Wall Drug - VIDEO TOUR of the Old Western Town (Badlands, South Dakota)
This place was advertised almost EVERY 5 MILES across the entire state of South Dakota! We were traveling to Mount Rushmore and when travelling west, the town of Wall appears first! Apparently it's a town called Wall and Wall Drug is a pharmacy. The owners of the pharmacy spearheaded the towns development and now you can see a very touristy old western style town with many souvenirs to buy!
You may see signs for free coffee, free water or free drinks. You can find a small thimble cup of free water at a bar, but nobody really wants to go in and have to ask for it lol! The 80 foot dinosaur just outside of the town is a cool place to stop, I do recommend that!
Wall Drug Store, often called simply Wall Drug is a tourist attraction located in the town of Wall, South Dakota. It is a shopping mall consisting of a drug store, gift shop, restaurants and various other stores. Unlike a traditional shopping mall, all the stores at Wall Drug operate under a single entity instead of being individually run stores. The New York Times has described Wall Drug as a sprawling tourist attraction of international renown [that] takes in more than $10 million a year and draws some two million annual visitors to a remote town.

Wall Drug - South Dakota
Traveling along the I-90 you will notice something once you enter South Dakota - hundreds of billboards and signs giving everyone a heads up about a mysterious drug store for hundreds of miles in either direction. When you get to the miniature town of Wall and find out what their drug store is all about, you will start to understand the magnitude that is Wall Drug - one of America's greatest roadside attractions. Shop for anything you can think of in the midst of what is essentially a 76 thousand square foot free museum, filled with taxidermy animals, singing robot cowboys, free ice water and dirt cheap coffee.

Let's Visit the Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Mount Rushmore is a very iconic landmark in the United States. Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota near Keystone, the monument contains four U.S. presidents sculpted into the mountain. Included at the park is a gift shop, an amphitheater, and some accessible trails providing different views of the monument. Although it is very crowded, it is one monument to definitely check out when visiting western South Dakota.
This video also features my aunt, uncle, and Lauren as special guests!

In South Dakota they don’t just carve stone, they carve entire mountains! In the Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore is one of the great icons of America. A few miles away, is a work in progress, The Crazy Horse Memorial. The dreams of man manifested by the determination of a single family’s hard work & perseverance. One of the greatest events of the year, takes place in Custer State Park. The annual Buffalo Roundup attracts over 8000 spectators to watch the display of cowboys on horseback (and in a wide variety of other vehicles) herd 1500 of the stubborn beasts to the pens for sorting, vaccination and potential sale. Once out of the Black Hills among the prairies is ranching and farming country. A must see is Wall Drug in Wall, the Pioneer Auto Show in Murdo, Hansen Carriages in Letcher, Laura Ingalls Wilder’s childhood home in De Smet, Terry Redlin Art Gallery in Watertown and the Corn Palace in Mitchell. October is pheasant season, a monument to which is the World’s Largest Pheasant in Huron, which is also home to “the city of murals”. Pheasant hunters from all over flock to this area to pursue the state bird, the Chinese ring neck pheasant.
