Walt Disney World Fort Wilderness Campground & Resort Tour | Golf Cart Tour, Pool & Food Locations
In today's vlog we head to Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for the last of our Disney Resort Tour series. We rented a golf cart, which was so much fun! It cost us about $60 and was a 24 hour rental. Because the resort grounds are so expansive we decided that the best way to tour the entire resort was by cart. We explored all of the pool locations, comfort stations and food outposts. There are so many great food locations at this resort! Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, Trails End, P&J's Southern Takeout, and Crockett's. We ate at P&J's Southern takeout and it wasn't bad! The ribs were pretty good. We also checked out the RV campgrounds and the tent camping spots. It looked pretty nice and we'll definitely be camping here in the future! We to Tri Circle D Ranch and saw all the horses and ponies, one of the coolest parts of the resort!

Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake Campground ORLANDO FL & The Wizarding World - Cheap RV Living
Bill Frederick Park is only 4 miles from Universal Studios in Orlando Florida. We include a full drive through of the campground. We love the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! We spend a day exploring Diagon Alley (Universal) and Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure). This campground is also only 16 miles from Walt Disney World. There are no toll roads from Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake to either Universal Studios, Disney World or SeaWorld. We highly recommend this campground as a weekend trip, full week, or even longer. It is beautiful, well taken care of, and close to everything you need such as grocery stores and restaurants. It is gated and safe. The lake has fishing, boating (no swimming) but there is a seasonal pool for swimming. The facilities are clean including laundry room and the dump station is right on the way out of the camping area. This is the least expensive campground we have found in Florida and it is a gem. Max stay of 45 days in one year. Good alternative if you cannot afford or get reservations at Fort Wilderness, also.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground Tour RV Full Time
Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort and campground overview.
Walt Disney World Fort Wilderness Resort and campground has been open since the 1971. It is 700 acres, has 799 Campsites and 409 Cabins.
link for 2017 Rates
When you enter the campground, on the far right there is an area for overflow parking. Fun fact about this is that you can park here if you arrive early the day of check in and utilize the campground amenities and Disney’s theme parks, you can also do this the day of check out up until midnight. It was a nice way to get the most out of our stay
Let head on over to our Campsite
This particular site is a premium Campsite. At our Campsite there is a large concrete pad, with room to park our RV, car, golf cart and more as well as a picnic table and a grill.
We even left room behind the RV for my workouts (which I should add only happened one day while we were there)
One thing to mention is Disney does allow firepits at your campsite as long as they are completely contained.
These sites offer full hook ups as well as have wifi access which was good enough for basic internet use.
And as you see here the campsites are staggered to allow for privacy.
Trash and recycling is conveniently available throughout the campground.
Each camping loop has a comfort station, with pristine bathrooms and showers. Each shower is clean with a small private changing area. And the showers have really hot water, which is always great to find at a campground.
In the comfort stations there is also laundry. There are vending machines for laundry products. There is even an app you can even use that will tell you the time remaining on your washer/dryer. And leave your change in your RV! You can only pay with a debit or credit card.
Let’s head over to the dog park. There is golf cart parking there. A large fenced area with a few obstacles for the dogs. Bring the kids too because there is an adjacent playground and volleyball court.
Our campsite was 1.5 miles from the dog park. If your looking for loops that are within close walking distance, consider Cypress Knee Circle or Buffalo Bend. We were told when we were there that the entire campground is now pet friendly rather than just certain loops as it was previously.
Let’s head on over to the Fort Marina. This was the waterfront. There was plenty of bike and golf cart parking. Here there is a sandy beach and boat rentals, as well as a stand for refreshments. This is also where you can take a boat ride to Fort Wilderness Lodge, The Contemporary or the Magic Kingdom.
At the Fort Marina there are several places to enjoy food and refreshments. P&Js Southern Takeout is a Quick Service Takeout and Trails end is in the same building which has a breakfast and dinner buffet. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies the chefs at these restaurants are quite accommodating. The Hoop de doo review dinner show is also in this area at Pioneer hall.
The Meadow Trading post is another store that had similar item and also had some RV specific items such as tank pods, toilet paper, sewer hoses in case you may need them.
Near the meadow trading post there were recreational activities available such as shuffleboard, archery, and an area for scheduled movie nights and canoeing.
At the meadow was the main pool and snack bar. This is one of the busier pools most of the time as it has a waterslide and a DJ there playing music and games with the children.
There is a Kiddie play area that was under refurbishment at the time.
The Tri-Circle D-Ranch was where we took horses out. I was a little nervous getting on one as it was my first time anywhere near a horse. Gus was pretty well behaved, thankfully!!
Other than RV sites there are primitive camping sites on the property. With nearby comfort stations. I decided to take a little break just doing what I do while Kenny was filming.
There are also tent camping sites available with electric, water, picnic tables and grills if that’s more your speed. And over 400 air-conditioned cabins available in their own cabin loops.

Walt Disney World - Disney's Wilderness Lodge - Full Tour (2019)
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a AAA Four-Diamond Award–winning resort hotel located at the Walt Disney World Resort. It opened on May 28, 1994. The resort is owned and operated by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area on Bay Lake. The resort is also located near Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. A similarly-themed resort, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, is located at the Disneyland Resort in California.
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, originally The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, a Disney Vacation Club timeshare resort on the site, were announced in 1998, and the property first accepted guests in November 2000. The Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are adjacent to Disney's Wilderness Lodge, whose design is based on the National Park lodges of America's western states. The Vacation Club Villas are themed to the antecedent lodgings built by workers on the transcontinental railroad in the late 19th century. The main building for the villas has railroad artwork and memorabilia on display, including two train cars from Walt Disney's ridable miniature Carolwood Pacific Railroad. The accommodations include Studio units with a kitchenette, as well as one and two-bedroom villas with a larger kitchen and living space. In late 2015, Disney began an extensive building project to expand the Villas with waterside units similar to those found over the water at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, as well as recreation and dining facilities.
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge opened in summer 2017 as the second DVC property at the resort, which consists of 26 Cascade Cabins which were built along the shoreline of the resort, and the entire South wing of the original resort building, which was converted from regular hotel rooms to 158 DVC units.
The Walt Disney World Resort, also called Walt Disney World and Disney World, is an entertainment complex in Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista, Florida, in the United States, near the cities Orlando and Kissimmee. Opened on October 1, 1971, the resort is owned and operated by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, a division of The Walt Disney Company. It was first operated by Walt Disney World Company. The property, which covers nearly 25,000 acres (39 sq mi; 101 km2), only half of which has been used, comprises four theme parks (consisting of Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios), two water parks, twenty-seven themed resort hotels, nine non-Disney hotels, several golf courses, a camping resort, and other entertainment venues, including the outdoor shopping center Disney Springs.

Make-A-Wish Trip To Disney World In Orlando Florida (Give Kids The World)
My daughter has been through a lot recently due to her diagnosis of Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele. Last year she had three very extensive surgeries. As such, we took her to Disney World in Orlando Florida for a week. It wasn't just any vacation, though, she qualified for Make-A-Wish, which is a program that grants a wish for a child with a life-threatening illness. They go above and beyond to ensure the wish child has the time of their life. My family and I cannot thank the Make-A-Wish program enough -- this was truly a dream come true.

Motorhome Dashcam - Walt Disney World Ft Wilderness Site #847 Orlando FL
Partial video of us leaving site #847 on the Fort Wilderness 800 loop (Jack Rabbit Way) in a 43' tag axle motorhome. If you have never been to WDW Fort Wilderness this video should give some idea of what its like driving a big rig there. Some sites at Disney's Fort Wilderness can be a challenge for a big rig. The campground loop roads are somewhat narrow but not bad in and of themselves. The main issue is vehicles or carts that are hanging out into the road. Trees and other obstacles also make it challenging to get into some sites. Site 847 was very easy to back in and pull out with our 43' tag axle motorhome. If the white car across from us was hanging into the road, I probably would have had to back up slightly to make the swing - there was a large pine tree on my passenger side I needed to clear. Note, this was my first dashcam video and I did not have it configured correctly to capture all the action, sorry about that!
Creekside Meadow Primitive Group Camping Fort Wilderness Campground Orlando Fl Disney World Scouts
Fort Wilderness Campground has a primitive campsite area called Creekside Meadow. It is a primitive campsite area and will remain unchanged. This area is for use by scout troops, schools and other group campers. You may rent tents and cots for groups of 20 or more using Creekside Meadow. Individuals have rented equipment before although this is not their policy, they do rent equipment to individuals if they have it available and a group hasn't already made arrangements to rent it. Tents are $30 per night, cots are $4 per night. If you stay in Creekside Meadow, the cost is $10 per person (20 person minimum). For group reservations, call (407) 939-7807 Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
