Dall’idea dell’Attivista Giuseppe Barbera, il meetup di Campobello di Mazara ha deliberato di portare avanti la proposta di modifica del nome della città da Campobello di Mazara a Campobello Cave di Cusa.

Il secondo atto del Campionato Italiano Regolarità Autostoriche 2019 ha avuto come palcoscenico la Sicilia e la provincia di Trapani.
Il Trofeo Cave di Cusa ha mantenuto come quartier generale, Campobello di Mazara, patria dei migliori regolaristi nazionali e sede del club organizzatore.

The place from where the inhabitants of Selinunte mined the material necessary for the construction of their wonderful temples is 4 kilometers far from Campobello di Mazara in Trapani province : the “Cusa Quarries” the ancient building side of Selinunte. 9 kilometers from the Cave di Cusa, born the most western of the ancient former Siceliot Greek colonies SELINUNTE in Sicily.
A 4 km da Campobello di Mazara in provincia di Trapani, si trova il luogo da cui gli antichi abitanti di “Selinunte” prelevavano il materiale necessario alla costruzione dei loro maestosi Templi : le “Cave di Cusa” e cioè gli antichi cantieri Selinuntini. A 9 km dalle Cave di Cusa, sorge SELINUNTE, la più occidentale delle antiche colonie greche siceliote.

Performance tenutasi alle Cave di Cusa, organizzata dalla pro loco di Campobello di Mazara, nella persona di Mario Cudia, in occasione dell'avvio dell'iter per per la candidatura del sito della colonia Selinuntina -zona compresa tra il fiume Mazaro e il fiume Platani- nella lista del Patrimonio dell’Umanità Unesco, siglato presso il Baglio Florio dai sindaci degli 11 comuni della zona (Campobello, Castelvetrano, Partanna, Mazara, Sciacca, Menfi, Sambuca, Santa Margherita, Caltabellotta, Montevago e Cattolica Eraclea) alla presenza del commissario internazionale del club Unesco Raymond Bondin.
Lo spettacolo, chiamato I Suoni delle Pietre, si è tenuto al tramonto davanti ai due rocchi simbolo delle Cave di Cusa ed ha visto esibirsi il chitarrista Francesco Maria Martorana e l'attrice Martina Calandra, che ha interpretato alcuni brani dell'enciclica Laudato si' di Papa Francesco.

Cave di Cusa, Sicily... Cave di Cusa (meaning “Quarry of Accusation” in Italian) or Rocche di Cusa was an ancient stone quarry in Sicily. I noticed that the inner wall surface and the wall of the column are processed equally, for what and why? That is, in other words that supposedly with picks digging - it's just nonsense, clearly visible mechanical processing, as if bored, or rotational movements of cutting tool . Version with cutter is most likely because the blocks themselves have the cone form.
Я обратил внимание что внутренние стенки и стена колонны обработаны одинаково, зачем и почему ? То есть иными словами что якобы кирками долбили - это просто бред, на лицо обработка, механическая, словно сверлили, или вращательными движениями резца вырезали.. Версия с резцом наиболее вероятна, так как блоки и сами разрезы под конус

Under the Sicilian Sun
During the month of July, I had the opportunity to accompany the Italian family for which I have been working as an AuPair, to their summer home in Campobello di Mazara, Sicily. As I had never before been to southern Italy, I went into the experience with no expectations beyond the promises of heat and canoli's.
At the end of the month, I had a more first-hand perspective of the island and it's population. While I was there I got to experience the extreme differences that separate it from Northern Italy, from the dialect to the lifestyle. It is an ideal destination to anyone looking to spend a lot of the time sweating, swimming and eating.
