Duck Crossing in Browns Ferry Park

Nyberg Lane in Tualatin, Oregon is situated between two ponds, the pond on the north is in Browns Ferry Park, the pond on the south is on private land. I videoed the ducks on Friday afternoon and then Saturday morning. The ducks and ducklings are adorable but oblivious to the traffic. Featuring Mallard ducks and ducklings and a beauty shot of a Wood duck at the end.

In Southern Portland Oregon there are roads named after families that used to have ferry services to help people across some of the rivers in the area before bridges were built. Taylor’s Ferry, Brown’s Ferry, Boones Ferry to name a few. I figured that these old crossing locations would be areas where people congregated a long time ago. They would be on the ferry or near the ferry pulling coins out of their pockets to pay for the service. Inevitably some would drop coins. I targeted an area just downstream of Brown’s Ferry location where the water isn’t too deep in the summer. Located a lot of metal junk but finally the research and work paid off and my daughter Riley and I found the silver 1893 Barber quarter.

I know you typically shouldn’t clean an old coin like this. I used a little baking soda to clean the tarnish from the silver.

Lake Oswego, Oregon Railfanning of PNWR's 663 on the Willsburg District December 9th 2017

Here I was at Lakewood Bay in Clackamas County, while standing between Lakeshore Inn and Lake Theater & Cafe. I heard the horn of Portland & Western Railroad's 663 as it approached N State St. in Lake Oswego, Oregon. After getting a nice shot of Millennium Plaza Park, I focused the Canon on the freight train as it ran on the rails of the Willsburg District located along a walking path on the other side of the Bay. Bass Fishing near Portland Oregon

For those of you that are wondering whether or not there is good bass fishing in these Salmon Waters. Wonder no more. The Willamette River near Portland Oregon can provide some of the best Bass Fishing in the State. The majority of the Bass in the river will be Smallmouth Bass weighing from 1-6 lbs. With the average being 2-3 lbs.

During the Fall months these fish start feeding on larger forage to fatten up for the winter months. The bigger fish are also more active. So get out on the river and see for yourself!

Misty at Molalla River State Park on 7-22-17.

Fun times in the Summer with her friend Teysha-poo. Misty's chrome collar was a nuisance in the water, so I took it off her.
Where we were was on the Willamette River, and nearby is the confluence of the Molalla River into the Willamette River, and then the Pudding River also flows into the Willamette River. However, I drove past that area because there were too many people there. I drove to the parking lot at the Molalla River State Park and parked, then walked the dogs about ½ hour on the trail, took a path down to the river, and found a nice hang-out area off the Willamette River and enjoyed our day watching the boaters and water-skiers. This vid was taken with my iPhone.

Tigard and Lake Oswego Seal the Deal on Water Partnership

Starting in 2016, water originating from the Clackamas River will begin pouring out of Tigard water customers' taps. At a signing ceremony on August 6, 2008, Tigard Mayor Craig Dirksen and Lake Oswego Mayor Judie Hammerstad officially signed off on a long-awaited water partnership agreement between the two cities.
