Bushkill Falls, known as The Niagara of Pennsylvania, has been open since 1904 and encompasses about 300 acres with eight waterfalls and more than two miles of trails, bridges and walkways. The drop of the Main Falls is approximately 100 feet. From the top of the first falls to the bottom of the lower gorge, the drop is about 300 feet. Other attractions include the Mining Maze, Mining for Gemstones, Native American and Wildlife exhibits, miniature golf, paddleboat rides, miles of nature trails, fishing in Twin Lakes, gift and souvenir shops, ice cream shop, fudge kitchen, snack bar and trail map adventures. Open daily from April through October/November weather permitting. Free parking and picnic area.

Bushkill Falls, Pennsylvania 2017 (Autumn)
We went to Bushkill in spring and it was breathtaking!!!! Autumn was beautiful too but no where close to the lush greenery and water thrice the volume seen in autumn. We took the red trail it took us about 2 hours to walk through. It's not very rocky, not steep either so it's more a casual long walk than a hike.
t's worth every bit of the $15, one of the most beautiful places in PA!
Bushkill Falls is a series of eight privately owned waterfalls, the tallest of which cascades over 100 feet (30 m), located in Northeast Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains in the United States. Has at least 3 major hike trails to check out different views of the waterfalls. Each trail is beautifully color coded with either red or yellow or green metal plates and patches to indicate the difficulty level of the hike. All trails have wooden stairs and are easy to navigate.
Nestled between Washington and Newyork, Pennsylvania truly is a beautiful state an Bushkill is one of the beautiful destination you should see if you're ever in this state.
Beginning at the headwaters of the Little Bushkill Creek, the water descends the mountain, toward the Delaware River, forming Bushkill Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Bridesmaid Falls, Laurel Glen Falls, Pennell Falls, and three additional, unnamed falls.
Niagara of Pennsylvania, Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone State's most famous scenic attractions.
Unfortunately I couldn't take a video of bushkill in spring. Next year hopefully :)

Closed November - Mid -April. Opening for the season end april to october.
Our family enjoyed walking the trails around the falls (there were different trails to choose from to accommodate different fitness levels and amount of time you have to spend there). Nice photo opportunities along the trails!!

This is a short video showing Bushkill Falls Pennsylvania. It is located in the Poconos right above stroudsburg. Its a very cool place to visit. I took the red trail which is about 2 hours long and 4-5 miles. Its about 70% uphill. I wish i couldve stayed longer, but i made the mistake of not brining a drink with me! XD. So i ran out to my car and drank a pepsi and two water bottles within 2 minutes. Actually i was so thirsty at one point i drank some water from the falls! Haha. If your wondering there is a spot where you can go down and see the bottom of the falls which is where i drank from, then some people gave me a funny look. I didnt even get sick lol

Bushkill Falls PA - Niagara of PA and perfect family day from NYC
We had an awesome day doing the yellow trail hike at Bushkill Falls in Poconos, PA this week. It was an easy 45 minute hike our two four year olds tolerated well. We tried out the piggyback rider for the first time to carry our 45 pound daughter and it was pretty great. Later we did mini golf, mining for gems and played around on their playground. It was a great 1.5 drive from NYC and gave us a nice taste of nature. This is probably the biggest waterfall near NYC.

Trout Fishing Pennsylvania's Bushkill Creek
Flowing through several cities in Eastern Pennsylvania Bushkill Creek is heavily stocked by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. Stocked over several miles of water the creek is stuffed with mostly rainbow trout, but has some brook, brown and golden rainbows, too. Armed with Natural Deluxe, Pink Shrimp, Fire Bait and Fire Balls we spent an evening fishing after work targeting trout here. See how we did in this episode of Pautzke Outdoors!

Best Hike For Waterfalls in Pennsylvania
Ricketts Glen is the best place to see waterfalls in Pennsylvania. With 2 trails totaling 7 miles with 23 waterfalls. My daughter and I hike the entire length and have a rest at Lake Jean. We visited Poconos on 20th Oct Weekend, which seems 2-3 weeks early. unfortunately we didn't see the fall colors at there. We have uploaded this video on Nov 9.
The Pocono Mountains area is very beautiful and has awesome greenery.

Pocono Mountains is the best place to visit during summer time also. We will definitely visit here again. This is quick 3 minutes video of our one day trip.
The Pocono Mountains, or Poconos, encompass forested peaks, lakes and valleys in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. On the eastern edge is the bird-rich Delaware Water Gap, with river beaches and recreation facilities. Trails and bridges connect the waterfalls at nearby Bushkill Falls. Resorts dot the area, many with ski runs and water parks. Boat launches offer access to fishing in Lake Wallenpaupack to the north.
