Cave Rock - Glenbrook NV
The historic Cave Rock, a 360-foot high by 800-foot wide remnant of an ancient volcano, sits on the southeastern shore of Lake Tahoe in western Nevada. The Washoe people, whose ancestral lands encompass the Lake Tahoe Basin, call Cave Rock “Dao w ga” or “the lake.”
As a Owner in the community of Cave Rock Estates you will enjoy one of the finest views in the entire lake Tahoe Basin. Almost every house has either a view from their front porch or a view off the back deck.
There are 69 homes and 22 townhomes. Most of the homes are built on a true mountain slope. Because of the slope, most homes are two to four levels with the largest average square foot of any East Shore communities. Also because of the slope the view are not filtered like most other communities. Most face South to South West with maximum sun exposure, a nice benefit in the Winter months. Many of the lots are more than a half an acre with very little lawns to maintain but the community feels much more private because there are 13 US Forest Service lots that are within the neighborhood. The Cave Rock state beach and boat ramp are located across the street for easy access. The community is surrounded by hiking trails that can take you to the top of Cave Rock or connect you to the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Hiking the Nevada Trails called the hidden forrest.
Five Mile Hike up NO SWITCH BACKS the first mile
has no shade. There is no area to collect water only by the cabin
from natural springs. People leave a lot of stuff behind
cook pot lots of frying pans first Aid kit and more.
We did not stay in the cabin. Lots of fire pits around we used the one that the boy scouts made.
Met some awesome people. A lot of people from bird and hike.

Lake Tahoe flying cave rock
just a few min of a longer flight at Lake Tahoe Cave Rock. Not my best work I had only time for one quick flight and I left my ND8 filter on just after sunrise and I should have used a clear lends. Still a fun flight I wish I could have had one more shot at it....
