Solar Eco Cruise in Mendocino
The Solar Eco Cruise is conducted aboard a unique 9 person redwood outrigger canoe designed by Rick Hemmings of Catch a Canoe, and constructed by Bob Cummings of Canoetri. The pilot sits in the small hull so that a clear line of sight is always maintained, while also providing unparallelled stability. A roller furling downwind sail is employed to travel upriver, with the reliable north westerly winds providing the propulsion. Human power and carbon bent shaft paddles are used in lull areas as needed. On the return a six horse power Torqueedo electric motor, powered by a 24 volt battery system, is range extended using a solar panel array by Powerfilm. The boat's name is Solar Wind and operates on Big River Estuary in Mendocino, California. River otters, harbor seals, a variety of bird life are often seen during the 8 mile, 2.5 hour journey. Guided tours are available through Catch a Canoe and Bicycles Too, and can be reserved at catchacanoe.com

Authors@Google: Carole Terwilliger Meyers
Carole Terwilliger Meyers visits Google to present her book Weekend Adventures in San Francisco and Northern California. This event took place on Jul 21, 2009, as part of the Authors@Google series.
Life is a journey. Here to help you escape the bumps and enjoy the ride through Northern California is the thoroughly revised 8th edition of WEEKEND ADVENTURES IN SAN FRANCISCO & NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
Award-winning author Carole Terwilliger Meyers, who published the first edition of her book in 1977, invites you to visit the vast array of vacation wonders in Northern California. You can spend the night in a coastal lighthouse, play chess on one of the two largest chessboards in the United States, and pan for gold in an authentic Gold Rush river. WEEKEND ADVENTURES has something for everyone--from weekend warriors anxious to test their mettle to world-weary slugabeds who want breakfast brought to them on a tray.
Weighing in at almost 1 1/2 pounds, WEEKEND ADVENTURES is packed with interesting places to visit: the Santa Cruz mountains, the coast south to Morro Bay and north to Eureka, the Wine Country, the Russian River area, Sacramento and the Delta, Highway 101 north and south, the national parks, the Gold Rush Country, Lake Tahoe, and the Mt. Shasta area. San Francisco and the Bay Area--including the East Bay, Marin, and the Peninsula--are also detailed. Former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown says, Ms. Meyers love for the City and her familiarity with its abundant charms are evident in each entry.
Each destination includes information on what to do, where to stay, and where to eat. Helpful extras include the most direct driving route and interesting stops along the way. Details on family amenities are provided with each listing, and the text is filled with intriguing historical tidbits and unusual facts. Additional chapters are devoted to ski areas, family camps, houseboats, river and pack trips, and assorted other adventures.

Welcome to
The Total Domestic Gross Output of Finance and Insurance industry in 2014 was $2.18 trillion. This was a 4.88% increase over 2013 with $2.08 trillion in output. From 2008 to 2014 the industry had growth of 10.2% with $1.97 trillion in output in 2008. The sector experienced a 6.34% decline in the recession of 2009 and only returned to 2008 numbers in mid-2013. This sector took a huge hit in all areas during the recession of 2009. By most measures, except employment, the sector returned to health in 2013. The sector continues to grow and will grow further throughout this decade unless we witness another housing bust, China’s economy cools further, global terrorism is heightened, or consumer spending weakens, or a combination of all of those factors. For communities that have the right mix of talent and sites and buildings the Finance and Insurance sector is the perfect to try to attract and grow. See full list of Media Credits There’s a misconception that people file bankruptcy at the drop of a hat or when they still have other options. The reality for most is quite different. Some drain assets, such as their retirement accounts, that could have been protected from creditors in bankruptcy. People throw good money after bad until they have no money left to seek relief. A major pre-war industry was the Ontario's General Electric plant that produced clothing irons. During and after World War II, Ontario experienced a housing boom common to many suburbs. The expansion of the Southern California defense industry attracted many settlers to the city. Today, Ontario still has a manufacturing industry, the most notable of which are Maglite, which produces flashlights there. However, manufacturing has waned, and today Ontario's economy is dominated by service industries and warehousing. Major distribution centers are operated by companies such as AutoZone, Cardinal Health, MBM, Genuine Parts/NAPA, and Nordstrom. Better Qualified works closely with collections attorneys to comb through all of your 3rd party collections in search of violations. When an account is sold to a 3rd party, often times the collection company will violate set regulations. This leaves the consumer paying more than they have to or paying for something that isn’t theirs. Our collection attorneys have not only gotten 3rd party and medical collections removed from our clients reports, but have also succeeded in obtaining cash settlements for some clients as well. Better Qualified has helped thousands build, manage, and monitor their credit since 2006. Our staff of credit experts works diligently to help people build credit through secured credit cards. Secured credit cards require that people put a down payment as collateral, so that they can build their credit risk free. Better Qualified has developed a proven credit management program that will help you manage your credit and save money. The Better Qualified credit management process guarantees the best results.

Trump Impeachment Trial: Q&A begins (Day 8)
With opening arguments wrapped up in President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, the next phase begins. For the next two days, senators get to ask questions of both legal teams. During that time, people will be looking for signs of whether enough Republicans will cross the aisle and agree to bring in witnesses -- particularly former national security adviser John Bolton.
