Poblacion Century City Makati Philippines
I started this video where I left off from the my last, The Pasig river park vid. I proceeded to Poblacion to explore and admire the tall skyscrapers there. I particularly wanted to see the how tall the Gramercy Residences and Trump Tower Manila really are.
There is a slight climb right at the JP Rizal St going towards the intersection of the Makati Ave.
We are now right at the Makati ave. One of the busiest streets during weekends. The Makati Ave is the gateway of Makati from Mandaluyong. But on a weekend the traffic is so light.
I am right in front of the A venue mall. I haven't actually been in there so I don't know what to expect. Write on the comments below if you want me to explore the a venue.
Now lets take a closer look at the Gramercy Residences and the Trump Tower Manila and explore the century city a little more.
The century city is a mixed used development developed by the century properties. It is home to a some of the tallest buildings in the country.The Gramercy Residences a residential high rise condominium and one of the top ten tallest and the Trump Tower manila also a residential tower and the second tallest building in Philippines to date.
Now we have the Century City Mall. the anchor retail center of the century city. it has a total leasable area of 17,000 sqm with 100 shops. Its a 5 level shopping mall that has shopping dining 4 movie houses and its anchor tenant the Rustan's Supermarket.
We are back at the Makati Ave. Poblacion is home to a number of hotels and restaurants. Foreigners loves to visit the area because the accommodations here are relatively cheap. the restaurants here is good as well and the area is very near the Makati central business district.

Walk to Century City Mall Starbucks from Makati City, A-Venue, Centuria Medical | (Philippines)
This video I walk you through typical day while in Makati, Philippines.
Usually it starts out with waking up at some random sometimes budget hotel (I am a budget minded travel blogger) and finding my way to a Starbucks or Coffee Bean.
I can't honestly say that every days typical, but this is a good example of a nice walk from Makati City (Poblacion or Old Town) to Century City Mall to find my favorite Starbucks.
While i'm doing this walk to Century City you're going to see some of pleasantries of the Philippines along the way! I'll comment about these things that I see along the way as best possible.
Also, right across from a A-Venue is a live band party area with some great concessionary foods - It's a must see!
Lastly the new Centuria Medical Makati. What a major medical center this will be. A one stop outpatient center with services ranging from dermatology to radiology, all under one roof.

Century City Mall Now Open Kalayaan Avenue Makati. Soft launch was on February 17, 2014, originally slated to open on December 2013. Century Properties has infused over P1 billion for the project, which was designed by the Singapore-based Broadway Malyan in collaboration with Century's professional architecture and design team. Luxury retail brands will occupy the mall's first level, while lifestyle fashion brands will be on the second floor. The third level will house cinemas that utilize the latest innovations in film technology, one of which will be an ultra exclusive Dolby Atmos 80-seater theater with its own lounge. The third level will also have retail stores such as the largest Apple reseller in Southeast Asia as well as food and beverage shops. Al fresco dining will be situated on the fourth level, while the fifth level will have a rooftop bar.
Three basement levels will be dedicated to parking space. The mall will also offer full valet service for added customer ease. Basement parking is currently free.

Another weekend vlog! Saturday night we checked out Circuit Makati since we've been hear a lot about it. We ate dinner at Backyard and had desserts at Outre. Both places had some good food!

Later that night Kat and Sep hit us up to go out to celebrate a friends bday and have some drink.
The Next day we had dinner with some friends at Hole in the Wall at Century City. We order from Bon Appetit and Bad Bird. We then headed over to Andale for some drinks and kwentuhan.

Exploring Century City Makati
Century City is a 3.4-hectare (8.4-acre) mixed-use development in Makati, Philippines being developed by Century Properties. Housing several of the Philippines' Upscale and tallest buildings, namely The Gramercy Residences, The Milano Residences, The Knightsbridge Residences, and Trump Tower Manila are located here, as well as the 17,000-square-metre (180,000 sq ft) Century City Mall.[1] Once completed, Century City will comprise two to three office buildings for business process outsourcing companies, two to three other residential towers and an IT park.
Century City Mall is the retail anchor for the Century City complex. It is a boutique mall and lifestyle center which has 17,000 square meters of leasable space for around 100 tenants. It is anchored by Rustan's Supermarket and a four-screen digital cinema. The five-level shopping mall also contains several restaurants and bars, including the 12 Monkeys Music Hall and Pub located on the mall's rooftop. It was completed in 2014.

CaliBurger has made some tweaks to the In-N-Out formula that even some Southern California die-hards might find an improvement on the original. - LA Times. Expect a tender juicy craveworthy burger, we highly recommend the Cali Double Burger and the wild fries. Satisfy your thirst with a creamy milkshake or an ice cold bottle of American beer. During the weekends they will be open late and have a live band.

Banana Leaf Southeast Asian Cuisine Century City Mall Makati. Banana Leaf is the multi-awarded Southeast Asian restaurant that first introduced Filipino diners to the delights of modern Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and Indonesian cuisine when it opened its first branch in Greenbelt 1 on August 8, 2001. Originally a franchise from Hong Kong they now have multiple branches across the Philippines. Their dishes use authentic ingredients sourcds from the appropriate home countries, and developed by international master chefs/ When it comes to authentic contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine, no one serves it up better than Banana Leaf.
One of our favorite restaurants for their Roti Canai which is a huge Indian flat break that is flaky and crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside and best dipped into a curry sauce. Other dishes that we recommend are the Malayan Prawn Coconut Curry, Chicken Sate, Pandan Chicken, Sauteed Clams in Singaporean Chili, Prawn Toasts, Black Pepper Prawns and above all their Singaporean Black Pepper Crab - delish! :-)

Kimukatsu Pork Cutlet Century City Mall Makati Philippines. One of the best tonkatsu restaurants in Manila! Kimukatsu is the most famous pork cutlet restaurant in Japan with many locations throughout Japan like Tokyo, Osaka, and Sendai. Today we are visiting their newest branch in Manila at the Century City Mall in Makati. What makes them unique is they offer their signature Kimukatsu which is 25 layers of thinly sliced pork, breaded with fresh Japanese bread crumbs and fried slowly at low temperature for 8 minutes. Then it is set vertically for two minutes to steam allowing the heat to spread evenly inside which is all part of the original recipe and process. The texture is exquisite with the layering and a must try if you have never tried it before. As with most Tonkatsu restaurants, rice, cabbage, and miso is refillable with each set. You can choose from red miso or regular miso soup, the koshihikari rice was hot and perfectly cooked and served in a kamameshi pot! Highly recommended are the Yuzu Kosho Kimukatsu with yuzu fruits and green chili pepper, Kurobuta Tonkotsu and the Assorted Seafood Set with Shrimp, Oysters and Scallop.

Hole in the Wall is the most dynamic food hall in the Philippines today which opened on November 2014 and is located at the 4th level of the new Century City Mall in Makati.
This 500 seat food hall was the brainchild of Charles Paw and his seasoned chef partners to bring a unique food experience within a trendy and hip communal dining area with an assortment of custom seating and furniture. Charles Paw is President of Beyond the Box and the man behind gadget retail stores Digital Hub, Digital Walker and Crumpler, and restaurants Wrong Ramen, and Hanamaruken Ramen.
Restaurant concepts at Hole in the Wall include: Scout's Honor, Phobobo, Posporo Taqueria Filipino, Mister Delicious, Smoky Bastard Bar, Bad Bird, The Beef, Liberation Shawarma, Green Cheese, Tiny Duchess.
From the restaurants covered there are a few dishes that may prove orgasmic in your mouth, We would recommend Scout’s Honor for the freshly baked and scrumptious craft cookies, Bad Bird’s Umami Fried Chicken with Dirty Rice and Kimchi, Liberation Shawarma’s Beef and Pork Rice and Mister Delicious’s Wagyu Pastrami best paired with a craft beer from Smoky Bastard.

I love this mall because it is so close to our condo/hotel. It has everything you'll need. Besides the usual clothes and shoes, there are fine dining restaurants, hardware store, bakery, and rustan's grocery store. Best of all this mall is not as crowded as any other malls even during holiday seasons, this is a big plus for us because we have three toddlers.
