CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE, MASSACHUSETTS
Driving and Visiting one of the most popular travel destinations in the NE USA.
In the video also a very unusual Air Station where you can adjust tire pressure to be able to drive on the beach BUT you must have a 4x4 vehicle to do it safely. This is NOT Daytona Beach, FL where ANY vehicle with ANY type of tires (oversized with very low tread included, my case) can do it very safely.

At the end of the video a visit to a Cape Cod Lighthouse AND the sound of the Atlantic Ocean.

Boston To Cape cod, Massachusetts
Cape Cod is a geographic cape extending into the Atlantic Ocean from the southeastern corner of mainland Massachusetts, in the northeastern United States. Its historic, maritime character and ample beaches attract heavy tourism during the summer months.
As defined by the Cape Cod Commission's enabling legislation, Cape Cod is conterminous with Barnstable County, Massachusetts. It extends from Provincetown in the northeast to Woods Hole in the southwest and is bordered by Plymouth to the northwest.
Since 1914, most of Cape Cod has been separated from the mainland by the Cape Cod Canal. The canal cuts 7 miles (11 km) roughly across the base of the peninsula, though small portions of the Cape Cod towns of Bourne and Sandwich lie on the mainland side of the canal. Two highway bridges cross the Cape Cod Canal: the Sagamore Bridge and the Bourne Bridge. In addition, the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge carries railway freight and limited passenger services onto the Cape. Cape territory is divided into 15 towns with many villages.

Three Bicycle Trails ~ Cape Cod Massachusetts
We had a blast riding our Mountain Bikes on our vacation down at Cape Cod.
We explored three different Bike Trails.
September 20, 2016 we rode our bikes on the Old Colony Rail Trail and the CCRT - Cape Cod Rail Trail starting in Harwich down to Nickerson State Park in Brewster. It poured on us. We do not have rain gear for our bikes. We made the best of it. The trails were paved in a wooded area. We saw Cranberry bogs and ponds..it was a great ride. Nickerson State Park had some huge hills to ride up and down. It was difficult for me,, I had to walk my bike up a few hills. This was a 21 mile bike ride,, the longest one I have done since getting my Mountain Bike Mid June 2016.
September 22, 2016 we rode our bikes on the Province Lands Bicycle Trail. We parked at the Provincetown Visitor Center. I absolutely loved this Bike Trail. You ride on a paved trail through the Sand Dunes.. WOW what a fun and beautiful bike ride. We rode out to Herring Cove, Race Point and Bennett Pond. It is marked as a Challenging Bike Path,, and it was. We rode 12 miles.
September 23, 2016 we rode our bikes on the Head of the Meadows Bicycle Trail. The trails are paved but very bumpy. It was a pretty ride but short.. only 2 miles out and 2 miles back.
We had a great time biking on Cape Cod.

Meet Peat!: Cape Cod National Seashore
This video was created for Penn State's GEOSC 010 course ( with the assistance of Richard Alley and the John A. Dutton e-Education Institute (
Cape Cod is a gift of the glaciers. The numerous kettle ponds left by the ice contribute to the biodiversity of the Cape, but are slowly filling in with sand, peat, and other things. Many of the ponds have already filled, and a walk along the rapidly eroding outer beach often reveals where the sea has cut into one of these filled ponds. In this next clip, Dr. Alley shows one such exposed, filled kettle pond, just below the old Coast Guard station in the Nauset region of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Marconi Beach on Cape Cod National Seashore,Massachusetts,Atlantic Ocean.
Marconi Beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore in Massachusetts. The beach is named for Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi. In 1903, the first transatlantic wireless communication originating in the United States was successfully transmitted from nearby Marconi Station, a message from U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom.
There is a broad, sweeping view of the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Cod Bay from the overlook atop the steep sand cliff above the beach. The National Park Service has built a display on-site that describes the history of wireless telegraphy .
Marconi Beach is popular among locals and tourists. It is one of the relatively few Cape Cod national seashore beaches that are on the ocean side of the Cape, generally providing a better surf than beaches on the bay side. Harbor Seals can frequently be seen in the waters at Marconi Beach

Camping and Photography – Cape Cod National Seashore
A weekend camping and landscape photography trip to Cape Cod National Seashore, such a beautiful place. Large sand dunes and lots of sandy shores, perfect for long exposures.
I was there camping for 2 nights, not enough time though. The day started off great nice and sunny and quickly turned to rain. At least I got a chance to explore the seashore and I will make another trip out there again soon hopefully for some better light.
Thanks for watching, stay tuned for more videos. Peace.
