Seabright Beach To The Pier By Drone
Seabright Beach is a popular sandy beach next to Santa Cruz Main Beach in Santa Cruz, CA. Seabright Beach is on state-owned property in that is part of Twin Lakes State Beach. It spans a wide stretch of sand from the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor entrance to a narrow natural rock wall that juts out into the surf at the mouth of the San Lorenzo River. At the bottom of this rock wall is a small rock arch opening that lets river water pass through. Shifting sand sometimes closes up the arch, but at times it’s possible to crawl through and wade the river water to reach Main Beach. People are no longer allowed to walk the trail on top of this narrow fin, but many locals jump the fence and go out on the rock wall despite the “area closed” signs. There is a park on East Cliff Drive where you can take in the view of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk Amusement Park, Main Beach, and Seabright Beach. The Walton Lighthouse is at the end of the Santa Cruz Breakwater where a paved walking path allows you to walk out and look back at Seabright Beach. Info provided by californiabeaches.com

California Groove by Renzo Rosso
California Groove is available at:

California,
I got the coast one night by chance,
‘cause when sailing in the sea storm
my girl threw me out of the boat.
So California,
my shipwrecking aid to survive,
by rocking my dismal sorrow,
realizing me to be alive.
Sweet is the night that’s driving my troubles far away
by all those surfers sailing across the bays of
California.
After landing I’ll never move,
I came too far from my country,
but finally I got my groove.
Sweet California,
you descended rigth from my dream,
when surfing throughout the sea waves
I couldn’t keep away to scream.
Sweet is the down in summer cause we just found the way,
sweet is to sail together across the bays of
California.
After landing I’ll never move,
I came so far from my people,
but finally I got my groove.
So finally I got my groove.

1926 Historic Schooner Sailboat the Curlew Slams a Commercial Catamaran in Dana Point Harbor Tsunami
The tsunami waters rushed out or the harbor so fast it snapped the lines of the Curlew, a 1926 Historic Schooner Sail Boat. The Curlew slammed into a nearby Catamaran as soon as it broke free. Earlier the Curlew rammed the pilon on the dock snapping it in half while trying to dock in the harbor during a tsunami warning. No one was hurt, but the boat was forced to leave the harbor until the tsnami subsided. The broken pilon can be seen on the lower right of the video. Neither vessel suffered significant damage, but it was pretty chaotic for a few moments while the crew of tried to secure their boats.
Above Steamer Lane By [[4K]] Drone
Steamer Lane is a famous surfing location in Santa Cruz, California. It is just off a point on the side of cliffs in the West Cliff residential area near downtown Santa Cruz, providing easy access and a good vantage point for viewing. The Santa Cruz Surfing Museum is housed in a lighthouse there. Steamer Lane is the preferred form of the name used by the people surfing there. Steamer Lane was named by Claude Horan while he was a student at San Jose State in the late 1930s. One flat calm day he and his friend Wes Hammond thought it would be a good idea to hire steamships to cruise back and forth to generate waves for surfing. It was at Steamer Lane that the modern surfing wetsuit and the leash were mainly developed by Jack O'Neill, who had his surf shop nearby for many years and lost his eye at Steamer Lane.
Santa Cruz has 11 surf breaks, including the point breaks over rock bottoms near Steamer Lane and Pleasure Point. Home to the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum at Steamer Lane, which continues to be staffed by docents from the Santa Cruz Surfing Club who have surfed Santa Cruz waves since the 1930s, Santa Cruz hosts several surf contests drawing international participants each year, including the O'Neill Cold Water Classic, the International Longboard Association contest, and many others. Santa Cruz is well known for watersports such as sailing, diving, swimming, paddling, and surfing. However, Steamer Lane has also seen animosity between local surfers and surf kayakers as the two groups seek to share waves. (Wiki info)
