5 Places to Visit in Baltimore - What to SEE and EAT! || Did you know that the U.S. national anthem originated in Baltimore MD? In this video, I cover 5 fun things to do in Baltimore, one of which is where the anthem was first recited.

Of the Baltimore tourist attractions, the first would be trying a jumbo lump crab cake at Faidley Seafood. This has been a spot on the Baltimore places to visit since 1886, where fresh seafood has been served up.
Of the things to do in downtown Baltimore, Oriole Park is also a great spot. I don't just say that because I am a big baseball fan. This is one of the most beautiful ballparks in baseball, especially with the historic B&O railroad warehouse built into the stadium. You can also meet former Oriole player and MVP Boog Powell at Boog's BBQ. What also makes this one of the places to go in Baltimore is the stadium tour, which takes you inside the press box, suite level, and onto the field!
Third on the list of Baltimore Maryland tourist attractions is the inner harbor. You can visit Federal Hill Park which provides a great view of the city skyline. Also part of the Baltimore inner harbor attractions is the U.S.S. Constellation, a ship that played a big role in stopping slave importation into America. Furthermore, another of the inner harbor attractions is the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House, where the U.S. flag that inspired the U.S. national anthem was created.
Fourth on the list of what to see in Baltimore is Fell's Point. One of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, it has great bars and restaurants and beautiful cobblestone streets. It is an overlooked part of Baltimore sightseeing.
Finally, Fort McHenry and the Edgar Allan Poe gravesite are two Baltimore sights that didn't fit into the other areas covered above. Fort McHenry was the site of the Battle of Baltimore, and where the U.S. national anthem was first recited. The Edgar Allan Poe gravesite honors the famous poet and short story writer.

Baltimore 2018 Travel Vlog - Inner Harbor & More!
My annual trip to Baltimore. Riding up on Amtrak as always, staying at my favorite hotel, the Inner Harbor Days Inn. Roaming around the inner harbor, lurking near but not actually attending BronyCon 2018 handing out German Chocolate. Going up to the observation level in the world trade center, climbing up on Federal Hill, visiting It's Sugar, and of course getting cheese cake from The Cheesecake Factory!
Length of vlogging from each different day was so varied I didn't feel right posting them individually with one day being 20 minutes, another being 4 minutes and so on. So potentially apologies, but here's the whole wonderful trip!
Also in It's Sugar they were playing music which came through clearly enough on my camera to get a copyright claim, so I muted it and replaced it with copyright-free music.

Skate The Streets Of Baltimore With Gary Smith, Spencer Brown & Friends
Baltimore is one of the most overlooked cities on the eastern seaboard of the USA. Nestled in between the two skate meccas of Washington DC and Philadelphia, it's easy to say next time whilst on a road trip up or down I-95.
On top of an incredible skate scene, Baltimore is home to a vast amount of American history, including being the birthplace of baseball legend Babe Ruth, and the place in which Francis Scott Key wrote The Star-Spangled Banner, a song that would later be adopted as the national anthem of the United States of America.
Skating in Baltimore is tough. Not just because of the weather, the infrastructure and it being a densely populated city, but also because Baltimore is just very old by American standards. Founded in 1729, a lot of the streets, sidewalks, houses and buildings have seen their share of weather's attritional effects. Between the cracks and the crowds lie some serious east coast gems, though.
Legendary Baltimore skater Gary Smith helps the skate scene thrive by shredding the streets, as well as running Vu Skateshop, while legendary Baltimore heads like Spencer Brown, Tony Massey, Jason Spivey, Steve Batton and slew of others reinterpret that battered urban terrain for a new generation.
Next time you're on the east coast, don't hesitate to stop and see why Baltimore has earned the nickname Charm City. Cruise around some of the oldest streets in America while skating some of the most legendary spots, before finishing off the day with a nice crab cake from the upscale crab shacks in the city's rebuilt waterfront district based around her famous inner harbour.

Johns Hopkins Hospital (founded 1889) and Johns Hopkins University (founded 1876) are the city's top two employers. With hundreds of identified districts, Baltimore has been dubbed a city of neighborhoods. Famous residents have included writers Edgar Allan Poe, Edith Hamilton, Frederick Douglass, and H. L. His poem was set to music and popularized as a song; in 1931 it was designated as the American national anthem.Baltimore has more public statues and monuments per capita than any other city in the country, and is home to some of the earliest National Register Historic Districts in the nation, including Fell's Point, Federal Hill, and Mount Vernon. These were added to the National Register between 1969–1971, soon after historic preservation legislation was passed. Nearly one third of the city's buildings (over 65,000) are designated as historic in the National Register, which is more than any other U.S. city.
