now being raised in Dunblane.
Dunblane currently has two supermarkets, a Tesco (opened in 1996) and a M&S Foodhall (opened in 2009), as well as a local Co-op (opened after the Marks and Spencer). Among other shops, the High Street has two independent butchers and branches of the Bank of Scotland and Royal Bank of Scotland. Over the course of 6 years, a small group of young local boys and their parents raised money to build a skatepark in the Laighills. The skatepark was completed on 23 February 2007 and has already been visited by Death skateboard team and by the Vans UK Tour.

Places to see in ( Carnoustie - UK )
Carnoustie is a town and former police burgh in the council area of Angus, Scotland. It is at the mouth of the Barry Burn on the North Sea coast. In the 2011 census, Carnoustie had a population of 11,394, making it the fourth largest town in Angus.
The town was founded in the late 18th century, and grew rapidly throughout the 19th century due to the growth of the local textile industry. It was popular as a tourist resort from the early Victorian era up to the latter half of the 20th century, due to its seaside location, and is best known for the Carnoustie Golf Links course that often hosts the Open Championship.
Carnoustie can be considered a dormitory town for its nearest city, Dundee, which is 11 miles (18 km) to the west. It is served by Carnoustie railway station, and less so by Golf Street railway station. Its nearest major road is the A92.
The origin of the name Carnoustie is uncertain. Plausible suggestions have included various Gaelic derivations such as cathair, càrr or càrn na fheusta, 'fort, rock or cairn of the feast,' or càrn guithais, 'cairn of the firtree.' However, these suggestions are of relatively recent origin and the name may derive from an obscure Pictish element, Càrn Ùstaidh. The area surrounding Carnoustie has been occupied continuously since the Neolithic period.
Carnoustie benefited from the 19th century fashion for sea bathing. The arrival of the railway enabled the town to develop as a popular tourist destination; it was promoted as the Brighton of the North in the early 20th century. Tourism in Carnoustie began to decline in the latter half of the 20th century, largely due to the increased availability of package tours to warmer parts of the world. This trend has reversed somewhat with the increase in golf tourism.
Carnoustie occupies a seafront position on the North Sea coast of Scotland, on land immediately to the north east of the Buddon Ness, 10.3 miles (17 km) ENE of Dundee, 6.7 miles (11 km) SW of Arbroath and 13.1 miles (21 km) SSE of Forfar. The town lies 42.2 miles (68 km) NNE of Edinburgh[76] and 360.2 miles (580 km) NNW of London. The built-up area occupies a roughly rectangular shape 1.9 miles (3.1 km) long by 0.5 miles (0.9 km) wide. The land is relatively flat, rising gradually to around 30 m elevation to the north of the town. The climate is typical for the east coast of Scotland, although the weather can be locally influenced by sea mist, locally known as haar.
Much of the western part of Carnoustie is post-war. The main road in this part of the town is known as 'Barry Road' and towards its eastern end there are a group of weavers cottages that pre-date the expansion of the town and used to belong to the hamlet of Hunterstown. Leading south from here, is Panmure Street, which leads to the Panmure Institute and, behind it, the Panmure Works. The Panmure Institute is now known as the Panmure Centre and owned by Angus Council for their Community Learning and Development Centre. The factory building was restored in the late 1990s and now houses the building firm DJ Laing.
The road heading north on the opposite side of Dundee Street is 'West Path'. Its name comes from the fact it was the path that lead down to the main road from the western boundary of the grounds of Carnoustie House. Carnoustie House was built by Major William Philips in 1792 and bought by George Kinloch in 1808. It passed to Kinloch's daughter, Cecilia Kinloch who, in turn, passed it to her niece, Helen Lingard-Guthrie.
The A92 runs between Arbroath and Dundee about ⅔ of a mile (1 km) to the north of Carnoustie. There are several ways to reach the A92, including the main routes that run between the Upper Victoria junction and between the A930, Carlogie road and Muirdrum Junction. It is also possible to reach the west-bound carriageway of the A92 via Balmachy Road and the Grange of Barry Road.
Trains are operated by Abellio ScotRail on the Edinburgh to Aberdeen line. They stop at Carnoustie railway station on an approximately hourly basis. Two trains a day stop at Golf Street railway station (0638 West-bound and 1910 East-bound) and two at Barry Links (06:41 West-bound and 18:52 East-bound). As a result, Golf Street and Barry Links are two of the least used stations in the UK.

St Andrews Weekend Travel Diary | January 28 - 29, 2017
This is a long overdue video, but it's only because I am absolutely in love with St Andrews and wanted to do it justice. From 1/28-1/29, I traveled to St Andrews to visit a high school friend who is a full time student there. This was actually my second time visiting, as I visited the weekend before as a part of a school trip. The first time I went, the weather was super cold and gloomy. This time, the first day was rainy but the second day I was there was beautiful and sunny. My friend showed us around the school and the town, and I had an amazing time!
Places we visited in order:
Peter's Yard (Edinburgh, ate breakfast here before we left for St Andrews)
Rocca Restaurant (Afternoon tea)
The Seafood Restaurant
The Old Course
British Golf Museum
Northpoint Cafe
Cathedral
Castle
The Pier

Places to see in ( Anstruther - UK )
Anstruther is a small town in Fife, Scotland, nine miles south-southeast of St. Andrews. The two halves of the town are divided by a stream, the Dreel Burn. it is the largest community on the Firth of Forth's north-shore coastline known as East Neuk. To the east, it merges with the village of Cellardyke.
Founded as a fishing village, Anstruther is home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum. Its main industry is now tourism, although other small scale manufacturing and service industries continue. Recreational vessels are now moored in the harbour, and a golf course is situated near the town. Anstruther Pleasure Cruises operate sightseeing/wildlife cruises from the harbour to the Isle of May, the UK's primary puffin location, on board the vessel the May Princess from April to October. An abundance of other wildlife, including seal colonies, also inhabit the island. The Waid Academy, the local state comprehensive school, is a focus of the community and through its secondary role as a community centre. Anstruther has a parish church at its centre that is perched on a small hill. This structure incorporates a tower/spire feature rare to Britain, but common to the area.
Anstruther War Memorial is located in the cemetery, somewhat further inland. It is of an unusual war memorial form, being totally flat to the ground, in the centre of a landscaped roundel, broadly adopting the shape of a celtic cross. The town has a fish and chip shop, Anstruther Fish Bar, which won Fish and Chip shop of the year in 2001–2002 and was awarded the same prize once again by the Sea Fish Organisation in 2009.
Anstruther is home to Scotland's only true-scale model Solar System. The model, which shows the Sun and planets and the distances between them all at the same scale of 1 to ten thousand million, is located mostly in the town centre. It stretches almost 600 m from the Sun to Pluto. Anstruther is close to the Caves of Caiplie situated on the coastal path to Crail.
By the 19th century, Anstruther-Easter, Anstruther-Wester, and Kilrenny were all separate royal and parliamentary boroughs. Anstruther-Easter held tanning, shipbuilding, and fish-curing establishments, as well as a coasting trade. In 1871, the royal burgh of Anstruther-Easter had a population of 1169; the parliamentary burgh, 1289. Anstruther-Wester held 484.

98% of the country is composed of a typical landscape of rural Scotland. Ln any wonder that people live? Where I first stopped by the border town of Melrose. This is because the ruins of history here. Skeleton only remaining building is a magnificent ensemble in Melrose Abbey. Looking at the form of a pillar of medieval Gothic architecture. The twenty-four won first built in 1136 that was once proud of the great scale. Unfortunately, this temple remains only the skeleton is completely destroyed due to repeated wars with England. According to where the people saw that a commemorative photograph. It is where the heart of the Scottish national hero Robert the Bruce is buried. If you do not get a free soul can not relax, and touched the breast of this verse it is myojiseok.

Glasgow is a port city on the River Clyde in Scotland's western Lowlands. It's famed for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture, a rich legacy of the city's 18th–20th-century prosperity due to trade and shipbuilding. Today it's a national cultural hub, home to institutions including the Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland, as well as acclaimed museums and a thriving music scene.
Scotland, the U.K.’s northernmost country, is a land of mountain wildernesses such as the Cairngorms and Northwest Highlands, interspersed with glacial glens (valleys) and lochs (lakes). Its major cities are Edinburgh, the capital, with its iconic hilltop castle, and Glasgow, famed for its vibrant cultural scene. Scotland is also famous for golf, the game first played at the Old Course at St Andrews in the 1400s.
Scotland Vlog: Visiting the famous St. Andrews!
Hello everyone! Today we visit St. Andrews and the surrounding beach-side villages. We couldn’t have been more lucky with the weather, it was such a perfect day to visit an absolutely stunning university.

HEY GUYS
check out St. Andrews
Andrews, founded in 1413 .It is having the second most ranking beating oxford university . the town it self is very beautiful with lush green landscapes and clean sea shores covered with the presence of seagulls everywhere, i had a ball of a time enjoying this beautiful town for a month and visiting some small towns next to it .
