The World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) is a nonprofit, collecting institution situated in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, United States.
The WCHOF is the only institution of its kind and offers a variety of programming to explore the dynamic relationship between art and chess, including educational outreach initiatives that provide context and meaning to the game and its continued educational impact. Founded in 1984, it is run by the United States Chess Trust, a charitable arm of the United States Chess Federation. Formerly located in New Windsor, New York; Washington D.C.; and Miami, Florida, it moved to St. Louis on September 9, 2011.

AMAZING American MD-80 Approach and Landing in St. Louis
This is an excerpt from my Puerto Vallarta trip report, which you can watch in full here: Since this landing was so epic, I thought I'd break it out into its own video. I've landed in St. Louis over 100 times in my life, and I've never seen an approach quite like this one. I got to see destinations I've been visiting my whole life (the Lake of the Ozarks and my hometown of Jefferson City, MO) before descending over all the western suburbs of St. Louis County. Then, we flew parallel to the airport to circle around and land from the East. Air traffic control sent us way into the city, which meant that Forest Park, the Central West End, Downtown (including the Anheuser Busch brewery), and the Mississippi river were all visible from low altitude. We went all the way into Illinois before turning back to the airport, and the perfect, clear weather meant the view was spectacular the whole way. It felt like a chartered air tour more than a commercial flight. For anyone interested in St. Louis's geography, or really anyone that likes watching planes land, this was an incredible opportunity to see the whole city in a very unique way. I've subtitled the video to point out landmarks to people unfamiliar with the area.
This flight was inbound from DFW during March of 2015.
