By far one of my favorite places in Cochise County. I am most often there shooting stars. The Galaxy is amazing from up here. Drive safely and always be on the lookout for parked cars and pedestrians.

As Amsterdam is so flat the first thing I noticed when I got here to Sierra Vista, Arizona is the mountains everywhere! I wanted to do something special with you today and take you up on of the many canyons located here, I would have never thought I would be climbing mountains while here in Arizona.
Carr Canyon is part of the Coronado National Forest in order to get to it you have to follow Carr Canyon Road, the only road into the upper reaches of the Huachuca Range. This narrow, winding road was built at the turn of the century to open up the Carr Reef to gold and silver mining.
Although we did not make it all the way to the top to the actual Carr Canyon Waterfall but we did still make it pretty high up and I def was exhausted.

This is not the top of the big one that you see from the road. But if you hike from the top of the big one up, then you would be below one shown near old gold and silver mine. No copious amount of any mineral was discovered in this region.

I think I sped up the cloud way too fast. It don't look calming but tense. Hmmm. Did you notice that sun reflection? Perimeter Trail Sierra Vista AZ Trail head to gate
Taking an easy ride from Miller Canyon trail head to the Carr Canyon Trail head on the Perimeter trail in the Huachuca Mountains. This particular video starts from the trail head and ends about thirty seconds from the gate that is on the trail. Keep in mind I am not the world's greatest Mountain Biker.

Teen dies after fight outside middle school
A 13-year old girl from Attucks Middle School ended up on life support at Texas Children's Hospital two days after a fight off campus.
Kashala Francis' mother, Mamie Jackson, says her daughter told her she was attacked by two girls after school on Thursday, and that another girl later jumped in and kicked her in the head.
Jackson says when her daughter returned home Thursday afternoon, she had a bruise on her face, but insisted she was okay.
