Somehow my waterproof GoPro Hero 5 got water in the lens so, video is foggy. Got some Calico/Silver Surfperch & one Striped Seaperch. Was using shrimp & sand crabs, but changed it up later with a Berkley Gulp Sandworm which produced the Silver Perch.
- Surfperch Setup:
Reel - Penn Battle II 3000
Rod - Okuma Celilo Salmon & Steelhead Spinning Rod (CE-S-902MHa)
Main Line is 20lb Piscifun Braid (used 10lb mono in this video)
Leader is 15lb P-Line Floroclear Clear
2oz River Weight (Disc Weight)
Size 2 baitholder hooks, brand/type varies. If I use Berkley Gulp Sandworms I sometimes use Rebarb Hooks.
I use a High-Low Rig, but sometimes I use a Carolina Rig.

Reel - Shimano Sienna FD Spinning Reel 4000 (discontinued, but RD version is out... might can find FD online)
Rod - Shakespeare Wild Series Spinning Rod (8'6 Medium Heavy - 2pcs)
Lure - Lucky Craft Fishing Lure CIF Flash Minnow 110 California Inshore Fishing
Usually I use the same line/leader as above.

The reason we were down here in the first pace is because we went to see Alex and funeral.. It was reliving our passing of elijah. Truly Difficult!

HEAVY SHOREBREAK IN MONTEREY BAY! CAMPING AND SURFING IN WATSONVILLE, CALIFORNIA
What's up guys! This week we headed out to Central Monterey Bay for a little camping and surfing. We had a load of fun and caught a ton of waves. Not much to say this week other than we were super stoked on this trip, as the footage will show. Thanks for watching! Yew!

Beautiful drive through constantly changing scenery, the ocean and sand dunes one minute and farms with markets the next. By the way the strawberry fields were unreal, driving along on the interstate at 110 - 120 kph and with the windows down the fragrance of the ripening strawberries was overwhelming.
We stopped at a roadside market and bought more fresh fruit. We get California strawberries in our grocery stores but they don't taste like the ones we got there. Watermelons $1,99 each and strawberries $7.99 a flat...
Travel a few more miles and another beach.. San Francisco is maybe 35 - 40 miles ahead.
