The Anlong Veng Peace Tour program is a community reconciliation initiative aimed at
bridging the divide between former Khmer Rouge cadre (KR) in their last stronghold
(Anlong Veng) and Cambodia’s younger generation. The intent of the program is to provide an
educational platform for the study (and mitigation) of human conflict
as well as to encourage
greater civic engagement.

Cycling from Siem Reap to the Ancient Cliff-Side Temple of Preah Vihear in Cambodia
Besides being a recent flashpoint between Thai and Cambodian military, Prasat Preah Vihear is one of Cambodia's most spectacular temples. Preah Vihear is a Khmer temple situated atop a 640-metre cliff in the Dângrêk Mountains, in the Preah Vihear province of northern Cambodia. Built in the 9th-century, Preah Vihear has served as a temple and fortress. The temple as been largely off-limits over the past 40 years due to the heavy presence of landmines in the region (still a major issue in Cambodia) and occupation by Khmer Rouge, Thai and Vietnamese military forces. While the Thai border remains closed due to an on-going border dispute, visitors can make the journey to Prasat Preah Vihear via the Cambodian countryside.
On November 2, 2009 I loaded up my bike and set off from Siem Reap on my own modern day pilgrimage. My route took my through Kulen Prum Tep Wildlife Sanctuary, Anlong Veng (Pol Pot's final refuge), and remote sections of Preah Vihear province before ending in Tbaeng Meanchey. I had planned to continue east toward Stung Treng on some beautiful trails, but unfortunately injured my knee after riding to the top of Prasat Preah Vihear and had to cut the trip short.

JUNGLE GUARD is a documentary film that portrays the life of a unique Buddhist monk community that has voluntarily assumed the role of protector of a large parcel of natural forest and its indigenous wildlife, fish and related resources. The forest, known as the Monk Commune Forest, is located in Anlong Veng district, the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge rebel army and its surviving leaders, in Cambodia’s Oddar Meanchey province.

PTWRC is dedicated to helping and caring for animals who have been subjected to the illegal wildlife trade. The animals that are saved by the Wildlife Rapid Rescue Team are relocated to our center and each individual is assessed for release based on their health and strength to survive independently.
Animals deemed healthy and capable of life in the wild are immediately released into the forests protected by Wildlife Alliance and Forestry Administration. If release is not an option they are given a permanent home at PTWRC.
Certain animals need guidance before they are able live safely in the forest on their own. These individuals are relocated to our Wildlife Rehabilitation Station (WRS). Here they are given the tools they need to successfully provide for themselves in the wild.

Weekend Trip to Stung Treng Province | Travel on Sekong Bridge to Mekong Bird Resort
We traveled to Stung Treng Province on 25th March 2017 from Phnom Penh city crossing Kandal province, Prey Veng Province, Kratie Province, and finally is Stung Treng province. It was River Festival in the province from 23-26 March 2017. It's 403.7 Km. from Phnom Penh to Stung Treng province. We spent nearly 8hrs to get there as we have to stop along the road for pee pee and poo poo and lunch break at Chlong district in Kratie province. We left Phnom Penh at 6:30am and we got to Krong Stung Treng at around 2:30pm. It was hot so we continue to see the sand island Koh Khsach alittle bit and drove over Sekong bridge to Mekong Bird resort. It's a beautiful resort and restaurant by the river decorated with gardens and jars. They have rooms to stay, camping, restaurant, and boat tour to island. It's a beautiful resort in Stung Treng Province.

Visit Archaeological Site in Prey Veng Province
We arrived Krong Prey Veng the first time ever in life, a beautiful and quiet town in Cambodia. I walked around taking some photos and video of landmark of Prey Veng Town and continued to Chong Porm (End of Tower), a relaxing place to view the landscape of river and rice fields. We left Chong Porm heading to Toul Baray Andeth Archaeological Site which is about 15km. from town on a highland (the surrounded fields are flooded in rainy season except this hill). I flew drone showing the site and the hill also the longest boat that's keeping nearby this archaeological site. It's a beautiful tourism site in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia.

First night was single tracks through the holy mountains of Kulen National Park with their own private camping spot beside a river . Day 2 was offroad to the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge, Anlong Veng to stay the night at a lux casino not far from the grave of Pol Pot & the International border crossing with Thailand on the Dangrek Escarpment. Third day was on to the border temple of Ta Muean, a remote forgotten temple in SamRong, eating & staying locally in the town, before 4th day riding back to base in Siem Reap, on the road to #Angkor . Also caught bad guys in action the forest, to those people who have bad attention, kill the wild oxen, giant lizards in forest.
Blessing the giant python back to the forest, planting the forest, putting the sign to advice people to love the forest and love the environment.
