In this video, I'm doing an amazing hike to Cathedral Lakes in the Tuolumne Meadows area of Yosemite National Park. This hike is labeled as moderate being 8-miles long and 1000 ft of elevation gain. Most people hike to only Lower Cathedral Lake because it labeled along the trail on how to get there. In this video, I actually visit Lower and Upper Cathedral Lakes plus totally show you how to get there. Join us in Yosemite National Park for a 3-episode adventure as we section hike the John Muir Trail from Tuolumne Meadows to the Happy Isles trailhead in Yosemite Valley. Part 1 takes us from Tuolumne Meadows to Upper Cathedral Lake. We have lunch with a park ranger and discuss sustainable leather along the way.

Video was shot on a Sony a6500 + Rode video mic + SmallHD Focus + Manfrotto tri-pod w/ video head, and a GoPro Hero 6 + Removu S1 gimbal. Footage was edited in Adobe Premiere w/ animation from Adobe After Effects.
The acoustic guitar is a Larrivee OM-40 in CGCGGC tuning, and the percussion is a Schlagwerk Bass Cajon and Cajinto with egg shakers. All instruments were recorded on a Zoom H6 and mixed using Avid Pro Tools First.

Yosemite National Park's Gaylor Lake Trail
This hike is at Yosemite National Park right at the Tioga pass entrance. It's a little bit strenuous but a very rewarding 2 mile round trip hike. This is one of the most beautiful lakes I've seen in Yosemite.

Hey beautiful people of YouTube just hiking one of the coolest parks in the United States. This trip was a blast cause not only was it my first time at Yosemite, I was sharing this experience with a rookie hiker. Its always fun to push people to there limits physically, and I can even say by the time I was done with this hike I was pooped as well. I would not recommend this hike during the spring, as the snow made it difficult to do anything fun. Anyways have fun watching this and please ask any question's you might have.

Yosemite Road Trip // Day 2 - Hiking to Cathedral Lakes and North Dome
Come along on day 2 as Ian and I take a road trip to Yosemite National Park in California. We started our morning at Mono Lake Tufa Reserve for sunrise then headed up Tioga Pass Road to Yosemite. We hiked to Cathedral Lakes in the late morning to check out Cathedral Peak.
In the afternoon we hiked out to North Dome to catch sunset and shoot some milky way photos.
