ความพิเศษของอุทยานแห่งชาติแจ้ซ้อน ไม่เพียงอยู่ที่ธรรมชาติบริสุทธิ์แล้ว ที่นี่ยังได้รับยกย่องให้เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพที่ได้รับความนิยมมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมทั้งยังเป็นสถานที่ดำเนินงานตามแนวพระราชดำรัสในการใช้พลังงานน้ำธรรมชาติมาประยุกต์ใช้ให้เป็นประโยชน์ อุทยานแห่งชาติแจ้ซ้อนสามารถท่องเที่ยวได้ตลอดทั้งปี แต่จะได้รับความนิยมมากในช่วงฤดูหนาวที่มีบรรยากาศสวยที่สุด นักท่องเที่ยวจึงมักจับจองบ้านพักกันจนเต็ม
บ่อน้ำร้อนแจ้ซ้อน เป็นแหล่งน้ำพุร้อนที่มีสภาพการเกิดทางธรณีวิทยามีกลิ่นกำมะถันอ่อน ๆจำนวน 9 บ่อ ตั้งอยู่รวมกันในบริเวณพื้นที่ที่ทำการอุทยานฯ ประมาณ 3 ไร่ ภายในพื้นที่มีโขดหินน้อยใหญ่กระจัดกระจายอยู่ทั่วไป ยามเช้าจะมองเห็นภาพไอน้ำลอยกรุ่นขึ้นมาจากบ่อปกคลุมโดยรอบดูสวยงามราวภาพวาด โดยน้ำพุร้อนนั้นมีอุณหภูมิเฉลี่ย 73 องศาเซลเซียสนักท่องเที่ยวนิยมนำไข่ไก่และไข่นกกระทามาแช่ ซึ่งหากแช่ไข่ไก่นานประมาณ 17 นาที ไข่แดงจะแข็งมีรสชาติมันอร่อย ส่วนไข่ขาวจะเหลวคล้ายไข่เต่า
Chae Son National Park
Chae Son National Park is a very popular tourist attraction of Lampang Province. It covers the area of 480,000 Rai and 786 square meters of 4 districts of Lampang; Muang Pan, Muang, Chae Hom and Wang Nuea. The park is a host to hot springs, Chae Son waterfall and the festival of blooming “Dok Siew” (white Chongko flowers) that blooms during winter. It also provides nature trails, viewpoints, mineral baths and accommodations for tourists. Chae Son National Park was awarded “The Best National Park of 2000” from the awarding ceremony organized on the Royal Forest Department’s 104th anniversary on September 18, 2000.
Chae Son National Park was declared the 58th national park of Thailand on July 28, 1988.

Chae Son National Park Tour
Chae Son National Park is located 75 km from Lampang City in Mueang Pan and Chae Hom districts in a lush, forested, mountainous area. It is especially interesting for its natural hot springs and its waterfall. The roads in the park are a haven for motorcyclists with lots of gradients and sweeping bends together with tight hairpins.
Admission: THB 200 per adult and THB 100 per child and THB 30 per car. Stay tuned till the end for some hairy moments on the mountain roads.

Located 1.5 hours (about 75km) from where we live. Walking uphill proved to be quite a feat for Sophia. So, we did not go as high up. Plenty of nature. Clean. Good signages.

Chae Son National Park is a rich mountainous forest located in the northeast of Lumpang province.
Before Chae Son became the National Park it was a Forest Park which had two names Eang Nam Oun and Chae Son Waterfall The latter naming it after one of the Parks Waterfalls. Ministers approved the promotion of tourism in Lumpang province and the go ahead was given to convert Chae Son Waterfall into a National Park.
The Park was officially surveyed by Royal Forest Department staff soon after this and led to a decision by the board of directors, which in turn led to the Royal Decree that officially turned Chae Son into a National Park on 28th July 1988, becoming Thailand’s 58th National Park.
