Customer Project: Food Court Roof of Centrum Černý Most, Prague (Czech Republic)
The construction of the extended shopping mall Centrum Černý Most in Prague was finished and opened in March 2013. The project was designed by the architects from the British firm Benoy.
From architectural point of view, the most impressive structural component of the shopping mall Černý Most is the partially glazed roof over the food court. This is where the design of the featured steel structure found its use.
The main beams are tall welded box sections. They curve in the ground plan with a radius of one meter. and seem to differ from one another, but they have identical geometry. The ground plan in the characteristic part of the roof consists of a beam with two bends that is alternately mirrored about the vertical plane in the transverse and then in the longitudinal direction of the roof.
The stability of the main beams is secured by secondary beams of a similar but the more subtile cross‑section. The secondary beams weave through each other and mutually support themselves in every field. The production and assembly were challenging. The individual parts of the snake beams were welded on the spot.
The structural model for the internal forces analysis and design was created in the structural engineering program RFEM.

A shopping arcade is a specific form serving the same purpose., Obchodní centrum nebo nákupní centrum je budova nebo soustava budov, ve kterých jsou jednotlivé maloobchody, které jsou propojeny cestami pro chůzi z jednoho maloobchodu do druhého.
Každý z těchto obchodů funguje samostatně a pod svojí značkou nezávisle na obchodním centru. Objekty tohoto typu lze nalézt v příměstských lokalitách, Торго́вый центр (нем. Einkaufszentrum, галерея, пассаж, торгово-развлекательный комплекс, молл) — группа предприятий торговли, управляемых как единое целое и находящихся в одном здании или комплексе зданий. По определению Международного совета торговых центров, торговым центром можно считать группу архитектурно объединённых розничных предприятий, управляемых единой компанией, обеспеченных парковкой и расположенных на специально спланированном участке

July 3, 2018. It was a rather dry day outside (26 degrees and 20 percent humidity), so time to film an identikit shopping mall lift model I haven't filmed yet... This suburban mall is trying hard to remain a one story mall and visually copy a place such as King of Prussia, but car parks both top and bottom require elevators to access.

VANOCE V CENTRUM CERNY MOST , CHRISTMAS TIME IN PRAGUE, CERNAK, PRAGUE 9, Centrum Černý Most (CČM) je obchodní a zábavní centrum nacházející se v Praze na území městské části Praha 14 v katastrálním území Černý Most. Poprvé bylo otevřeno 30. listopadu 1997, což z něj dělá nejstarší obchodní centrum tohoto typu v České republice.[1]
Součástí CČM je hypermarket provozovaný společností Globus. Jedná se o druhý nejstarší otevřený hypermarket Globus v ČR.
V roce 2000 bylo v rámci CČM otevřeno i čtyřpatrové zábavní centrum, jehož součásti bylo mj. i multikino původně provozované společností Village Cinemas, která však byla v listopadu 2009 odkoupena firmou Cinestar. S otevřením nového centra Černý Most bylo zábavní centrum Černý Most uzavřeno a některé obchody byly přesunuty do nového centra Černý Most. Ty, které se nepřesunuly, se úplně uzavřely. V zábavním centru v roce 2016 vznikl dům s nábytkem XXXLutz.
