Cherokee Trace Drive Through Safari (Click HD)
Cherokee Trace Drive Through Safari - While on an East Texas Hog Hunt, we took the middle of the day off to enjoy a local Safari. Not knowing what to expect from Cherokee Trace Drive Through Safari, we went into the drive expecting a rather small place. Turned out we were wrong, and had a BLAST! Caleb got to feed an elk with his mouth, a buffalo tried to use my mirror as a scratching post, I was bit by an emu... It was fun!
Seriously, if you ever end up in East Texas, check them out. They are not a sponsor in any way. We're just passing along a fun place to take the kids.
Enjoy :)

Hope you enjoyed this Family Trip to Fossil Rim Vlog! xoxo
We had so much fun! This was such a great alternative to being in the direct heat at a regular zoo && we were able to get so close and feed the animals. Our son loved it so much, we definitely plan to go back.
They do have tour busses where they have a guide if you're interested in learning a little more about the animals and the land.
*** NOTE: No, our son was not strapped in his car seat while we drove in the park. We never exceeded a speed limit of 15mph and we wanted him to get the full experience. :)

Killough Monument - Cherokee County, Texas
This is the site of the Killough Indian Massacre. 18 were claimed victim to this massacre. This site is said to be haunted by Native American spirits. Some claim to have unknown scratches on their body after leaving the site. Even in the daylight this site is creepy. Hex and Faun would say that the monument was about 40 feet tall. The fact that it is in the absolute middle of nowhere also adds to the eerie factor.
I apologize for the poor audio quality, we're looking to get an external mic with a dead cat to filter the wind out.

You'll be able to see Elk, Water Buffalo and Wildebeest running free. Tigers, Hyenas and Zebra are just a few of the animals that you'll see on your safari!
North America use to be home to 60 million Bison, but now the species survives in a few national parks. Seem large and sluggish but are capable of running at speeds of 30-35 mph. Bison are grazers, and eat grasses and sedges. Can live 18-22 years long.
RDTV June 14 2015 Ghost Town 2 Rajneesh Oregon
Back in 1993 when we visited what was once a controversial commune was already a ghost town. Rajneesh stirred up the state but in the state it was left in no one was worried not even the caretaker we ran into and interviewed that day. Photographer Bill Goetz captured the moments.
