Nitt Witt Ridge: Touring Cambria's Folk Art Landmark
Nitt Witt Ridge is an awesome historic landmark on California's central coast in the town of Cambria. This house was built and tinkered on from 1928 till the 1970s. The property was sold in the '90s, but you can still tour it for $10 most days. For more information on when the tours will be, call 805-927-2690 as there is no website.

On our way to the shine vegan cafe, I hear about two good things we are going down here and she was paddling and she was doing laydown paddleboarding. then we are on the witty call this thing Suri and we are taking a little ride. It's a lot more difficult than we thought no. Here is a nice beach too there's a lot of stands.

Morro Bay: The perfect spot to ignite your senses
Morro Bay—a waterfront city in San Luis Obispo county, California—has a long history of fishing and holidaying. It's been a beach destination for vacationers since the early 20th century, for very good reasons.
Get your tastebuds excited on fresh and sustainably caught seafood, like oysters that have been harvested locally for many decades. Breathe in the fresh sea air at the several beaches in and around Morro Bay, and cruise along the coastline in a kayak or on a standup paddleboard.
Wildlife watching (and listening) is easy at the Morro Bay Estuary Natural Reserve, an 800-acre wetland that's home to 250 bird species, and you can spot peregrine falcons at Morro Rock. If you're looking for marine life, there are around 60 sea otters that frequent the Morro Bay harbor, and you'll likely find sea lions sunbathing on the beach in nearby San Simeon.
Wherever you are in Morro Bay or the surrounding SLO CAL spots, your senses will be sure to thank you.

Randsburg - California Ghost Towns | California Travel Tips
California Travel Tips host Veronica Hill heads into the Mojave Desert to check out Randsburg Ghost Town.
Located in Kern County along scenic Highway 395, Randsburg is one of California's few living ghost towns, home to approximately 80 residents.
The Rand Mining District was established in 1895, when gold was discovered in the Rand mountains. It's estimated that Randsburg produced more than $60 million in gold during its boom. There also was plenty of tungsten ore and silver. One of the most productive gold mines was the Yellow Aster, which yielded $25 million between 1895 and 1933.
Be sure to check out the Randsburg Jail, located at the entrance to Randsburg, then head inside the Rand Desert Museum, where you'll find mining exhibits, memorabilia and artifacts from the Rand Mining District. Be sure to say hi to curator J. Bart Parker, and tell him we said hello!
Most of Randsburg's surviving Old West buildings are located along Butte Avenue. The Santa Barbara Catholic Church dates back to 1904, but the first church was built here in 1897. The Randsburg Post Office dates back to 1896. On holidays, local thespians don period costumes for plays and melodramas at the Randsburg Opera House.
The Randsburg General Store is the hub of action in Randsburg, especially during the fall when the weather cools off and ATV riders arrive. You have to order the Black Bart. It's a signature item here! Built in 1896 as the Jones Drug Store, this popular hangout is a huge draw for tourists who fuel up on burgers and sandwiches, washed down with a phosphate soda. The building still has its original tin ceilings, light fixtures and soda fountain dating back to 1904.
For a bit of wild west nostalgia, head into the White House Saloon, which hosted miners, cowboys, Indians and clampers during the boom years; or check out The Joint, a local watering hole that's been here since the 1950s.
If you want to stay the night, Goat's Sky Ranch is a B&B with miner's cabin rentals, or you can check into the Randsburg Inn , which sits on the former site of the Orpheum Theater, My Place Dance Hall and Commercial Hotel.
One thing to consider — Randsburg literally becomes a ghost town during the week. The best time to visit is on the weekend, when most businesses are operating.

Cambria Co. discount store managers accused of pocketing $140k

MUNDYS CORNER, Pa. -- Two Cambria County women spent a short time in prison Thursday morning as they were arraigned on a series of theft charges, accused of stealing a large amount of cash from a local discount store. Combined police said they're accused of taking more than $140,000 while they worked as managers at Direct Value Outlet in Mundys Corner. Police are calling it a false refund scheme. They said the women pretended to return merchandise and then pocketed the cash.The owner of Direct Value Outlet said both of these women worked as managers at her store for several years. She said they were the only ones with keys to the registers and two of the people she trusted most that turned against her. Things just didn't seem right and my husband kept saying, 'Something's wrong, something's wrong', said Marlene Krens. I said, 'No, those girls would never do anything'. Krens said she finally realized something wasn't right when the money being brought in to Direct Value Outlet didn't seem to match the abundance of sales being made. I was watching the parking lot and we were packed and the numbers just didn't match with being packed, said Krens. So I pulled the paperwork and we started going down through it and we discovered it. According to court documents, the alleged scheme began in November 2009 and continued through September of this year. Audit reports say Kimberly McCachren was able to pocket about $55,000 in those four years, Ronda Garver nearly $60,000. The two together are accused of pocketing an additional $16,000. They were returning fictitious merchandise for cash and we don't give cash refunds. We don't do refunds, we do credit slips, said Krens. When we started looking down through there were refunds for $150, $200 and $300. But Krens said it's not only the store that's suffered from the thefts. The real victims are their fellow employees, said Krens. They got their hours cut because the numbers were down and here it was because of the theft not because of the numbers the stores were doing. Moving forward, Krens said she's confident her customers will help the store bounce back, but said she'll be more cautious and less trusting of those she hires. It's a slap in the face, said Krens .You treat these people like they're a good friend and I just won't do it again.Garver and McCachren were in prison Thursday morning, but only to be arraigned. They were both released on unsecured bail.
