Sand Dune Arch Trail, Arches National Park, Utah
Sand Dune Trail leads through a small slot canyon filled with sand to a secluded arch. The arch sits in the shade for most of the day, flanked by two large sandstone fins. The trail starts from Sand Dune Arch Parking Lot and offers an easy walk for most people. Kids of all ages will enjoy playing in the fine sand.

Utah's Landscape Arch-1991.mp4
Tourists are shocked in disbelief when a large, 73 foot long chunk of famous Landscape Arch falls in a thunderous roar! The arch is one of the most famous at Arches National Park-Moab, Utah. A tourist just happened to be taking a video when the chunk broke off in 1991. The arch is located just off the trail in the Devil's Garden section of this popular U.S. National Park.
*The narrator says Longer than a football field (300 Ft.). Sources list the opening at 306 Ft. and the full span itself at 434 Ft. long-making it the World's longest natural arch. Source of video: The Travel Channel

Landscape Arch, Arches National Park, Utah
This is a quick view of our campground at Arches National Park then the hike to the beautiful Landscape Arch. The arch measures some 306 feet across the span and 6 feet thick at its thinest point. In 1991 or so some big chunks fell off the bottom of the arch so it won't last for ever. You better check it out before it all falls down, maybe within the next few thousand years. We then went beyond the arch a bit, hiking up one of the sandstone fins. A good, short hike.

Hiking to Corona Arch and Bowtie Arch (near Moab, UT)
Hiking the Corona Arch trail to Corona and Bowtie Arches. This is a 3 mile there and back trail taking in large sheets of slickrock and facing a canyon carved out for the Union Pacific Railroad transport of potash. This is a favorite of Moab locals who like to avoid the crowds at nearby Arches NP.

Hiking to Tower Arch (Arches NP)
The hike to Tower Arch is on a moderately-strenuous 3.5 mile there and back trail that travels through the Klondike Bluffs region of Arches NP. It’s not on the Scenic Drive, the main road connecting many of the park’s most popular features. It’s reachable by driving the Salt Valley Rd, a narrow winding dirt road that’s often impassible during rainy season. Terrain is mostly sandstone & slickrock and then sand dunes as the arch is approached from the Entrada sandstone fins. This region was originally called Devil’s Garden but lost that distinction when the Landscape Arch area received that name as the main road terminates there. It was discovered in 1922, but due to its relative remoteness receives far fewer visitors than other places in the park – making it an excellent obscure day hike!
