Cycling Through Central Park In New York
Join me as I hire a bike and cycle through the stunning Central Park in New York City. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with 40 million visitors in 2013, and one of the most filmed locations in the world. The park itself covers an area of 843 acres making it the fifth largest park in New York City.
In this video I cycle over 6 miles through the park along with stopping off at some of famous locations along the way. This includes the John Lennon Memorial in Strawberry Fields and the incredible Alice In Wonderland statue.
As mentioned in the video, here's a link to the bike rental shop I used just a short 5 minute walk away from Central Park -

New York City Central Park - Manhattan Central Park New York City USA
A typical sunny day in Central Park New York City. People doing bike tours, teams playing volleyball, tourists relaxing and exploring, a few buddies doing push-ups, friends sitting and sunbathing on the grass field, children playing with kites, locals taking the dog out for a walk.........Plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. Besides that you can see The New York skyline in the background always reminding you that you are still in New York City.

The park was established in 1857 on 778 acres (315 ha) of city-owned land. Central Park Tour (New York)
Before heading home we took a tour of the famous Central Park in the heart of Manhattan on a 1 hrs bicycle tour. It was fast and convenient, however, the tour was slightly quicker and didn't have time to see everything. Would not recommend for future tourist to take the bike tour. We only got chance to visit the Baltom, Bethesda Fountain, and Minton Tile Ceiling at Bethesda Terrace and many mores.

Bike Ride Through Central Park - Sail the Park - Times Square - New York City, New York
On our first day in New York City we took a bike tour of Central Park! This was a great way to see the park with our kids, and get a history of the area. We explored Central Park's pond, Gapstow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace and fountain, saw rowers on Central Park's lake, Belvedere Castle, Turtle Pond, and more! There is also a small amusement park and zoo in Central Park. After our bike tour and a slice of New York style pizza, we headed back in to the park to let the kids race sailboats around the pond with Sail the Park. It was a fabulous day and we walked an all time record number of steps!

A DAY AT THE BIG APPLE'S CENTRAL PARK IN NEW YORK, NEW YORK
It was a wonderful, cool, and sunny Saturday, on April 23, 2016. The Pepper Bird Magazine's Africa Teach-In Television Show's Roaming Camera was prowling the Big Apple Community in search community news, events, and/or activities to feature in a future television show.. Fortunately, The Pepper Bird Magazine has friends and supporters across the United States who often offer positive and helpful suggestion to our staff; and one of such suggestions was to hire a Pedi-dirver or horse driven buggy from around Time Square in Manhattan to take us sightseeing or just riding around the city. Heeding their suggestion, our staff were also fortunate to hire Pedi-driver and the only Gold Star Central Park Tour Guide, Moussa Fall (From Senegal, West Africa) for the job. Moussa Fall proved to be an excellent tour guide, who allowed us to record his presentation, and our rewarding tour experience, during our ride through NYC's Central Park. We extend sincere thanks and appreciation to Moussa Fall for his contribution to fulfill the continued mission and objective The Pepper Bird Magazine's Africa Teach-In Television Show to educate other around the world and in Rhode Island about the African and African American people, communities, and cultures,

Best Central Park New York City
Central Park is a large public park in Manhattan, New York City. The area is 3.41 km² with rectangular shape (4 km long, 800 m wide). Each year, the park is visited by around 25 million people, and it is also the most visited park in the United States.
Central Park is one of the most famous parks in the world, because this park is often used as the location of films and material coverage on television. The management is a non-profit private organization Central Park Conservancy contracted by the Department of Parks and Recreation of New York City.
On the north side, Central Park is bordered by West 110th Street (more commonly known as Central Park North), on the western side of Central Park West, on the south side with West 59th Street (Central Park South), and on the east side with Fifth Avenue. The road on the east side of the park is never referred to as Central Park East, but rather Fifth Avenue. Around the park there are luxurious buildings and is an area with high land prices.
The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. Both are also known as the designers of Prospect Park in nearby Brooklyn. Though natural, the landscape of Central Park is entirely the result of human intervention. Inside the park are artificial lakes and ponds, walkways, two ice skating rinks, wildlife reserves, lawns and playgrounds for children. Central Park is often visited by migratory birds to become a favorite place for bird watchers. The overall length of the roads within the park is 10 km. Visitors crowded jogging, cycling, or skate, especially on weekends or since 19:00 after motor vehicles are banned.

New York City - Central Park Video Tour (Part 1)
New York Habitat features a complete presentation of the New York's massive 843-acre oasis, right in the middle of Manhattan, Central Park.
You will see that you don't have to go far to escape the craziness of city life.
Please make sure to check out the related New York Habitat blog article to discover more information about Central Park.
The second part of the video tour of Central Park is already available.
Central Park hosts over 25 million visitors per year. It's the most visited park in the United States and its appearance in many movies and television shows has made it famous around the world.
Central Park is bordered on the north by West 110th Street, on the south by West 59th Street, on the west by Eighth Avenue -- which along the Park's borders are known as Central Park North, Central Park South, and Central Park West respectively.
Fifth Avenue retains its name and forms the eastern border of the park.
Central Park contains several lakes and ponds, extensive walking trails, two ice-skating rinks (one of which is a swimming pool in July and August), the Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Conservatory Garden, a wildlife sanctuary, a large area of natural woods, a reservoir with an encircling running track, 37 kids playgrounds, children's yoga, the Delacorte Theater and, of course, the famous Central Park Carousel.
Bethesda Terrace - Mid-Park at 72nd Street
When Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux designed the park in the late 1850's, they knew they needed a special place in the Park where people could gather. They needed to create a center for socializing, for people to see and be seen, Bethesda Terrace is that place. Hang around here long enough and you'll see it all... street performers, wedding photographs, musicians, artists and more.
Central Park Zoo and the Children's Zoo -- East Side at 64th St.
The Central Park Zoo had some bleak years back in the 70s and 80s. It had been neglected and its animals were living in small cramped cages. It has since been renovated and today it's a thriving healthy zoo with a lot to see. Come see the polar bears, the sea lion pool, monkeys and the amazing tropical rain forest. Just next door is the Children's Zoo. This is a must-see if you have kids. They've got goats, pigs, turtles, ducks and even a cow named Othello. The best part - most of the animals can be touched and fed.
Don't forget that a great way to experience New York is to rent an apartment from New York Habitat. We offer apartments all around Central Park including vacation rentals and Bed & Breakfast . It's a great alternative to the usual hotel and it'll save you money!
This studio accommodation with terrace on the Upper West Side (NY-12814) is a great option if you're looking for quick access to Central Park.
If you're looking to live across the street from the Park, you'll want to consider this amazing one bedroom vacation rental on Central Park South (NY-11135) . The building offers round-the-clock concierge staff, a full-service business center, onsite fitness center and health spa, valet parking, multilingual staff, laundry services and even cellular telephone rental. Last but not least, it is also home to the world famous Alain Ducasse restaurant.
Wolman Rink - East Side between 62nd and 63rd Streets
Wollman Rink was built in 1949 when Kate Wollman donated $600,000 for its construction. In the early 1990's, it was sold and is now run by Donald Trump.
The Pond
Our last stop in part 1 of our Central Park series is one of my favorite little corners of Central Park. It's called, quite fittingly, The Pond. It's in the southeast corner of the park and you'll find ducks, turtles, a few benches and a cute little stone bridge. It's hard to believe you're just a few feet away from 5th Avenue!
Now, that we will move on to our 2nd Video Tour of Central Park!
Do not hesitate to check other video tours by New York Habitat on other area of New York such as the madison square park area
